Fishhawk Tavern

Meh… the band was way too loud for the space. The bar is configured all wrong. Not enough areas to sit with friends… the more crowded it got the hotter the place was… drinks were flat. I did love the stage area where the bands play. the wall covering was fun. Overall not impressed and that’s a shame because this place has some potential… shrink the bar area, get rid of the pool tables, reconfigure the floor plan and add some warmth to the walls and this place would rock.

Was here before (yrs ago) when it was something else. This place is mediocre, & nothing special. We just came in for a couple of beers. Half the taps were out so the choices were limited. We played pool, which was cool! One of my peeves in a sports type bar… represent ALL local universities, especially the one in the area (USF). You can support your fave, which obviously is Bama here, but be fair to your patrons!
One positive, the DJ was great!
Overall, not impressed & more than likely will not be back!

Been here with my wife twice. First time the service was atrocious. Saturday night and there was one bartender. She was attractive but had no idea how to do her job. She had to look up how to make every drink that was ordered. She never offered more drinks. We always had to ask. It was not crowded but she was overwhelmed. Saw who I guessed was the owner but he just watched and drank, never helped.
Second visit was even better. We arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday evening. Busy time right? Door was wide open but the place was dead. I don’t mean no customers. I mean no people including employees. TVs were on. Lights on. Totally empty. We stood there for a while just to see if any would show up. Stayed empty. On Saturday night. I bet my wife $ 1 it would not last till 2014.
