Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

Had an introductory facial with Kerri, she did an amazing job. She read over all the forms i filled out, and listened to why I was there. She did ask if i wanted to upgrade my service but was not pushy about it at all. i felt comfortable saying no which was great. I felt comfortable the entire time i was in the room with her and she was very knowledgeable about how to maintain and achieve the results I want. I purchased the adult clearing skin kit which Kerri suggested to help maintain and achieve and got 10% off which was a nice surprise. I also became a member and got a month-​month package which gives me discounted services! I also booked my next it was very relaxing and i cant wait to go back! Thanks!

My massage was fantastic! In was exactly what I needed after a rough day. The tables were heated. Other places have asked if the temperature of the table was good or not but this place didn’t. Luckily, it was. The massage was 50 minutes long but I definitely could’ve used another 20 or so. My only complaint is that the massage got started about 10 minutes after it was supposed to but she ended it right on time, basically skimping me out of 10 minutes. It was probably an honest mistake, but a little more attention to detail could’ve prevented that. I would definitely go back but if this happens again I wouldn’t.

Facial– Estetician Natalia, was great. Explained everything she did. My face felt AMAZING after.
I do believe the dressing/​undressing is included in the 50 minutes. Experience did seem to go very fast, but that’s always the case.
After– Reception is a little too into suggestive selling more products, booking another appointment, buying a g/​c etc.

Upon arrival at this facility, I felt pretty comfortable. I didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never gone to a chain place. I’ve always gone to small business’s (I’m a big supporter). Remaining open minded I go in with a positive outlook. Hoping this will be the best massage I’ve ever received. Yes!
The girl at the front desk was very chipper and eager to get me in the room since I hadn’t arrived 10 minutes earlier as she requested. Oops! I didn’t even have a chance to fill out the intake form. Which they don’t pay much mind to any who.
She then introduces me to my masseur and she seemed very eager to get started as well. Great! So they take me to a very clean room, smelled nice. Soft meditation music playing in the background.
I Upgraded to «deep tissue» massage so that she wouldn’t have to use the drapes over me as she was massaging. Her hands were very strong, even though she was a young massuer. She did a11 pretty great job feeling around to get the kinks out in my upper back and nape area… She forgot I asked her to concentrate on my tail bone… It seemed like she was extremely uncomfortable touching that part of a woman. So I chose not to remind her. She spent VERY little time on my legs and butt area. Did not touch my feet at all.
So overall I don’t think I’ll go here again unfortunately. The massage cost me 70.00 plus 30.00 tip so for 100.00 bucks? I will try somewhere new next time. I think it’s there overall policy, I don’t think it’s the massuer’s that don’t want to do certain things.

I went to Hand and Stone for a 50 min Swedish Massage. The masseuse Leigh was fantastic I would recommend requesting her by name. During the massage I could tell she was analyzing the condition of my muscles and searching for tight areas and knots. The process was very impressive she approached each portion of my body differently depending on its condition. Her process was unique and the pressure was perfect. I will definitely return.

I’ve been a member for more than 2 years & have never had a bad experience at Hand & Stone Levittown. I travel from Astoria NY, a 45 minute drive at best, so you know it’s worth the trip. My masseuse is the best. Not naming her, because I don’t want her to get so popular that I can’t get an appointment I would definitely recommend this location in the Nassau Mall, slightly east of the Wantaugh Parkway.

My sister treated me to a massage here because I was her maid of honor. Very basic hand and stone. Very nice front desk staff, relaxing, kind therapists. I wish they would have been a little more attentive during massage. There were a few knots that were very obvious that she didn’t pay too much attention to. Just very basic swedish massage. Felt very relaxed after. Would recommend.

This place is not worth your time or money, I called this morning and spoke to Alisa she seem a bit snippy, I should have gone with my gut feeling. I asked her about making an appt, she told me you need to call an hour before an appt ok, so when I called back I told her I wanted to make an appt it was about 12:57, I said I could be there in 20 mins because I saw they take walk ins. But she said no we could do 2pm I said ok but I have to leave by 3pm to pick up my daughter. So Alisa says ok is there anything else I say no, when I get there at 1:45 thinking I may need to fill out some papers. She asks for my name and says you don’t have an appt. I said what do you mean I just spoke to you she said she misunderstood me and just looked at me with a blank face and says sorry, no how can I correct this no sit down let me see what can i do nothing. I asked her are you kidding me I thought it was a bad joke. I asked her can I speak to someone she tells me no one is there, I asked for a refund she tells me she can’t help me with that. She didn’t even tell me the owners name nothing, I was so upset I was truly looking forward to a nice facial that turned into a nightmare, because my husband had given me a gift card. The way I was treated I felt like trash, I called corporate and they said it’s up to the owner to correct this, so in the end no resolution.

I really should have check the Unilocal reviews before I came here. For some reason I didn’t and it was a big mistake. I get massages frequently and like a good wine, you can’t appreciate it unless you’ve had many others to compare it to.
I will not be returning here, ever! Such a unsatisfying experience.
My boyfriend and I went in for 50 minute massage each. They don’t offer one hour deals like other places, & they only do full body (no foot massages). They also DO NOT use hot stones like other places in this massage deal. The therapists are young. Though not lacking in strength, the technique of mine was a little rusty. I had a gentleman who was horrible. He slapped the oil around as if he was marinating a piece of meat. There was no sequence to his hands. When he did apply pressure he used his knuckles deeply over my forearm and did this over bone. I am a 118 pound woman and thin. I like a deep pressure massage, but this was painful and my arm still hurts. I told him a little lighter twice but he did not listen.
For a 50 minute massage, I was on my face too long for my liking. I would’ve like to turn over maybe 10 mins sooner than I did. I can sense the «rush» after I’d turned over.
I also didn’t like how the 50 minutes includes the time you get undressed & the time it takes for you to wipe the oil off yourself before getting dressed. This place is suppose to be upscale, why can’t they do it for you?
The QUALITY & timing of the massage for the price I’m paying is what matters most. The place is clean but so are a lot of other places. I frequent massages at least once a month for 8+ years. I’ve been to many high end spas & low end Chinese massage places all over the world, especially in nassau county where I live.
Believe me when I say, there are many places you can get a longer, better quality massage for half the price you pay here. I even expressed this opinion to the lady at the front desk when checking out and even she agreed with me!!!
Spend your hardworking money elsewhere!

THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTELY FRAUD. The manager Paul says he has no records of me being here but I think I would know if I went here. Why would anyone write a review for a place they’ve never been to??? Just to confirm, this is the only location I’ve been to within the Hand and Stone chain. THIS IS REVIEWING THE LEVITTOWN LOCATION at 3515 Hempstead Turnpike! My appointment was the last week of October, and if I remember correctly, the entire staff was dressed up for Halloween AND YOU PAUL was dressed in a red robe!
This businesses response to my review is the perfect example exemplifying their HORRIFIC customer service. They can’t keep their records straight, even though I filled out four pages of paper work with my name on everything!!!
I have never felt so strongly about the service of a place, but for all my fellow Unilocalers, DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!! Spend your hardworking money for a massage a hundred times better elsewhere!

DONT GO HERE, this place is terrible, terrible, terrible! There are plenty of OTHER places in nassau county to spend your 80 dollars!!! ($ 60 massage + the $ 20 tip they tell you to give). I went here for the first time after reading good Unilocal reviews before me… and to be honest, I wonder how all these people pay this much money for such an ordinary mediocre massage. I thought maybe it was bad luck with the one massage therapist I was assigned, but I was accompanied by three other friends & they too all felt the massages they received were not worth the 60 dollars.
First of all,
1. The massage is supposedly 50 minutes. But they use some of the time you are getting undressed as part of that time. Also, I checked my phone as soon as she was «done», I still had more than 5 minutes!
2. They make you arrive early for paperwork which is a crock of $#%$ because they don’t pay attention to it anyway. So I filled it out, & I still had to wait OVER my appt time because they had a schedule screw up, running late.
3. I’ve been to high end massage places ($ 120) to low end $ 30 – 35 for one hour. The «deep tissue massage» I asked for was beyond weak. It felt like she just running her hands through the motions. Not enough pressure! They tell you to be be vocal about your preference in massage (how hard, how soft), which I did 3 times… and each time she would listen for a few minutes, but she kept forgetting or tiring out. There were multiple points where I felt so uncomfortable. It didn’t even feel like a massage, it just felt like she was petting me with oil.
And yes I am just one reviewer & I thought maybe my masseuse was having a bad day, but the other friends I went with had similar opinions on their people! It put such a damper on the rest of our night.
I will never go back. Place tries to be upscale, but you can go to other spas in the same area, for better massages & almost half the price. I only gave it one star because no stars is not an option.

Each time I have been here, I have had a very well trained and qualified message therapist. And what’s especially great is that with the package offered, I only pay 59.00 plus tip as opposed to 125.00 for an equivalent message elsewhere. I especially like Bryan, he is really nice and strong and extremely well trained and educated on the subject of message. I have had messages at the most high end spas in the world as well as the inexpensive Chinese places in NYC and LA. But basically, I am getting a top quality message for just a little more money than I would at any random Chinese message place and the skill level here is so much higher! For my dollar, this is by far the greatest value to hit the message world. To give a clue for those who are interested, my messages at the Wynn, Spa at Encore, Bliss in NYC and The Four Seasons in Paris, were not any better than what I get from Bryan for ¹⁄₃^rd to half the price! Enjoy, I highly recommend.

I just had a massage by Tina.:)) and I called last minute I was lucky that her 8 canceled so I am so relaxed and feel great.

This place is awesome. The receptionist, Ashley is the sweetest ever, She is so friendly and courteous. Debra was amazing!!! Will be back real soon!

I’ve been here only once but I had a really good massage. The atmosphere was very relaxing from the waiting room to the massage rooms. The people were nice as well. The only downside is that it is in a strip mall with a crazy parking lot.

Sadly I’ve cancelled my membership because I no longer live in the area. I still have one more treatment available to use so I am really looking forward to that. The 50 minute massage goes by so quickly, I think I may treat myself to an 80 minute one for my final massage.
Hand and Stone I will miss our monthly meetings but hope to see you again soon!

Good spa! The place is very clean and decorated very nicely. It’s located in the Kohl’s shopping center so it can be kind of hard to miss, but it’s a great little place.
Everyone was very nice, from the person I spoke to on the phone to the receptionist to my masseuse herself. The intake form was very thorough and detailed, and did well to pay attention to it.
I got a 50 minute massage, which was great. The room was very relaxing and calming and Debra was awesome. Highly recommended!

My husband gave me a gift certificate to Hand and Stone for Mother’s Day. What a great gift! The staff was friendly and courteous, both on the phone and in person (all were, but specifically Paul). The atmosphere is serene and relaxing. They accommodated my schedule so that I could have both a massage (by Jennifer) and facial (by Olivia) back to back. Both women were wonderful and made me feel pampered. They made sure I was comfortable at all times and gave me useful feedback when I asked questions. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely return for more spa treatments, as well as recommend them to other people.

I loved loved loved my experience. I had a Swedish massage and Jennifer was amazing!!! I would most definitely recommend coming here. The staff was great and helpful. I cant wait to go again.

Went to the location in Greenville, SC. Yuma the therapist was excellent for deep tissue.
The ladies at the front desk were very nice and accommodating since I was in South Carolina for a tournament and had to adjust the day and time.
