Melanie I.
Business Owner
As a Licensed Acupuncturist, researcher and writer in the field of natural nutrition and dietary therapy, I practice with a bias toward finding natural solutions to chronic and acute conditions. Whereas conventional medicine focuses on suppressing symptoms, treatments in my office focus on eliminating symptoms by determining and addressing the underlying cause of a condition.
My practice philosophy centers around the recognition that the body is an interconnected whole, and emphasizes the importance of these connections in treating disease and restoring health. I also focus on guiding and encouraging my patients with a «teach a man to fish» philosophy that and I feel is a critical missing piece in the modern healthcare system. I believe in empowering my patients by dispelling common health myths and teaching them what’s really going on with their own bodies, so that as informed people, they can take an active participation in their own healing process.
