History

Established in 2011.

Melissa Boggs, RN left Lexington Country Place as the house supervisor in 2011 to start Assisting Hands. After years of preparation, we opened our doors in January of 2012 and began serving clients in the Lexington area. Today we serve clients in many areas of Central KY, including Lexington, Richmond, Berea, Nicholasville, Georgetown, Paris, Winchester, Clay City, Frankfort, Shelbyville, Danville, and Northern KY.

Melissa B.

Business Owner

Melissa Boggs is a registered nurse and native of Ketnucky. She grew up in Mt. Sterling, KY and got her nursing degree from Morehead State Univeristy. After spending time in pediatric care at the University of Kentucky and mental health at the Ridge, she turned her focus to long-​term care. Melissa spent numerous years at Lexington Country Place as the house supervisor of their nursing home. Melissa developed a passion for long-​term care and then turned her focus to in-​home care. She is the owner and operator of Assisting Hands of Lexington, where she is able to provide the same care for clients in the privacy of their home environment. Melissa is able to focus on keeping individuals independent in their homes, allowing them to receive the care they need without the need for a long-​term care facility. Melissa ensures all staff treat our clients as members of our own families. She oversees all clients and employees, ensuring the best care possible for each and every client.
