Clearly this guy in «narnia» was in a rush. If you like an old school barbershop experience this is the place to go. If you have less than an hour to be somewhere this is not your place. Waiting for any amount of time is enjoyable cause he has movies on and he already knows you and converses as such. He also remembers your haircut so I don’t have to tell him anymore.

My Husband got a medium fade and shape up from Bob’s son. His hair cut looks great and my Husband was very satisfied. Great hospitality, great service!

If you want a «man’s» haircut this is the place to go. No frills, no appointments, just a lot of guy time, and an excellent barber Bobby Hernandez.

I’ve not had a haircut from Bob’s son but I used to go to Bob all the time before his son worked there and I would always request him as did almost everyone who ever went there young and old. Why? Not only is Bob one of the nicest gents you’ll ever meet in San Diego he gives one of the best haircuts around complete with straight razor shave on the neck on request. He’s old school, charges a fair price and will keep you rolling with jokes in the chair. Keep up on the latest Playboy articles while you wait for the chair. LOL I have been to an untold number of barbers from all over the USA over the years and Bob is one of the best. Too bad I’m so far away from his shop these days or I’d still be going.

Bob’s Barber shop, I have been their customer for about 4 years, I go in at least once a month, and not one time I have been dissatisfied, Bob and Mike arent just nice, they are Cool people, just like the other review says, they are big Charger fans! Bob main clientelle is adult males, he has been cutting hair for over 40 years, so, you guessed it, he gets a lot of seniors, His son Mike on the other hand, specializes on younger peoples favorites, and for what I know, he does a great job because he gets a lot of returning customers. If you havent been there, give em a try, you will like the service. Oh yeah, and dont pay attention to the half blind guy who wrote a review saying Bobs barber sho is hard to find, Bobs barber shop is next to the small car/bike dealer in front of Burger King on North st… how hard is that?

Bobs barber shop is the best, a friend recommend the shop a couple of years ago and I’ve been going there ever since. Mike and his dad Bob are both good barbers, so if your looking for a new barber head to Bob’s shop. Oh and if you have to wait their is always a good movie on.

I have been getting my hair cut from Bob since i was in diapers. I have gone to a few places the 20+ years i have been going to Bob, but i always come back because he has the best haircuts. Bob and his son Mike own run the shop. They both can talk football, and UFC which i like alot! They always have movies on or have showtime or HBO on the HDTV they got. If you want a good cut go here!

Have you considered having your hair cut in Narnia instead? Narnia is only accessible through a wardrobe, in a slightly creepy uncle’s house, for children under a certain age. It’s quite a lot more accessible than Bob’s. First thing you need to know: The road layout where Bob’s is carefully hidden is terrible. Roads veer off in every direction as they try and swerve around the freeway, making any hope of navigation a waste of time to people new to the area. Google, when asked, will put the store in the middle of a traffic island. Going by the number won’t help you either — if you find it on College, you’ll end up at a Mexican restaurant. It turns out Bob’s is actually hidden way off the main strip. The photo’s key. Search for the ghettotastic row of blue roofed stores and you might just get there. Should you manage the impressive feat of finding the store, get ready to turn around and go home. Bob’s, it turns out, is only open for eight minutes, during the winter solstice, during Chinese years of the rat that happen to be divisible by seven. All other convenient times, they tend to be closed. A little less sarcastically, it’s worth noting they’re often closed by 3pm and I don’t recall any of the days going later than 4. So, the unemployed, homeless, or utterly dedicated aside, you’re unlikely to ever actually manage to be there while they feel like cutting hair. Despite being utterly unable to actually get a haircut here, or in Narnia, I’ve given Bob’s three stars. Why? Because they’re not the utterly and in every way awful Supercuts over by Walmart. Being impossible to find and then closed anyway still turns out to be better service than that Supercuts knows how to offer.

These guys are great. It is Bob and his son(Sorry dude, forgot your name). They are huge Charger fans and always have good conversations. But the main reason I went there is no one around town does a straight razor cut, well Bob’s son does, and he does a great one also. They charge $ 12, for the razor cut and I think only $ 8 for a regular cut. This is the ONLY shop I will be going to from now on
