Specialties
The Bay Pony Inn is where informal elegance and warm hospitality come quite naturally.
History
Established in 1988.
The Bay Pony Inn, located in North-Central Montgomery County, was constructed in 1830 as the Lederach Hotel. Area resident/businessman and former White House Cabinet member, Drew Lewis restored several of Lederach’s historic buildings in 1987, among them, the Bay Pony Inn.
The Inn reopened in November of 1988 with four separate and unique dining rooms. The Lederach Room has ket its colonial charm and the Harriman Dining Coach, housed in an actual train car, returns you to stately dining elegance, circa 1890. The Governor’s Compartment hosts private parties to 10. Additionally, the spacious Salford Room, accommodating parties to 125, affords a view of the peaceful Branch Valley countryside.
Innkeepers Eduard and Florence Knechtl and Chef Tom Herter combine their talents to present you with American and international culinary traditions, gracious service, and warm hospitality. Feel the warmth and see the welcoming smiles, promising a truly enjoyable dining experience!
