This little place has a very limited menu to offer — Hot Dogs, Ice Cream, Milk Shakes, Chips, Sodas, & Coffee. There is some limited seating inside, and they have a drive-through which is kind of narrow, getting out is ackward. The weiner here is all beef, is steamed, and comes with mustard & ketchup(meh!), it costs $ 1.35 For 50 cents more, you can add 1 or all of the following toppings: chili, onions, slaw(mayo or vinegar), relish, sauerkraut, pickles, tomato, or jalapeño peppers. Not quite in the way of toppings to make a Chicago dog, way too much for a Southern chili dog. Note on the vinegar based slaw, this is basically the red BBQ slaw so popular in this area, and lots of folks put it on their hot dog — I tried it once — ONCE. I ordered a hot dog with mustard, chili, and onions, and a Diet Pepsi — they only have one size, and that is 20 ounces. The dog was $ 1.85& and the drink $ 1.19. The hot dog was not one I would order again — the chili is thin, weak on flavor, and the onions are close to minced. Different condiments might produce a different result, but frankly, if I wanted a salad, I’d order a salad. Didn’t try their ice cream or milk shake — maybe very good, but if Dog House is part of your name, your hot dog should be much better than the one I tried.
