Tour was fun today :). We had a guide in training and he did a great job. Take out spot is super cute with fire pits and bbq set up. I had a great time and would recommended

We had Matt and a newer guide who was training, working together on our raft. But she did absolutely wonderful. Definitely had a great experience. Everyone is very chill and knowledgable about how to make the experience great. We did the high adventure and I would definitely plan to do it again. It was my our first time ever going white river rafting and it couldn’t of been any better. Thank you Ospery Team!

Lars was an awesome guide! My sister and I got a wild hair to go rafting on our trip in Leavenworth and can’t say enough great things about our trip! So worth it! Glad we got to go on such an EPIC water day:) thanks for a fun and safe adventure

I’m really conflicted about what to rate this company.
Our initial guy who had us do paperwork, life jackets and payment was great. Our shuttle driver was personable. Then we got dropped off, and my husband was left to carry an inflatable kayak down a long (for carrying a kayak), winding, rocky trail to a spot along the river, while I carried tubes and tried to assist our kids along the trail.
My husband and our 5 year old went in the kayak. I went on tubes with my 7 year old. This particular experience is recommended for ages 5 and up. I never would have taken my 7 year out on a tube had I known what was in store.
First, they don’t let you tie tubes together. It’s not easy to do any paddling or steering while hanging on to your child’s tube handle. Second, there’s NO WAY that it’s safe to send a 7 year old off alone on the river, which is what we had to do because the water level was SO low.
My 7 year old is a strong swimmer and loves the water, but had anything bad happened, I would never have been able to reach her in time. What if she’d gotten stuck and I hadn’t and the current carried me away? She’d never been able to free herself! We were out there alone and it wasn’t until the end of our run that we saw 3 other people way behind us.
Lastly, the river was far too low for them to be sending people out. The majority of it was ok but there was one very long stretch where everyone was stuck, and it was hellish. They tell you not to stand up if you get stuck, but to scoot your bum over the rock. Impossible to do so when stuck between multiple rocks that are sticking up a foot or more out of the water. We ended up getting stuck for a long time in multiple places along that stretch. A 90 minute float was more like 3.5 hours.
In order to proceed, I had to shove my sobbing 7 year old off by herself, as I could not hold on to her tube and get us free from the continual places we were stuck. Because of her size, she was unable to free herself. Her hands barely skimmed the water. We then floated separately down thru the end of the rocky part. I was able to catch up to her by jumping off my tube in a shallow rock table top and crawling on my knees to grab her before she went by.
All in all, my biggest complaint is that Osprey should know the conditions. They shouldn’t be sending people out like this. They only warned us about the very end of the run being rocky. That part was a piece of cake. I would do this again, but I’d go when the river is fuller, and with a company that allows people to clip together. I just don’t feel it’s safe for my 7 year old child to be 200 feet away from me and all alone in rushing water.

If I could give this company a zero I would! Highly unorganized! We made tubing reservations and had to wait for almost two hours for the shuttle to take us to the put in spot. Then we had to wait in the blazing hot sun for another 45 minutes while we waited for tubes. During the wait, one of the shuttle drivers was smoking pot. Glad he wasn’t driving me and my kids!

The river is low so we switched to kayaks and SUP’s past the rapids. Great time, both kids, 11 and 13, jumped off a large Boulder into the river. Lelani our guide was awesome! Would definitely do this again! Great company and customer service.

Went with my in-​laws, husband and small daughter. We had a fine time and the guides handled things with humor and calm demeanor. My husband and I stuck our kayak on the rocks and lost a paddle trying to get out — another rider and a guide went back up to rescue it from a gnarly little rock outcrop. We were kind of embarrassed to have lost the paddle but the staff maintained a sense of humor about everything (even when one had to help my fat ass stand up on a slippery rock)

We inner tubed the river yesterday on a 3pm (3:30pm in reality) shuttle. And it would have been a blast had it not been completely ruined by the unprofessional and rude staff. First of all, I wish we had been informed more about basic safety. I got flipped over on my first rapids and lost my hat which should have been tied up securely as I found out afterwards by simply googling «inner tubing safety». But the staff didn’t mention that. I also wish I had my shoes on, because after I was flipped over I was trying to get back on my tube fighting the current hitting and scratching my feet on the rocks. After I failed to pull myself on top of the tube back, being dragged by the current, I knew I HAD to pull myself on the tube. Mind it that I am 115lbs and quite athletic. Luckily there were other tubers around at that time and two of them helped me out. But even so we would have still had positive emotions in the end had it not been completely ruined by a girl who worked there at the station. While waiting for our shuttle (for 45 mins instead of scheduled 15), we were wondering where to put our stuff, and there was a bucket right next to where everybody was waiting filled with shoes and such. We put our stuff in there right in front of that employee’s eyes assuming this is where we can leave it. We had no idea at the time that it was for people who were rafting, although that employee saw us putting our belongings in there and said nothing! After our ride we asked where can we get our stuff back and she said it was taken back to the office in the city! After arriving to the office in the city and talking to the people there for 10 mins who had no idea what was going on (!!!) we were offered to wait and then if not still found, come back to the station. But we didn’t have time to wait and drive around pointlessly looking for our belongings at this point. So we came back ourselves to the station and checked around and our stuff was on the table! To which the girl replied: «I didn’t tell you to put your stuff in the bucket» (um, but you saw us doing that) — «you know what? I don’t care, because it is my last 2 days here!»
I feel sorry for the next employer and future customers who would have to deal with that person at her next job.

We just had so much fun rafting. Susan was so helpful and friendly along with all the guides.

I purchased a Groupon for a group of 4 people to do the level III white water rapids, and made a reservation via the website one week in advance. I received a confirmation email and phone call that my reservation was in place.
Today, I received a phone call saying that my reservation was cancelled (although they charged me the tax fee online and already collected that through my credit card). My reservation was cancelled because Osprey decided that they were going to boot all the groupon/​livingsocial voucher holders and were not going to accept any more groupons/​livingsocial vouchers on weekends. They told me to contact Groupon for a refund, and then hung up. I’d recommend not using Osprey since they cancel your reservations, even when you make them in advance :(Now, I have to contact Groupon for a refund, and I’ve lost out on the money that I already paid Osprey (they collected a tax fee online).
Horrible experience.

Our group of 10 guys had a wonderful time. Rented inflatable kayaks for the river. Henry and his wife were SUPER helpful and patient with us. Will be back!

Amazing company! Amazing employees! Amazing and unforgettable memories! My hubby and I did the high adventure tour! It was so fun and thrilling! Our guide (Adam) was very knowledgable and didn’t make me nervous at all. Even when the rapids were scary he was calm and guided us very well! The company is worth the price jump from the others in town! They did do pictures which we regrettably didn’t check out. The only thing I have to complain about (which has nothing to do with the experience) is the food they had at the end! Wasn’t that great but honestly that didn’t hinder the experience at all! They provide wetsuit, shoes, life jacket! You can even leave your beer with them to pick up at the barbecue! Will definitely be coming back and using their company again! Thank you Adam for being an entertaining and awesome guide!

took the 4 hour rafting tour on a sunday afternoon. they provided the wet suit, shoes, life jackets. We were in all 8 people going in 2 rafts, got all geared up in the store front yard & took short walk by the freeway to the river bank. After we all took positions in the raft. within 5mins the rapid was there & it was a big one. There were few more rapids. In between our instructor would give turns to let one person sit on the front arch of the raft. that was a good experience when going down a rapid & the water all splashing head on. All thru the rafting there was another guy taking pictures from the river banks. got some really beautiful clicks. had to pay $ 50 to get all pics sent via a download link. overall a good experience & value for the money. definitely recommended.

SO MUCH FUN. We did a short run of HI-​A in the afternoon. The guides were super friendly, informative and encouraging. Got to ride the bull on a section of rapids which made it even more of a great experience. If you’re looking for a guiding company in Leavenworth definitely go with Osprey!

Great customer service. Great equipment I recommend anyone who is going skiing to use this place.

This was my family’s third river tubing experience in Leavenworth, the two others being at Leavenworth Outdoor Center. We found we prefer the Leavenworth Outdoor Center over Osprey for a couple of reasons.
The folks at both outfits are friendly and pleasant but the facilities at LOC are more pleasant and professional. The folks there are more forthcoming with information and let you know what’s happening. After rafting there is a spot with two hoses so that you can wash off the dirt and sand from the beach and surroundings, which is definitely needed.
Osprey is operating low-​budget, after signing in you are told you have to wait, but not where or how long. You just hang out until someone indicates to the group to come over and get the life jackets.
Neither outfit seems to have facilities to change clothes in, so out-​of-​towners (we drove over from Seattle) have to change in the car or find another way to get out of the wet clothes if you have other plans for the rest of the day. The parking lot is gravel, which is an added inconvenience (wet feed and dirt!). LOC is paved at the point of departure and where you can spray off your feet.
At LOC you have to leave some sort of deposit (car key, driver’s license or such) and this is secured behind the window and you get it back by giving them your name at the end when you check out. At Osprey there is a cardboard box on the table, available to anyone who wants to grab a key, no names, no questions asked. If you only have an electronic key device, you don’t want take it with you while tubing, but it would be nice if you knew your key is secure.
LOC gives each tuber two paddles (frisbees) which are very, very handy to have. Osprey has nada, so you are left to your own devices to navigate, which will generally work, but does take more effort. For kids, it is definitely an advantage to have some sort of paddle to help them go in the direction they want.
I learned the first time out, that bringing a couple of small carabiners and bungee cords to tie a couple of tubes together was a huge help. At LOC there are hooks attached to the tubes, which helps, but bringing the extra equipment really helped. I pushed the small carabiner through the looped end of the bungee cord and didn’t have to worry about it coming loose. Osprey did give us plastic carabiners, but they are inexpensive and not very durable to hook up the handles or the metal rings attached to the tubes.
About booking: make sure you book a couple of days in advance, as it can happen that you won’t get the time slot you want if you wait until the night before.
All-​in-​all we had fun with both outfits. They provide transportation from their point-​of-​business to the river (and Osprey provides transportation back. At LOC you just walk up the hill and you are back to where you can wash off and get your car key and as an added advantage is in the middle of Leavenworth.). I think that there are a lot of things that could be done better that would add to the convenience of their customers.

Went with a large group from work, I think we had around 50 or so people and I had the BEST time. It was my first rafting experience, and these guys make it memorable.
They set you up with all the gear, show you how to paddle the right way and all that other safety stuff so pretty much your job is to just have the time of your life.
All of the guides are super charismatic and fun. Brian was awesome and had a lot of good stories and some bad, but entertaining jokes :) I think the guides tend to the feel of the group, one group was doing front flips and playing games off their raft in the slower waters whereas others were more laid back.
We all met up and they had a bbq for us afterwards in a private area by the river which was also fun. They bring all your backpacks and coolers so that you can change right when you get back (and drink a cold one). They provide all the food, water, and lemonade too.
Overall, awesome experience that I would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be returning in May for higher rapids!

I have gone on 3 trips with Osprey over the last few years and have had a blast each time. Some previous reviewers have mentioned disorganization, but I think that comes from the nature of the rafting business. Ive worked for and been a client on many other raft companies and it is pretty standard to have a certain level of «chaos» due to last-​minute additions, beginner rafters who need special attention, and changing weather conditions.
The guides here are great at what they do and the High Adventure run has some really great rapids. They definitely deliver the «white water experience», much more than other places in the country that leave you thinking «was that safety talk really necessary?». That being said they also offer tamer trips for all ages.
A great offering (new) is their Happy Hour run, 5 — 7 pm that includes a beer at Icicle Brewing. A PERFECT way to turn any vacation day into a multisport adventure.

I rafted with Osprey as part of a work offsite and the staff was phenomenal. This is a laid back, fun experience, so you need to go into it with that mindset. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They took proper safety precautions and made the trip fun and memorable. Leave any email checking, uptight city attitudes (I can fall prey to this!) west of the mountains, smile and just have fun!

I was a little bit worried due to some of the less than stellar reviews regarding the lack of organization but we didn’t have a problem at all. Originally, 8 of us were supposed to go rafting but 6 got too lazy so it was just the bf and me.
Our guide, Garrett, was friendly and helpful. There were 5 people in our raft and we got wetter than I expected for so late in the season. After a while, we switched to inflatable kayaks and drifted down river. It’s a good thing they had double kayaks so I didn’t have to try very hard. The whole thing was about 4 hours, which was plenty of time for me. It couldn’t have been a more perfect outing on the river.
