We had a really nice server. I think her name was Nevada. Our food bowever was not. My husband and I got the 2 for $ 20 deal. He ordered the riblets with fries and I got the three cheese chicken penne. My husband’s riblets were rubbery and had bones all through them. He had a plate piled up with bones he had to pick out. The grilled chicken in my pasta crunched when I bit into it. It tasted like gross old frozen chicken strips. The cheese on the pasta was watery. I don’t know what the deal is with Applebee’s, but every one we go to is terrible.

The server is new but that isn’t the problem. The food came out subpar and took just shy of an hour from time seated to get food. The order was suppose to be a side salad, Napa chicken and portabello mushroom entrée, and a bacon burger. There was absolutely no flavor, even the bacon was flavorless. My wife had the chicken that was bland and over cooked. It came with an onion and pepper medley that was undercooked. They didn’t even check to see if there was onion skin in it. She got the sweet potato fries and luckily they were cooked right. The burger came out with 2 slices of bacon that were so small even broke up wouldn’t cover half the burger. The burger was well done instead of medium like it was asked for. Didn’t send it back because based off the look of the staff aside from the waitress and hostess, I didn’t trust that it would come back safe. The salad was good till I bit some bad pieces of lettuce. I did make the manager aware of the situation but was done and decided to go get food elsewhere.

Applebee’s is a restaurant that I normally like in other cities, but the one here in Lexington is pretty disappointing. The food is the same as any other Applebee’s of course, but the disappointment comes in with the quality of service. The waiters and waitresses are consistently inattentive and some are borderline rude. I try to give a restaurant a few tries before I make a judgement on them since anyone can have an off night, but the service at this restaurant is just not up to par. The last time I went there the waitress brought the check with the meal, who does that? I think the problem is the lack of competition in the area doesn’t motivate the management to stress good customer service.

Best fish I’ve ever had, very good server & very attentive & polite. Manager was very rude, I had ordered an appetizer but realized something else I wanted as she came out with my previously ordered appetizer, asked to exchange it & she got am attitude, raised her voice, then stomped off and rolled her eyes. Other than her bitchiness, I was very pleased.

Insanity, apparently, induced me to give the neighborhood bar and grill yet one more chance, and once again the experience proved typical. This time I ordered a gin and tonic, but the bartender used club soda instead of tonic. When I asked the girl if she had tonic water, she indicated the soda button on the universal spout. When I explained that soda water was in fact something different from tonic water, she and what appeared to be two«good olé boy» regulars argued that I was wrong. I cannot place the blame entirely on the girl behind the bar or the two cognoscenti regulars, however. Instead, I credit this instance of incompetence on Applebee’s absurd policy of promoting wait staff rather than hiring qualified bartenders.

Okay for what it is; just an average restaurant in an almost dead town. Server was very nice and was good at her job.

I’m giving this place more credit than usual, just because people are hating on it for no reason. This is an Applebee’s that’s just like the other thousands across the country that are identical. Just because it isn’t unique doesn’t mean it’s not good. It is the best place to eat dinner and have a few drinks in this part of town. Other that this Applebee’s, there isn’t a good restaurant that has a full bar in this part of town. The others are«family restaurants» or BBQ places with no healthy options and no booze. This Applebee’s is a well-run franchise, the people that work there are friendly, there’s plenty of parking and the food is good. Don’t hate it just because you don’t like the chain.

There are not many non-barbecue choices here so this place is an alternative. That’s about all I can say. Oh yeah, the wait staff is friendly and the drinks are decent. That is all.

We tried this Applebee’s twice. The service was horrible. Got the feeling that management must have hired friends for staff and just didn’t know how to get a lick of work out of them.

Let me start off by saying that for the most part, I like Applebee’s, just not this one. One time the food will be good, the next time you go and order the same thing, it’s hard to tell it’s the same thing. The service is usually pretty bad, even when they aren’t very busy. There have been times a couple of years ago that their sanitation grade had dropped to a B. Mostly, if I want to go to Applebee’s, I go to Chili’s in Winston-Salem instead.

Since our fam is based in Lexington, we wanted a place to spontaneously have drinks on a saturday without having them drive to civilization… and um, next time — we’ll do the drive. The food was pretty ok, and our waitress was nice enough. Unfortunately, she may suffer from ADD because she was great in the beginning — then it was clear that she could not multitask to save her life. We had to beg someone to take our money for the bill so that we could leave. Waitress-pooh was MIA. The drinks were weak(even for applebees), and the bartenders took their job way too serious. They were offended when asked if they carried ciroc or grey goose. The upside is they have karaōke on Saturdays, and they serve until 2am. Even with their ½ price appetizers and cheap, cheap drinks… it was still a miss. I know that Lexington is a smaller town, but they do have stoplights and such… jeez.

I am not a fan of Applebee’s but since I work in Lexington, there really aren’t too many places to go afterwork for a quick drink. I enjoyed the drink specials that they have, but the food can be better. I only ordered salsa and chips, but they want to charge you extra for salsa and they give you this big platter of chips with a small cup of salsa. Our waitress started off great, but as the evening went on, she got caught up talking to some«regular customers» that comes in all the time and her co workers.
