Top Lock Locksmiths and Security is a family owned and operated business with two generations of family members on our staff. We have 7 fully equipped service vehicles ready to provide professional, and affordable locksmith services to you. We offer 24 hour locksmith service

We specialize in automotive locksmith service, residential locksmith service, commercial locksmith service, and emergency locksmith service. If you’ve lost your car keys, we can originate a key from scratch. We specialize in high security, transponder «chip» keys. We can replace smart keys for push to start vehicles. If you move into a new home, rekeying your locks should be a priority. If you’re locked out of your home, our residential locksmiths can help. We provide commercial and industrial locksmith services to schools, churches, airports, and office buildings. We service and install exit devices, door closers, and install buzzer systems. We also install access control systems and CCTV systems. We provide emergency locksmith services in case you need us after normal business hours. Top Lock does not have normal business hours. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, even on weekends and holidays.

Whether you need a camera system installed in your office, or you’re locked out of your car, Top Lock has you covered.

When you call us, you will be quoted a flat rate over the phone. The owners Matt and Stu are always available to talk.

History

Established in 1979.

Stuart has been in the locksmith industry since 1979, 10 years before Matt was born. Matt started going on jobs with his father 15 years ago. Matt knew being a locksmith was what he was going to do, despite receiving his 4 year degree in Psychology.

Starting in a apartment building in Bayside NY, we now have 7 fully equipped vans on the road, providing 24 hour locksmith service to all of Long Island, Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Westchester. We have a brick and mortar store in Levittown.

My name is Matt and I am one of the owners of Top Lock. I have been in the locksmith business for as long as I can remember. My father and partner in the business has been a licensed NYC locksmith since 1979. I have my four year degree in Psychology from SUNY Cortland.

Had an appt to get 4 door locks rekeyed between 12:00 and 2:00 today. Got a call at 1:20 that they were running late and would be here around 3. Not a problem. It is now 6:25 and no calls and no locksmith so I call and the guy that answered starts asking me what I wanted done and what town am I in but never asks my name or anything else even though I told him I’ve been waiting here since 12:00 and he was speaking to me like I was calling for the first time so I told him I want to cancel this request as I’ve been waiting 6+ hrs and this is ridiculous so he hangs up. Four minutes later I get a call from «Vin the locksmith» who asks me if I still want him to come. I told him I just called his office to cancel the appt after waiting 6 hours. He very nicely apologized and said he got busy. Sorry but no way to run a business. I’m busy too and I just wasted an entire day waiting on a no-​show.

Had to leverage them twice.
First one was because a family member locked the keys in the house and we needed to get back in. I stopped by the store around 4PM on a Saturday and the door was unlocked. i walked in rang the bell at the desk and no-​one was there. I walk out and a guy from the establishment next-​door says they’re on a call but here’s his card with the number a coupon for X (I forgot) percent off. I called and within an hour Matt (I think) showed up and did his thing and I was back in my house.
Second time was I needed keys copied. I showed up around 11am on a Saturday and the door to the stored was locked. I then called thirty minutes later. Matt said if I can make it in before 1 when he has on-​site calls. I showed up. Keys were copied and they all worked and I was on my merry way.
Overall, from a service perspective they are skilled, responsive, courteous and professional. Five out of Five. Where I felt the need to unfortunately knock a star off is their information about their in-​store availability. I think just a few small tweaks, notices on the door or scheduling transparency might do them some good. I can only imaging someone stopping by finding the door locked and moving on to the next business.

Ok so I have to say this company exceeded my expectations I am a small business owner and I was in a bit of a jam. I needed to get a new lock for my door. I contacted him through Unilocal and with in less then 30 minutes he replied beat my competitor price wise & finished the job. My situation was a little complicated due to rust & lock issues but the service was phenomenal, the technician was over qualified & was straight up honest with me .
If you are in need for a new lock or are searching for quality service & reasonable reliable people who give you options and not try to kill you with prices I strongly commend this company !!

If you ask them why them, they’ll give you the most elaborate answer you’d never expect, but that’s because they can. They are THAT good. When I first called, I told them I was shopping around and they said they rather work with me than to lose the business altogether. They also said that everywhere else would give you one price, then a service call and they might not even be any good. I have to say, after calling 5 places, they were right. They still had the best price and the best service.
I called the morning of and they were at my house that night. My appointment was for 7PM and they showed up right on time and got everything done before 7:30PM. I was so surprised and so happy with the service I received from Ricky. He knew what he was doing, was very pleasant and patient and most importantly, he got the job done.
I would definitely recommend Top Lock again and highly advise you give them a call and at least talk to them. They’ll definitely change your mind if you’re on the fence.

Wow, I am so glad I called Top Lock! I accidentally locked myself out of my house and entered a state of panic because I am not a negligent person! I called Top Lock, who were incredibly patient, helpful, and accommodating. They provided assistance in a timely manner while calming me down. I am so happy my friend referred me to Top Lock and will definitely recommend them to anyone else in need of a locksmith!

When I moved into my house I called Top Lock Locksmiths for two reasons. One, to rekey the locks on the house and two, to add a lock to the garage door which currently didn’t have a lock. The guy came and rekeyed the two locks and took a look at the garage door and said it would be about $ 420 to put a lock on the garage door and he would have to come back to do that another time.
Problem one: After a few days I thought that I was an idiot who didn’t know how to lock my front door because every time I locked it, the lock would unlock. Without knowing it I was leaving my new house unlocked all day and night for a few days. When I called them up to say there was some sort of problem with the lock they acted like I was an idiot. They even suggested that someone was breaking in and asked if I had anything missing from the house. I assured them that no one broke in but that the lock was broken. They sent someone the next day (a different person than the person who originally came) and after looking at it he said yes, the first person did it wrong so that the bolt wasn’t actually going all the way in so that’s why it wound’t lock. He fixed it and that was that.
Problem two: After thinking about it we decided to add the garage door lock even thought it seemed expensive at $ 420. I called them up and said we were ready to go ahead. They said someone would call me back because they have to come and measure. After a week with no return call, I called them again and got the same story. Again, no call back. This went on for about a month. They continuously told me that someone would come to measure it and no one would call or come. Finally I called them and told them that I’ve been calling for a month and getting the run around. I asked if they didn’t want to do this job or if they couldn’t do it. They said someone would call me back! I told the person if I don’t get a call back that day I am calling another company and leaving a bad review on Unilocal.Needless to say, they never called back.
So then I called another company that was able to do it for $ 190 which is less that half the price they were going to charge me! The other company came and said they can put a simple lock it for $ 190, they came back the next day to complete the job and I now have a lock on my garage door.

Really disappointed with the service we received from Top Lock, especially after reading all these great reviews.
My fiancée and I just bought a new home in Bellmore and we obviously wanted to change the locks when we moved in. After reading good reviews, my fiancée called Top Lock, who said they would be at the house at around noon. When noon came and went with no sign of them, he called to see where they were and was told they were 20 min away. After waiting AN HOUR he called again to see where they were. Again, he was told they were 20min away. He needed to make sure he was on the road to make it to my sister’s wedding rehearsal dinner by a certain time, so he said if they weren’t at the house by 1.30, he was going to just leave. Literally as he was getting in his car to go after waiting an additional 30min, the van showed up. An hour and a half late, despite being 20min away when he first called after they missed their appointment time.
The reason I even give Top Lock 2 stars is because they were able to change the locks quickly and efficiently once they actually showed up, but it was ridiculous to have to wait around while continuously being told they were nearby.

Top lock and locksmith Matt H. was the best locksmith service I have ever experienced. He responded quickly and installed and brand new lock for our apartment in great time. He is friendly and helpful and truly knows what he is doing. Our lock works wonderfully and haven’t had a problem since it was installed. Top lock is the best!

I was having an issue with the locks on my car so I brought it to their shop. These guys are extremely helpful and friendly. More importantly, their prices are fair. They replaced the ignition lock in my car for 1⁄10 of what the dealership quoted me and did it in 20 minutes. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

So, no summer can go without an «I’m locked out of my summer home» story. Yes, I was completely sober and went to walk the dog when my cousin walks out behind me and closes the door not knowing that the bottom lock automatically locks. I found this business on Unilocal and the owner was extremely polite, informative, and helpful. Let me know the price immediately and even knocked some money off when I mentioned his deal on Unilocal that would not have been beneficial to me and the services I needed. He arrived in good time and it took him less than 10 minutes to unlock the door. The best part, he takes cards. If I ever get locked out again when I’m out on Long Island I would definitely use this locksmith again.

Today I was locked in my home. Yep, that’s right… Locked in. So I figured I would look on Unilocal to locate a locksmith. My local locksmith is so over priced I just couldn’t justify using him.
I read the reviews And figured I would call «Toplock» after 9:00am. My husband said try even though it was much earlier. Sure enough I got a real person on the phone, explained my problem, and within 20 minutes he was here.
Matt, the owner came to resolve the problem. No catches, no gimmicks, no sales pitch. He is a very nice, informative, and professional young man.
He did an excellent job and was truly an excellent experience I needed resolved quickly and reasonably priced.
I would totally recommend Toplock to my friends (and I did already) and use him again.

I was locked out of my apartment and called Top Lock solely because I remembered a little piece I saw on MSNBC regarding locksmith. Apparently EVERYONE rips you off and so MSNBC did a little undercover camera operation to see how badly these locksmiths were taking advantage of people that were vulnerable. And true to word, every locksmith that the undercover team called tried to rip the customer off. EXCEPT Top Lock. Only locksmith that provide quick and reliable service (some of the fraudulent locksmith attempted to remove the lock in order to charge more for the service), simply picking the lock in a minute or so and charging the customer the industry set rate.
remembering that, i called Top Lock and was not disappointed. Arrived right when he said he would and simply picked the lock and charged a great price.
