Ron Zedek, MD

I have to say that this is one GREAT Dr. I am 50 years old and have been around the block quite a few times. The reasoning from this Dr is by far the best I have ever encountered. I read some of the other reviews and people just cant understand a straight forward no bs answer ! I am so glad I found him and I have to say he is a busy fair man. If you are looking for a honorable, smart psychiatrist give him a call. Thank you Dr. EDDY

Dr. Zedek is the absolute worst doctor I have ever encountered. When I came to him having trouble focusing and feeling somewhat depressed he tried to diagnose me as bipolar after talking with me for less than 5 minutes, when I disagreed he put me on a medication without looking at the other medications I was already on. I ended up having a horrible reaction and was admitted to a hospital. Over a year later I am on no medications and every single doctor I have talked to agreed that he should have known better. Please if you value your health and sanity DO NOT see this «doctor».

I met Dr. Zedek after having a very bad experience with a different psychiatrist. I was nervous about seeing a new doctor. After explaining my situation to Dr. Zedek he was very sympathetic and offered to help me. It was such a relief!
He recommended a slight change in my current medication which I was ok with making.
I look forward to seeing him in a week and get started making changes in my life. I feel hopeful which is feeling that has been missing from my life.
I’ll update Unilocal in the future if my opinion changes but for now he’s 5 stars for me.

Dr Zedek is horrible, he doesn’t listen to you very well, put me on a medication that made me super sick, when I called in, he told me to continue taking it, I was sick for almost three weeks bc of it, the staff is crapy and disorganized, supervisor was horrible, didn’t resolve any issues… Huge waste of time and energy

DO NOT give all your personal information until they can give you an absolute answer that they can assist you. I just tried to schedule a court mandated mental health assessment; gave them all my insurance information, and was told to call back in an hour to see if my insurance will cover it. After an hour of waiting, called back and they said «they don’t get involved with that kind of stuff». Meaning, they don’t deal with court mandated assessment. Just wasted an hour and now they have all my personal information. The receptionist said she didn’t know! UNACCEPTABLE!

Dr zedek is an awesome Dr I’ve been going to him for almost two years the staff is very friendly robin is my favorite. When I call she know me by my voice lol. Love coming here I feel comfortable and at home.

Worst experience ever with a psychiatrist. Told me to keep my chair a good distance from his desk as he does not like people close to him??? And he is a therapist? I tried to discuss symptoms with him when he suddenly announced I was depressed. I am not depressed. I have extreme anxiety. He wrote a very strange prescription for a medication I had never heard of and the dosage was to change daily. I figured I had gone this far with this crazy man so I took the prescription to Walgreens. The pharmacist was very kind but he explained he could not fill the prescription mostly because he had never heard of the medication and he could not make sense of the daily dosage change. Don’t waste your money or what is left of your sanity.

I have been seeing Dr. Zedek at Nevada Behavioral Solutiions for about two years. Dr. Zedek and his staff including my therapist have been so beneficial to my care and my safety and my well-​being that I felt it was necessary for me to write a review. The first one ever.
I am so happy with the office supervisor Robin at how well she can speak to Dr. Zedek’s clients in a way that is so comforting you feel that she really cares about the clients and her job. She can take the most upset client and defuse the situation so effortlessly that the client calm and well cared for. I am so impressed by her abilities to handle everyone with respect and care. Robins attitude makes her very unique in this profession.
My therapist goes above and beyond with my care during therapy sessions. I have never had a therapist get me to a place in my life where I can function in society and see the joys in life. Thank you.
I need to mention that Dr. Zedek has a large neon sign on his building that’s reads; «Who Cares? I do». The sign says it all. He is an amazing doctor. One who devotes his life to helping his clients become a better person. He listens, and understands what his clients are telling him. I can truthfully say that he is the best doctor I have had. If not for Dr. Zedek, my therapist, and his staff, I most likely would still be on a path of self distraction. I recommend anyone who needs specialized care to go see Dr. Zedek. He has several locations, including Pahrump, NV.

I saw Dr. Yaron (Ron) Zedek to discuss some very serious issues: alcohol abuse, depression, and anxiety being the top few. In the 40 minutes I spent waiting there, I saw at least 4 other patients get called back and leave. When I was called to his office he demonstrated very unprofessional behavior. Examples include:
* Receiving a call from his wife, which lasted 2 – 3 minutes
* Interrupting me every time I tried to elaborate on something
* Obviously not believing some of my answers to his questions
* Being extremely impatient with my questions
* Trying to intimidate me into taking a very powerful psychosomatic drug not relevant to my condition (Geodon)
* Lying about the risks of Geodon
* Spending less than 15 minutes diagnosing me with a very serious condition
I have since gotten a second opinion, and my new Dr. (who has already spent 2 and a half hours on 2 separate occasions with me) does not agree with Zedek’s diagnosis. He also said Geodon would not even have been the right drug if Zedek’s diagnosis was correct.
I requested a refund, but he has refused and is insisting his diagnosis was well considered. He claims he spent a half an hour diagnosing me, which is a flat out lie. Do not go to Zedek for real help. He is nothing more than a licensed drug dealer.
