the woman, Karen, who gave me my massage, body wrap, and exfoliation was amazing! I have never felt better after a massage. My skin was practically glowing and so soft! I felt totally renewed. I would go back to her hands down.
However, when I was passed onto the woman who did my nails I was completely unimpressed. She did very very little to my nails but I got a lot more massage. When she started painting my Nails it was a disaster. She got it all over my cuticles and skin around my nails and did not even clean it off. Then she proceeded to lay her hand on my wet nails and had to keep re doing them. I was there for over an hour and a half just for the manicure!!! She also told me point blank that she does not know how to do any designs. I would never go back to get my nails done!
The shampoo and style was nice, nothing too special. It also wasn’t horrendous. I would only recommend going to their massage therapist (mine was Karen!!!) Who is a god send! The rest of their facilities are not impressive.

I had a gift certificate from SpaFinder to use… Utopia was only one of two places in Lincoln to accept SpaFinder gift certificates. Having had a massage at Utopia before, it was a no brainer.
For this recent visit, I did the Deluxe Spa Package (I’ll list all treatments below, then discuss).

I LOVED the salt glow (my first time trying that – I’d happily pay to do that again!), LOVED the full body massage, and I was pleasantly surprised by the steam sauna. That was absolutely fabulous, and Ryanna (sp?) did a terrific job – I’d go back to her again and would recommend her to anyone! The Swiss shower was underwhelming… sure I needed to clean off all the salt before my massage, but I would never pay to take that kind of shower.
A young girl named Rachel did my mani and pedi. She was a very sweet girl, but I wasn’t impressed with her mani-​pedi skills. She spent far more time massaging my legs/​arms (which she KNEW had just been through a full body massage and salt scrub, so it seemed a bit pointless) than she spent on my actual nails. She talked me into a French pedicure that was mediocre looking, at best. I told her I don’t typically get manicures because my nails are thin and soft and always splitting, so I just trim them short. This is what really bothered me – she trimmed my nails a bit (they’re longer than usual for me, but still not showing above the finger), then filed them all square (without asking if I wanted them round or square) in a SEE-​SAW manner! The one thing I know about filing nails is that you DO NOT file them back and forth in a SEE-​SAW motion. I didn’t say anything, because I assume they’ll split soon and I’ll trim them back again, as usual. But I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone who wants to keep their nails intact… I’m surprised someone in a professional salon would do something like this. I was disappointed with my mani-​pedi, and I would not pay to return for those treatments…

I went here twice for haircuts. The atmosphere is clean and relaxing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I was also very satisfied with the high quality of service I received. However, the price for a haircut is way too high in my opinion. I was charged $ 32 before tax. If you go across the street to the College of Hair Design, they will apparently give a comparable haircut for under $ 10.00. For the reason of price alone, I have switched from Utopia to CHD.

Great hair stylist named Kendra Mace! Does wonders with my hair and fantastic to talk to

This is a lovely facility, and small enough that you feel like you are in a cozy exotic hotel spa. Kendra Mace has done an amazing job coloring and cutting my hair. The prices are very reasonable for such a nice place.

I went to their new location at 8450 Amber Hill Road — 1 block south of Hwy 2 on 84^th. The facilities are beautiful and clean. Prices are very reasonable. Staff were very kind, considering I got lost getting there and was 10 minutes late. But massage therapist, Lisa Dickinson, didn’t hold that against me and provided a terrific 1 hour massage and ear candleing. I will definitely go there next time I visit Lincoln, and ask for Lisa!
