Medearis & Severe PA

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I consulted with Michael Severe for a parenting plan modification case. He told me he would need a retainer fee of $ 3,000.00 for a pre-​trial which would only be 15 minutes in court. I was seeking legal counsel a bit late, so I was great full he could take me on short notice. I gave him ¹⁄₃^rd of the money and he told me I could bring the rest of the money to his office the morning befor court. We agreed to meet at 8:30 am. On the way to his office I was in a car accident. I called his office several times and sent several emails and got no response. When I was done exchanging insurance and personal information for the accident I got to his office at 8:42 am (twelve minutes late) and no one was there. I had given michael severe all my court paper work and did not know the court room number. I drove downtown to the court house from there. On the way there i continiued to call his office. Eventually his secretary answered and explained michael would not be coming because he did not have his money by 8:30am and it did not matter that I was in a accident. I asked her if she could tell the the courtroom number that i was suppose to go to because i had given michael severe all of my court papers. She told me to ask the front desk at the courthouse. After waiting in line the woman at the front desk said she could not find it in the computer without the case number at least. I had to call back micheal severs secretary again and explain that I could not find the courtroom number without the case # and she finally gave it to me. I ended up being late to the hearing because he had all of my court information and would not respond to me. I ended up by myself with no representation during court which left me in tears. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a lawyer in my life. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

I consulted Mike about some issues I was having at my job. He provided some guidance on how I could proceed and he was both knowledgeable and friendly. His advice allowed me to navigate a stressful situation with a positive outcome.
