Poor service experience times 10. It’s happened multiple times before so not sure why I thought today would be different. Came in today for an inspection and maintenance alignment. Told it’d be an hour and a half. I know, sounds ridiculous. Would you believe it’s now over 2 hours and it’s still not done??? As I stated, this is not the first time it’s happened.

Brought my wife’s Honda there in 2013 sales staff, Wendy was pleasant and straight forward my wife was very pleased as well as finance manager when we told him all we wanted extra was extended warranty we didn’t get any high pressure sales pitch. Show room is nice plenty of chairs the showroom is where you wait for service also. If I have one complaint it shouldn’t take 75 minutes for a oil change the service staff are pleasant and not pushy but 75 mins is a bit to long.

I go into keeler ready to purchase a used vehicle, we found the perfect vehicle but they were unable to offer financing due to my credit situation. I go and secure my own financing and go back, we agree on a purchase price of the car, I give them all the paperwork necessary over the weekend and I leave it be thinking on monday,
I’m going to go pick up my car. I get a phone call on monday saying my loan did not go through. I call my loan company to ask; what is happening… The loan company says no one even called them! Keeler blatantly did not even bother calling my loan company, but they did run my credit multiple times, nor did they even have the courtesy to call me to say «we refuse to sell you the car». I come to find out they SOLD THE CAR BEHIND MY BACK and never told me, never called me, nothing, extremely dissatisfied with service and negligence here. Lack of honesty and absolutely no commitment to customer.
They would rather make money from someone who’s willing to pay more than accept your business. BEWARE.
*For buyers with less than ideal credit*, don’t even bother with this place, they’re not looking to sell you a car at a good deal; they’re looking to make the most money off you.

We visited the store and negotiated a price on March 20, 2015. The next day, we called in advance to make sure the store still keeps the price for the vehicle we were interested in. When we drove all the way to Keeler and ready to buy the car, the manager said he would not offer the price. The store manager was rude and did not have any integrity. It only makes me wondering what their service would be if I bought the car there. I am glad that I didnt make any purchase there, and will never ever visit this store. There are so many Honda dealer in the nearby area, I am surprised this store hired such a terrible manager to harm the reputation of this store.
Although Scott, the sale person was a good man. He went above and beyond to present the car to us and to get us a reasonable offer. He had over 20 years of experience and known the stuff he was talking about. I am just feel sorry that such a good person is in a terrible hand. If Scott is in another dealer, we probably would have made a deal. What a pity.

I am leaving one star, but this is actually a mixed review.
A few months ago, I brought a friend who was new to car buying to Keeler to test drive a pre-​owned CRV. We had been to two other dealerships and none of them treated her seriously or respectfully, despite her being fully qualified, holding a loan check in her hand and ready to make a deal on that day. Paul helped her. He quickly narrowed in on what she should look at by asking her questions. She test drove one and bought it. They gave her an excellent deal and treated her wonderfully.
I had been in the market to move into a larger car for my family. I was looking seriously at the Toyota Highlander, but thought I should compare to the Honda Pilot. I was prepared to change my mind. I went to Keeler and asked for Paul, but he was helped several other customers. I was directed to a young man whose name I have now forgotten (didn’t even take his card). I told him I wanted to test drive a pre-​owned Pilot and he told me I would be lucky if I found one (?) When I told him where I wanted to keep my payment he pushed the lease option. I explained that I would be going over my mile allowance, but would consider it since I usually switch cars every 3 years.
The features on the new Pilot lag behind the new Highlanders considerably. He told me that in order to get things that are standard on the Highlander, I would have to upgrade on the Pilot and that this would put it out of my desired price range. He asked if I had a trade and I said I wasn’t sure, but we could look at numbers both ways. BTW, we hadn’t test driven or even LOOKED at anything yet and he was already getting deep into numbers. He asked for my key to look at my VIN and odometer and went to look at my car. He came back with a lowball trade offer and advised me to sell independently and come back in a year. In a week, I said, I will have a new car, and this isn’t going to work for me. He did not even attempt to get creative or work on the numbers or let me test drive the car. I walked out feeling like I had wasted an hour of my time and knew nothing more, other than that I don’t want to work with Keeler.
When I got outside with my teenager and baby in carseat, I couldn’t find my car. He had driven my car without my permission and moved it, without telling me! Very annoyed. I will not recommend Keeler ever again!
PS: I got EXACTLY what I wanted in the Highlander with an excellent trade on my Subaru at Northway Toyota. I was treated very respectfully each of the 2 times I went and was treated to a long, serious test drive. I pick it up on Thursday.

I had to take my wife’s ’03 Element in for an oil change/​repair when it started leaking oil all over the driveway. Turns out that the oil change she had done at a local Midas was botched. They forced the oil filter and cross-​threaded it, cracking the seal and creating a slow leak.
The staff at Keeler Honda flushed the oil system, replaced the filter and put in the right oil in quick order (I was in & out in less then 20 minutes).
I bought my ’12 Pilot for Keeler, and it has been hassle-​free from Day 1. I would highly recommend buying or leasing your next car from them!

Review for service department only; I’ve been systematically going to area Honda dealers for my routine maintenance and Keeler’s turn came up when I had to get both an oil change and a recall-​based upgrade of the car’s firmware. It’s pleasant and clean, although the waiting area is a bit out of the way from the service center and open to the elements of the car show room, and unlike Mohawk Honda doesn’t have iPads and Wifi to bemuse one. The service took too long; it’s not that I object to waiting for two different tasks to be done, it’s that when I get a time estimate for something as predictable as an oil change plus a software upgrade that’s utterly straightforward, for which I’ve made an appointment, I don’t expect them to be an hour off in the wrong direction. Time is money, as they say. Mandatory deductions for blowing that end of things.
So I’d rate them minimally acceptable thus far and I’ll keep them in the rotation (four more dealers in front of them though) until I find the magic dealership while the Honda’s still under warranty.

Terrible. Awful customer service. Went on for a test drive and to review options. The salesman was trying to deal with another set of customers at the same time. He left us at his «desk» several times without explanation or apology. At one point I really was just going to get up and leave. It seemed like once I mentioned that I might lease he lost all interest… Also very spazy with numbers and didn’t really seem to know what he was doing. The salesman we dealt with was Gary.

We have been long-​time customers of Keeler Honda. We have bought four Hondas (3 Accords and a Pilot) from them over the course of 23 years, plus our son bought a Civic from them and it is still running with over 200,000 miles on it. Our most recent experience with the Keeler service department was for a recall on our 2004 Honda Pilot for the ignition switch. (Recall was for the possibility that ignition key could be pulled out even when vehicle not in park, but our vehicle did not exhibit that problem.) Anyway, just as we were ready to take it in for the recall, the ignition switch developed the opposite problem — we could not get the key out of the ignition. Anyway, even though the «key stuck in the ignition» was not part of the recall, Keeler covered it. NO charge to us to replace the entire igniton lock with a new key as well. Needless to say we were very pleased. We have also found that when shopping around for new Hondas, Keeler has the best price in the Capital District area, bar none. Their sales staff is very professional and do not push extra items if we say we are not interested. They went out of their way in 2009 to find a particular hard-​to-​find 2009 Accord for us in the trim line and color that we wanted. (V6 but with cloth seats). Anyway, to sum up: we have been very pleased with Keeler Honda for many years!

Had to get an oil change for my car. The service advisor stated that he will do a tire rotation as well, and he made me sign the electronic keypad he had with him.
Sure enough when it was time to pay, it was twice as expensive as I had anticipated, and he said the extra charge was right next to the area I signed (which he never detailed or even showed me).
Just be aware of the upsell tactics of this dealership’s service department, and the fact that sneakily tack on other service items without telling you the upsell costs. As for me, I will never do business with this dealership again. This is the worst service experience in my 20+ years of owning several Hondas. Beware!
