Went there to purchase a bike and a trailer for our daughter. The staff completely ignored us and it wasn’t because they were overly busy. Even at other stores you enter normally someone at least says hello. Nothing. Also it was hard to differentiate who worked there and who was just shopping. We will not be back

Staff are helpful in seeking what you are looking for but things are definitely overpriced!

Great store and great staff. I recently bought my bike there (Trek 7.2 FX 2014) and the staff was super patient and helpful. A+ customer service — which is hard to come by.
I would highly recommend Cycle Works. You won’t be disappointed!

The largest true bicycle shop in town. The largest bicycle showroom in town. All I could do was stand in the showroom and dream.
I was in the market for a second bike. These guys had performed service on my wheels before. They did an excellent job, although the wait time was slightly longer than I would have liked. I suppose I can chalk that up to them being busy.
However, I didn’t buy a bike here. I was very serious about purchasing a higher-​end Trek for my growing collection. I felt ignored by the staff present; not a big deal, but kind of a big deal if you’re planning on spending $ 1,000 on a bike. The Ben Franklins and I didn’t feel comfortable and went on our way.
Cycle Works has been at 27^th and Vine for as long as I can remember. I’ve met the owner before and I must say he is a classy dude who knows his stuff. Cycle Works carries everything from kids bikes to leisure bikes to professional road-​racing bikes. The service department can be trusted. To put it simply, on this day it just didn’t work out, but I will probably be back.

Cycle Works is my go-​to bike shop in Lincoln. If you are looking for an entry level bike or something more higher end, this is your place. The mostly cater to adults but they do have a selection of kids bikes and kid trailers. I purchased a hybrid bike a couple years ago and was happy with the purchase. The salesman directed me to the right style of bike rather quickly.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful. There is never any pressure from the sales people so you don’t feel obligated to purchase anything.
They don’t cary all the brands of bikes but you’ll find names like Surly, Trek and Giant. They carry styles of bikes like road, street, racing, mountain (29ers) and kids.
They have a full time repair shop and they can do a lot of service while you wait. Tune-​ups take a little bit of time. Call ahead to schedule an appointment. I tried walking in for a tune-​up and I didn’t the bike back for a week. That was probably the only negative experience I have had.
Cycle Works also carries a large selection of accessories including saddles, helmets, clothing, bike racks, tools and replacement parts. The building is also connected to the Moose’s Tooth, which is a must see for any outdoor (camping/​hiking) enthusiast in the area.

I came here for bike maintenance. Their prices are not cheap but the quality of work seems quite high. So if budget is not a huge issue, this is a good place to go. You get what you pay for.

Cycle Works, you guys are amazing! I love my new bike and I am so happy and grateful for the service I received from you. The staff at Cycle Works is genuine about their craft and excited for others who are just as passionate — whether you are just starting out or been cycling your whole life. Not only did I get professional and honest opinions for my needs and skill level, but I also got a good deal on the price and accessories.
I definitely did my research and visited local shops in Lincoln to compare. I even revisited all the shops– just because first impressions aren’t always great. Again, Cycle Works proved to be the best. The other shops were okay, but do not compare to the knowledge and positive vibe at CW. They are smaller than CW, yet I felt ignored and had to wait around for assistance or just be acknowledged.
At Cycle Works, Chris helped me right away. He was super understanding of what I wanted and was able to explain the specific components and differences of each bike. The employees here are available and friendly to all customers in the store. I came back on a busy weekend and the staff remembered me and the bikes I was considering. Nicole was happy to help me out while Chris was working with another client. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed at all to hurry up and make a purchase. They understood it was a huge investment for me. These guys really know their stuff and they are fun!
You don’t get — or even expect –this kind of attention geared toward your shopping experience in any kind of retail store. Chris’ product knowledge is extensive and his passion for the job really shows. This was a difficult decision-​making process — price, color, quality — everything was important to me. He exceeded my expectations by taking an interest in my newfound interest for cycling and I really appreciate his sincerity and expertise. Chris even suggested and special-​ordered custom accessories that really fit my style. When I purchased my bike, we celebrated by taking energy gel shots!

I’ve had my bike for about three months now and the service continues to be excellent when I take my bike in for adjustments and tune-​ups. I know I can trust the staff here to take care of my bike. Overall, Cycle Works has the best selection, most engaged staff, dependable and efficient follow-​up care and an honest-​to-​goodness passion for their profession and commitment to customers. I’m sure you could go to another shop in Lincoln and haggle a bit to get the bike you want at the same price — but you won’t get the time, commitment and service you do at Cycle Works! For me, making a bike purchase was an investment and I know my bike will be taken care of by good people for a lifetime!

You will not friendlier, more genuinely helpful people at ANY type of store. If you know nothing about biking, they’re excited to teach you. If you’re experienced, they know your name & greet you every time you come back. You’ll get honest opinions from the cyclist employees like Butch & Tony. Fair prices, and a good selection. If they don’t have it, they’ll order it for you. In addition to selling bikes & cycling accessories, they have a reputable repair shop in the back. This is who all the local cyclists trust.
