History

Established in 1996.

Having spent many years in the Bahamas, Joy and Hugh Ganter moved to Lighthouse Point FL with a clear idea of the kind of restaurant they wanted: combine the freshest seafood with delicious, mouth-​watering, island inspired recipes and serve in a casual, friendly atmosphere. That was 1976. Today, Joy and Papa Hughie’s Zagat rated restaurant, Papa Hughies Seafood World, still offers the same fresh seafood. Through there wholesale division, Best Stone Crabs, they supply fish, shellfish and signature salads to fine restaurants locally and throughout the Caribbean. Now all that flavor is available to you, delivered fresh overnight from our boats to your table
