This is a great place. Very efficient and friendly. Not too expensive. And not too fancy. They did an excellent diagnostic on my 1996 Honda ($ 90 only) and have done some quick repairs on another car. I recommend them!

This is the worse place. I’ve been going there for a while to have my interlock serviced and to have all other work done on my car including tires, alignment, oil change, and battery. I went there because of convenience and my choice were limited with regard to my interlock. Generally they are slow even if you have an appointment and are waiting there for you car. Also their prices are on the expensive side. With regard to the interlock service they tell you something different every week with regard to why they may or may not be able to change your appointment to accommodate your work schedule. The front desk help is not knowledgeable about cars in general and provides inconsistent information regarding the interlock. When you try to get a correct or consistent answer she is rude and dismissive. I would never step foot in the place again.

Couldn’t be happier. I used Jimmy because of the Unilocal reviews and I won’t go anywhere else in the area. Honest and trustworthy mechanics are hard to find, but I don’t hesitate to recommend McFadden’s to friends and family. (Side note, try the dry cleaners next door too)

These guys are excellent. Family run/​operated shop — excellent communication. All the staff, from the reception desk, to the experts working on the vehicles were top notch. I had to go in for some brake work — they charged a very honest labor rate, and did the job right. I had been prepared to get additional work done, but they told me honestly what was and what wasn’t needed — that goes a LONG way in getting my repeat business. I had two of my kids with me, and they were so accommodating — even putting on some cartoons for the kids via Netflix on the TV. Also, the coffee is solid for a pick me up in the morning. I’ll definitely be coming back!

UPDATE: I just received a letter from James at McFadden’s explaining what transpired (clearing up several misunderstandings), and payment for a new glove box. I very much appreciate him taking the time to do this. As I said in my earlier review, we had been taking cars there for many years and I was sad that I didn’t feel like we could trust this shop any longer. I was wrong. I did not have all the facts and I apologize for my first review. You’ve just earned my trust back. Thank you James.

I visited here based on the previous Unilocal reviews, and I’m seriously glad I did. I wish I had known about MSC when I first had trouble with my car running hot. I probably would’ve saved a lot of money, but oh well. The price for all the crap that was wrong with my car was actually substantially lower than my budget, so I’m grateful for that. The receptionist was very friendly. Actually, all the folks who walked in and out from the garage were very friendly. There isn’t much I can say about this place except that I’ll be back for the next round of work. I dropped my car off in the morning, and it was ready by lunch time (I work about a quarter-​mile from it.). Honest folks who don’t want to rip you off. I appreciate that.

This is honestly the BEST auto shop I have ever visited. I went in thinking I needed new rotors, and was totally prepared to have to pay at least the diagnostic fee. About 15 minutes after dropping off the car the mechanic (who I assume is the owner) came out and said there was nothing wrong – it was just a rust spot on the rotor from my car sitting for a week while I was on vacation! He said he couldn’t in good confidence charge me for anything since there was nothing to be fixed. That alone made me trust them immensely, and plan on returning for any service my car needs from now on!

Totally love this shop! Everything is top notch and honest! And as a woman, that means a lot! I have been taking my vehicles to McFadden’s since 2003 and this is the only mechanic that I feel comfortable going to. I know that if James tells me something about my vehicle, he is 100 percent honest about it! This is a very reliable and dependable shop and I highly recommend them!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long while now. I’ve been using McFadden’s for a couple years now. It’s every man’s dream to find an auto repair shop that they can trust and return to over and over again. McFaddens is that shop. James is top notch… I call him my superhero, he lays it all out there for you, he’s honest, and he gives you a heads up on repairs that need to be done in the future. There’s no padding the bill, you pay for the service they provide, nothing more. They treat me like I have been coming there for 10 years. I have to drive at least 45 minutes each way, but I refuse to try to find a closer place. Both my cars are Luxary Imports and James keeps them on the road.

These guys are top notch and honest to boot! McFadden’s is a trusted partner to keep me and my family safe on the road. I met James after I had a flat tire nearby during a snowstorm. He fixed my tire at no charge, and I decided to give him a try the next time I needed car service. That was many years ago, and now I will go nowhere else. It was only after I made McFadden’s my auto shop that I dscovered many of my friends are customers too.
The staff are courteous and kind, and they really know their stuff. They will go out of their way to make sure everything is fixed, and they will alert me to items that may need fixing down the road, so I can plan for maintenance. Thanks to them, my 2000 Subaru Outback is going strong after nearly 200K miles!
