Tropicaire Resort

WOW… here I go again. Let’s begin by saying why I’m giving this place 4 stars — first of all the staff went all out to make things happen (BIG, Star 1) second, you were allowed to bring alcohol by the pool (BIG, Star 2) third, the location 2 blocks from the beach (Star 3) and finally (BIG, Star 4) clean rooms.
Now, there is a bit of a sad face on my part — the bed in room #107 felt like you were sleeping in the middle of a taco shell — it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on — it will surely give you lower back problems (have fun climbing out of the taco shell lol lol). The blinds in the room face the bathroom so, as your walking out naked someone can easily stand outside (in the dark) and see you (fix the blinds) And finally, I believe the price could’ve been a bit less but being that it was last minute «I was cool».
The main question is will I stay there again, probably not — unless it’s last minute.

My son and I extended our trip to stay 10 days over the Easter Holiday, simply because this property was so very wonderful. I am delighted to have discovered this gem and am blown away by all the amazing improvements the new owners have made. The Tropicaire is truly a resort, offering a splendid getaway from it all. The location is absolutely perfect, close enough to walk to everything and far enough off the beaten path to offer a quiet and peaceful escape. The beach is an easy walk (only 2 blocks) and felt almost private, even over the Easter Weekend, surrounded by congestion on either side but amazingly unpopulated right there… Everything on the property is immaculately clean and so lovingly cared for, it truly is hard to leave. The beds and linens are divine, I slept better than I have in years. There is someone on property always and everyone is so very friendly, accommodating and just simply wonderful. I’m reluctant to share this experience knowing that soon it will be impossible to get a room but I know first hand how hard it is to find a clean, safe, friendly, restful place to stay around Lauderdale By The Sea… Thank you Lars and Henriette for creating such a fantastic space!
