The Gramercy

A great concept with wonderful amenities. The exterior décor and over all staff make you feel confortable but the hallways n elevators give you the dorm room feel.

The Gramercy looks nice and has nice appeal and potential. BUT, upon living here with my best friend we’ve found that it’s possibly one the most expensive yet worst places to live. Management is rude and good for nothing. After filing several complaints, nothing was done about loud neighbors. Fire alarm constantly going off with no explanation. «Security» gate is constantly broken and being left open to allow riff raff in. For the amount it costs to live here, one would expect more. It looks nice and has amazing potential. But now I don’t even care to stick around to see what it could be, if it ever does become anything. I would recommend other options if you’re seeking to call this place «home». A hostel would be better in my opinion.

The only reason I wrote my original review is because one of the front office workers, Phillip, begged me to. Offered to swap reviews for the company I worked for (that operated out of the building in a super unprofessional manner).
Mere hours after asking me for the review, he proceeded to verbally slam me, telling me I wasn’t s**t and said that he didn’t understand why I’d been hired. Mind you, he and I did not work for the same company. He put his nose where it didn’t belong and made a joke of his professional demeanor.
The apartments themselves are nice. Staff is great, except for Phillip.

The Gramercy is a great place to live and call home. While it is not without its hiccups, having been opened only a few months, I have found it to be everything it was advertised.
The apartments are diverse in their design, as are the tenets. My neighbors come from many walks of life, and I have found them all to be enjoyable. I especially enjoy meeting them at the pool, the barbecue pit, and community events such as Wine Down Wednesdays. I’ve lived in many different apartment communities, and this is by far my favorite so far. I rarely hear noises fro my neighbors, which is partly due to the strong construction of the unit, but also because they seem to be decent people who aren’t obnoxious. THANK YOU! :) I’m sure in time, they will do something that is annoying (leave the trash by the chute, leave the complimentary mini shopping carts that are great for groceries from your car in the elevator, or not pick up after themselves in the common areas, have loud adult relations), but I’m certain I’ll be free from the horror stories of other places. :)
The rent is certainly on the higher end — it’s not bargain living; but it’s not suppose to be! The floor plans are spacious, and the balconies in each unit are amazing. One of my favorite features is the view I have. Breakfast with the sunrise, and dinner with the sunset, are staples of my day. The amenities are pretty cool; the pool is small, but relaxing — my friends think its the best around; the pig that lives in the pool (a statue) is certainly a conversation starter. There is a movie screen with a fire pit along with several gas grills. There’s an indoor lounge area or residents as well. When you live here, you get complimentary membership to Raw Fitness. While you can’t attend the classes, the gym area is superior to that at many other apartment complexes, so this is a nice benefit.
There has been some recent crime in the area (all of Las Vegas, really), but I am happy to report that I feel safe here. There is ample security in the evenings on the apartment complex but also on the accompanying business/​retail/​restaurant space. It feels nice to walk back on evenings from the gym (Raw Fitness) and Pinches Tacos. Underground parking is good, but be certain you know how many spaces you are getting with your unit. Many come with only one. The set-​up of this community provides lots of eyes on everything, so I feel safe.
I have had the pleasure of working with Phillip, who is a community manager. He is very personable and had us sold on the whole experience after his tour. He continues to be very pleasant to work with now that we live here; if there is a question I have about the apartment or the community, he is always friendly, timely, an professional in his response. He also hosts many of the community events such as Wine Down Wednesday and Resident Appreciation Breakfast – and I always have a blast at these.
No apartment living in my experience can be perfect, but  I can say after living at the Gramercy for one month, that things are pretty good!

Update: tried to talk to office manager and was dismissed. I contacted Northcap and so far we have set up a meeting. BUT I write this as we sit in our unit with NO gas, no hot water, and no information. 8 Southwest Gas trucks are here searching for a major leak and we have received NO WORD from management and the office manager is NO WHERE to be found!

Hands down winedown Wednesdays is the Best!!! Need to have once a week.

This place is awful. Way overpriced and you get Nothing for your money. Management is not accommodating and on top of it disrespectful and rude. There isn’t ample security and I had a guy follow me home and sit on my patio trying to look in my place when I lived on the first floor. I am a single girl and do not feel safe at all here. So I moved up to a higher floor and have 2 bedrooms and they won’t even give me 2 parking spots. So either way I HAVE TO PARK OUTSIDE? Where it is unsafe. The building isn’t even halfway full of tenants and I still can’t use an empty spot until someone moves in management said. Why would u make a building without enough parking for your tenants? I offered to buy another spot and they told me there are no more for sale… but the offered me to upgrade to a 3 bedroom paying 3000 $ to get another parking spot? Wow. I refuse to pay more money then what I’m paying now as I already feel it is highly overpriced and so They told me to park on the street. As a business owner I am a single girl coming home late at night and I don’t feel safe and have to walk up a ramp and across the apartment complex just to get up to my apartment takes 5 minutes. When I first moved in I had cold water for a month. I called Maintenance 3 times to fix it and they kept saying it was fixed when it wasn’t. I literally took cold showers and was paying $ 1800 to live here. The door knob fell off of my door after 1 week of living here and I had to call them to fix that as well. The AC doesn’t work in the master bedroom either. It was so hot in the Summertime I had to get ready in my roommates bathroom bc I was sweating and they said they fixed that and it still doesn’t work to this day. The master bedroom is always hot even in Winter I’m sweating so I have to keep the window open. They also told me the gym would open October 15^th and it didn’t open until End of January. And I cancelled my gym membership in October bc that’s when it was supposed to open but it never did. On top of all of this there way a Fire here bc someone threw a lit cigarette down the trash shoot. And no one knocked on my door to tell me what was going on… I thought it was a false alarm and then I started smelling smoke and grabbed my dog and ran downstairs. This place is unsafe and poorly ran. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY !! STAY AWAY FROM THE GRAMERCY DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY. YOU WILL BE SO MISERABLE LIKE I AM. I AM COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS UNTIL MY LEASE IS UP. When I tried to express that I wanted to break my lease with only 3 months left bc I was so unhappy with everything they wanted $ 6000 from me. Lol this place is a joke.

The Gramercy is like the new release of windows-​it looks good but nothing works. The building management are very nice people, but that does not make up for the continuing problems.
If you look here and like it– DO NOT SIGN a years lease; you will want to move after a few months.

Our daughter is starting a job in Vegas in the fall. We were there for a visit and thought we’d go by The Gramercy just to take a look. Phillip was awesome! He gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. He was incredibly patient with questions from 2 parents and grandma! We really hope a studio will be open in the fall because our daughter would love to live here and we would all feel really good knowing she was living at The Gramercy!
