I came to do a safety inspection due that I saw these guys had a loudoun award in the wall; so I said let’s give it a try and came early and waited; at the beginning in saw two lanes and didn’t know because there was no sign and I waited; once my turn came the guy told me you are in the wrong lane and look you can’t come here and cut the line to all those other cars ! anyways I don’t mind waiting and If I did wrong I am ok to go to the right lane but the way this person talked was not friendly at all; so nice award in the front but terrible customer service; i am very disappointed. Never going back again.

Richie is awesome. He didn’t charge me an arm and a leg like a dealer tried to do for the work on my car. If you do your homework and get a quote for the work you need you will find out what places try to overcharge and their level of service comes through the interaction.
There should be more people like Richie in this world who tell you the truth and provide excellent customer service. This gas station has provided me consistent customer service across the board and their service shop displays the level of integrity every service shop should aspire to be. Excellent place to get an inspection! Very friendly and quick. Only place I’ve found that doesn’t seem to use the inspection as a scam to get work done. Not only will they not make stuff up to fail you (like some crooked garages), they won’t even give you the long, drawn-​out list of all the stuff you SHOULD do that (surprise, surprise) they’re running a special on this month. :-)

They were very friendly when I came in to buy gas and I purchased gas without issue. When I walked into the garaged section where they do all of the mechanical work I felt the way I often do when I speak with a mechanic; leery. I was speaking with one mechanic and then he referred me to another mechanic; the mechanic who discussed pricing. It felt all wrong once he started talking about taking things apart and figuring out what the problem is. It wouldn’t have felt as wrong had I not just told him the problem (mechanics are always telling me they have to re-​discover the problem that I’ve clearly explained has already been discovered). Luckily, I have a car lift at home and can do the work myself, but obviously I didn’t want to. There was just something unsavory about how the conversation progressed. I was hoping to find a local mechanic, but this interaction didn’t inspire any faith.

Yesterday I called Shell and asked what time they would be open for safety inspections and they said 6am. So I arrive at 5:45am on my day off. I’m first in line, great! At 6:45 I walk inside to ask if the mechanic is going to show up. The attendant tells me «you know as much as I do.» No apologies. Finally, the mechanic saunters in at 7am, gets my car at 7:15am. Doesn’t say hi or sorry for being 75 minutes late to work. Just starts giving me attitude. I’ve been coming here for years to get safety inspections and emissions for both of my vehicles. There used to be a good, prompt mechanic here. Now there’s this guy. Guess it’s time to move on.

Charged my mother $ 300 for a car battery in a 5 year old car. More than $ 120 was a labor charge! Wow, just wow. They totally ripped her off. Shame that that is how they do business there. Shame on them!
