Eyebrows by Elena

Elena is an artist. She only does brows and spends a half hour on them. She evened out my asymmetrical brows and even though she plucked them, they look fuller and smoother, which is what I had hoped. First she draws with a white pencil the shape she intends your brows to be and shows you what she wants to do, for your approval. I learned how my brows should be shaped, which is not what I was ending up with when I used to have them waxed. When she was done she even showed me how to apply brow make-​up should I wish to do so.
A great experience and I will go back.

This isn’t your $ 12 wax-​and-​go. This is a half an hour devoted to your brows’ rehabilitation. Your brows will thank you afterwards!
Elena not only groomed my brows, but gave me advice on where to pluck, where not to, and how to trim without butchering. She also took the time to show me how to fill in my brows, and the end result was awesome. My ugly step-​sister brow now had gone through reform school, and is on the way to rehabilitation.

Loved my eyebrows but have never paid $ 50 to get them done.
It was my mistake to not ask Elena her prices beforehand. I have always paid anywhere between $ 12 to $ 20 so I didn’t think it would be SO EXPENSIVE.
Will go here for very special occasions but I am definitely going to find another frow stylist for my regular maintenance

Elena was my first brow stylist, so I didn’t realize what a gem she was until I moved to Washington. I STILL can’t find a stylist that can shape my brows like she did. I guess I have pretty complicated hair growth, because no one can get the right and the left even, but SHE did. My brows always came out FLAWLESS from Elena. She is very very pricey, but like I said, I haven’t found anyone else who can do what she does, so I guess she is correctly priced. If you have easy brow lines that don’t take such talent/​money to maintain, then maybe she isn’t the person for you. But if you have complicated brows, or just don’t know what would be best for your face, and are looking for a professional to help guide you, I highly recommend Elena.

Elena is a talented and skilled expert. Her eyebrow work is the best I have ever experienced. I travel from San Francisco to Boston to have Elena shape my eyebrows. She is an artist who not only shapes the brows but considers and creatively works with the entire structure of the head and face as she expertly shapes the definition of the brows. There is a high level of professionalism in Elena’s work.

I am amazed by Elena’s talent. I have been having my eyebrows waxed for years and am never truly happy. Eyebrow shaping is not waxing. First Elena does a consultation and asks you what you like and don’t like, and what you wish you had. She then takes a white liner and draws what she believes will look great for your face so you can see exactly what shape they will be. She uses a tiny bit of wax if needed. I have lots of blond baby fuzz between eyes and she removed it. Everything else is done with tweezers, and she is a perfectionist. It takes time maybe 35 – 40 minutes total, but it is so worth it. I have one shorter eyebrow, and one has a weird scar and she made them look so perfect. I am thrilled. Unilocal has her listed as very expensive, but I do not think she is at all. I usually pay $ 20 every 2 weeks to get waxed and be unhappy. Elena charges $ 50 and you only need to see her every 4 – 5 weeks, that is a serious bargain for what you are getting, trust me. I will ever go anywhere else again.

Elena is great! I’ve my eyebrows done a number of times in the Boston area and have not been satisfied but Elena really knows her stuff. She took the time to speak with me about my eyebrows and showed me how she was going to shape them before actually doing it which brought me some relief and gave me the confidence I needed to move forward. She did a beautiful job, shaping them so that they accentuated my face while not taking too much off. The morning after I had them done, I woke up, looked in the mirror and was like «Wow! My eyebrows look incredible.»
Elena is very welcoming and sophisticated. She really is an eyebrow artiste and the quality she provides is parallels the eyebrow experts in NYC.
The other great thing about her is her website. She actually has before and after pictures of some of her clients so you can see first hand the caliber of her work.
Her location is a bit obscure but can be accessed via public transportation. I made the mistake of getting off the bus at the wrong stop and had to walk an additional 40 minutes to her place, so a word of caution to you… if you take the ⁶²⁄₇₆ do not get off at the first Marret Road stop, which is Mass Ave not Waltham Road.
I highly recommend Elena and will be returning to her in the future.

I highly recommend Eyebrows by Elena, her results are nothing short of amazing. My right and left eyebrows grow very differently and one even has a scar in it from childhood that causes a gap. I was thoroughly impressed by the polished look she was able to give me. Almost miraculously she gave me perfectly shaped and softened eyebrows and even made the gap from the scar seem to disappear. I have never looked better, thanks to Elena.

I really feel like Elena gave me a mini eye lift. Amazing. She had me grow them out so she could reshape them from scratch. I actually look a little younger. Well worth the investment. I have had people comment on how good I look so I have to give a nod to Elena. ;)

Having moved to the Metrowest area from Manhattan, I didn’t think I’d ever find high-​end services that match those from the beloved salons I’d left behind. Elena does better eyebrow styling than any I’ve had in NY or LA! That is *all* she does, so she knows what she’s doing, there in her mod little studio. (Don’t be put off by the location; her building looks like it would contain only doctors or accountants!) Wherever you are, Metrowest, Boston, or beyond, a trek to Elena’s is worth the trip.
