We had an after party here on a Sunday night. It actually took many thoughts to keep reminding ourselves that it was Sunday.
Great place, open spaces, friendly and tolerating bar staff. Nice outdoor patio area.

haven’t been there for anything but breakfast… but it’s my favorite breakfast spot in Leesburg.
It’s inexpensive and delicious. I recommend the corned beef hash and over easy eggs. They also have homemade sausage and a bloody mary bar. Makes me wish I lived in Leesburg; I’d be there for breakfast all the time.
DISCLAIMER: Not sure if they sell breakfast every day or just weekends… I’ve only been on Sunday a couple times.

went here last night for a beer and beef burger and I was very impressed ! nice bartender and sweet girl named lisa… great personality and professional… she served me a cold PBR and a menu… I ordered the build your own burger and it came out just as I ordered… very good… also got homemade cole slaw with that which was real good too… cool divey atmosphere which I like but clean… one side as you walk in is for smokers and the other side for none smoking…(never saw that b4 anywhere)…I would definitely go back and check it out again

Food is ok, they’ve opened for breakfast. Where you need to be careful is when you pay with your credit card. More than once a zero has been added after the number for the tip and you don’t know until after you check your account. Not all the wait staff does it, but since you don’t know until your card if fully charged your screwed. Just recently I had $ 60 added to my $ 30 bill. Not cool!

Oh you were looking for a legit dive bar to drink with cool local people and not just a place to be seen? Check. How about good service from non-​cheesy bartenders? Check. Do you like to play cornhole and drink outside? Got you. Live music?, Bikers? Watch a game? They got all that. In the polished world of Northern VA, this place is nice every so often. To put it another way, if you are the type of person that itemizes a tab ever time you’re out with your friends because you’re afraid of overpaying… this place is NOT for you.
*I love people who review a dive bar and call it gross. Well done. Because it’s a dive bar. They’re not trying to be Mortons.

Awful place. Gross and yucky. :-P I would not recommend this place ever! Smoke filled hell hole. They did have phish on the jukebox which was saweeet.

Basically a local hole in the wall bar which i love! love the corn hole at the outside bar. And the food is so good! Best wings and shrimp in town!

I have been to Spanky’s three times since mid-​December 2014. I live about 35 miles away in Fairfax, VA. I went to a concert in Leesburg in mid-​Dec 2014 and I feel fortunate to have found Spanky’s. I met Joni at the bar and a few regulars that day and had a very positive experience there.
My subsequent visits to Spanky’s have also been quite positive. As I have come to learn now, Spanky’s Shenanigans is apparently a Leesburg «Institution».
I shall stop by Spanky’s any chance I get, especially when a venture to the Leesburg area.

Very good happy hour prices for beer. Decent lunch place. Great service. We used our Unilocal app discount without having to display the actual coupon, as my phone was having trouble accessing the GPS coordinates necessary to check me in. Nice of the waitress to go ahead and trust us on that front.
The veggie burger was good, though the patty was a bit dense. I’m curious if it contains any animal products. Fries and bun were just the right type of comfort food for a place that charges about $ 10 a plate.

There are epic fails, and then there are shit holes. This place is a shit hole, to avoid at all cost. Dirty, disgusting, and horriable servers. You’re better off at the gas station across the street.
Also, keep in mind that the 5 start reviews are probably from the employees to boost the rating.

Started with an order of wings in the danger sauce; they were not only not spicy, they were actually bland. Not to mention soggy.
Thankfully, our burgers were awesome. Just regular for me, All In for my husband. They were fresh and flavorful. Our waiter was also great. Definitely planning to come back.

This place fits the classic definition of a Dive Bar! Typically I will only go here in the summer when they have the back deck open and I can be outside. On those visits I enjoy the place.
The inside is divided into two sections. One side is smoking, the other side is non-​smoking. The inside is very dark and dingy between the paint and décor. It is kind of depressing.
From time to time on weekends they will have a half decent band. It is good if you come with a group of friends who you know.
If I were to rate the inside versus the outside separately, outside would get 4 stars and inside would get a 1 star. I decided to be kind and lean more towards three stars average.
If you’ve ever come to this place in the winter and been inside and did not like it, come back in the summer when you can walk through the building, walk out the back door and enjoy a different experience

Just stopped in for a beer and cigar today, and noticed they are not going to allow cigar smoking after 1 December. Can you believe this, can’t smoke cigars anymore because of all the cigarette smokers are complaining about it. I hope this place goes under because of this.

This place was pretty good. I met my husband in this shopping center because he had just finished working out at the Golds Gym next door. We were starving and I had a craving for steak. I Unilocaled places close by that had steak and this place popped up with a 20% check in offer so we decided to give it a try. When you get to the front door you have a choice to go right (non smoking) or left, (Smoking) the sections are completely separated from each other and partitioned off with glass so there’s no smell on the non smoking side. Our waiter was young and very friendly he brewed us a fresh pot of coffee and was very attentive. We started off with the chicken quesadilla appetizer I think it’s called revenge something? Anyway. it was GREAT. I mean it was so great that we actually ordered another one before we ordered our food. The tortilla was so crisp and just so perfect, the inside was melted cheddar and jack cheese I think… and then the chicken strips… REAL Chicken breast JUICY as all get out and just flavored perfectly… holy cow it was so good i’m thinking about going back right now to get another one. ok so on to dinner… I ordered the flank steak but I asked the waiter if the seasoning was overpowering because the menu says it’s a lemon herb spice and Iwas not feeling lemon seasoning on steak. He said he’d put it in without the seasoning and then told me that he loves the flank steak on a salad, that sounded fantastic co that’s what I ordered with a side of french fries. They forgot my french fries, but they weren’t on the bill at the end and I didn’t say anything. The salad came out with the steak on it but it was cut really weird, like flat and wide instead of strips like you would expect (I posted a photo on here) The flavor was ok, but it was chewy and it was REALLLLLYYYYY greasy, like it had been fried in a pan full of butter. I was kind of expecting something char grilled. I snubbed my nose at it but my husband loved it I am obnoxiously overly picky about greasy food so don’t let this opinion change your mind about trying this place. My husband got the surf and turf (Steak and shrimp) his ribeye was cut thin but cooked perfectly and his steak was fantastic. His shrimp was good and we had a little fork fight over his mashed potatoes they were FREAKING AMAZING. The waiter was polite and timely, thanked us for our business and told us that he hoped we would come back soon. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a good snack or meal. I kind of have the impression that their bar food is out of this world and I just ordered something weird. If you go here, order the chicken quesadilla appetizer. it is probably one of the best ones you’ll ever have.

Very friendly bartender, great build it yourself burgers, was hall lf price. Monday night when we slowed up. Lots of games on tube, a bit smokey, sit on non smokers side if it bothers you.

Great service. Good beer. Good food. Good prices. Husband had chicken parm and said it was delicious. I had the Raider sandwich and it was awesome. We will be back!

A welcoming bar with smoking and non smoking sections (finally, a bar that figured it out that people like to smoke and drink!). Definately a spot that caters to the locals but there is no local snubbery here. Also, they provide a free shuttle to and from the bar after 9 pm which is unprecedented. The prices are good. The atmoshpere could use a slight update but then again its nice to have a bar thats not stepped up (like all other bars) so you don’t ever feel out of place just stopping in. Would recommend to give it a try!

Nice pub style atmosphere w/​plenty of TV’s for ur viewing pleasure! Friendly waitstaff & reasonable prices! Plus they offer free cab rides if ur too tipsy to drive which is such an awesome gesture! I enjoyed a chicken sandwich & fries & it was delicious! Overall great place to chill, drink, eat, & hangout while enjoying a good game!

Killer Dagwood sandwich & onion rings. Great service. Great atmosphere. Clean. Live music. Smoking section separate with windows – see but don’t smell. Not too loud. Flat screens with sports & news. Will be back!

Had dinner and drinks here on a Monday night. The place was packed! I assume that Leesburg, VA doesn’t offer much in the area, or maybe people just really love this place.
The thing about VA is that people still smoke in restaurants but it is divided by a wall. It doesn’t help much with the smell and overall feel of the restaurant but oh well…
The menu was a typical bar-​food selection, I was able to score a veggie wrap and homemade chips which was delightful and fresh. The server kept the beers coming and offered local brew as well as imports.
Spanky’s also offers live music, although not on Monday nights, as can be expected.
The atmosphere is relaxing, other than the smoke, and is an overall chill place to be for late night food and beer.
