Can“t figure out how this store stays open. It was a decent store to start with(several years ago) but it’s like the store that the corporate office forgot about. They were never able to find a real manager. I can not recall ever being in this store when at least one shopper did not get pissed off over the checkout time and leave. Today, there were several, so I joined them. Two to three employees were tied up at the register for a woman who tried to put $ 1.59 on a debit card, and it wasn’t accepted. Seriously, over 1.59. I was third in line. She had cash but wanted to use her card. The line filled an entire isle of the store. The gentleman behind me commented to his wife, «I told you we should drive to the Franklin mills store. We would have been home by now» Most folks near by, agreed. If this mighty chain store can’t show the slightest respect for the paying customers time, they should just close the damn store and let someone who wants to earn a living rent the property. It is a prime location! I’ve been slowly switching to Wal-Mart, a few cents more, but I have much better things to do with my time than watch some bad attitude employees argue with a computer. As far as dollar stores, there are a few others in the area. WTF !!!

I generally don’t shop dollar stores. This visit was at the urging of Arlene, who suggested that I stop for aluminum tins for cookies. This Dollar Tree is located in the same shopping complex as my gym. The store was huge, well lit with better-than-average signage and shelves that were stocked to the point of overflowing. To my surprise, I found myself walking up and down the aisles. They had merchandise of all descriptions, all for a buck each. I found the aluminum tins, and the price was unbelievable(only a dollar) compared to the price we pay at the supermarket. When I got home, I commented to Arlene that we’ll have to visit again to purchase common items that we usually buy at the supermarket. She just grinned.

I like this Dollar Tree. For one, it’s HUGE!!! They have a large selection of normal dollar store items. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There Is always a line of customers at the check out. Expect to wait at checkout. The only thing missing, and would make this Dollar Tree a 5 star is a freezer case for frozen items. Most Dollar Tree’s in the city have them. Although this store isn’t in the city, a freezer case would do well here.
