I’m not sure who I detest more, Verizon or Comcast, both are rip off artists and when one needs service they both stink! What is one to do, please tell me if you have a good answer… We just spent three days without a phone, no TV and no Internet, even though my time was well spent at this busy time of the year, it was somewhat frightening not to have my normal communications and entertainment. THREE days! The first of many, many, did I mention many calls was redirected to a representative in California, because all local circuits were busy, then several more to Texas, all of whom said they left a message with the local supervisor for him to contact us and he did, a good day and one half later. Seems most of the block of residential customers and a couple of businesses were out of service due to a truck hitting the pole. Turned out to be a very big job and the bucket trucks were called in and had to re-install new fiber optic lines. Okay still no service and when hubby called using his cell phone(which he takes to work with him, so I am still left with nothing), they claim everything has been fixed and the ticket was turned in as such and argued with him! Seems everyone else got their power back and finally a day and one half later, another white hat knocks on my door, checked our box, climbed back up poles and still had no clue, so he calls in another guy, who climbed the pole after checking our box again and found that when they re-hooked us they left too much of a gap for us to get a signal?! We have been with Verizon for nearly two years and the box that I am paying monthly on still does not work, for my personal TV(the other box works), lazy me for sure, but their only solution is that I disconnect it and mail it back! I cancelled Comcast after years of bad service and I will not stay with Verizon. Not sure what address to use, but this is where I send my money. Listen to this, once our connections are fixed, I find three e-mails from Verizon, one per day listed thank you for contacting us and when you open them they are trying to sell you stuff! I may start watching some reruns of the Flintstones and see what Fred and Wilma used for communication and entertainment. Just so tired of paying these high prices for lousy service. Blood sucking worthless corporate vultures!
