Mad Hatter Cupcakes

Ordered 2.5 dozen cupcakes for my bosses bday. All different flavors and combos and designs. Was ready at the time we needed it. Decorations are on point and super awesome! I’m not a huge cupcake person, more of a good person, and I’m confused by the reviews. As I had said they have a large variety of flavors as opposed to other bakeries just have the same generic flavors. The cupcake itself was rich and moist not dry at all and surprise even had some filling in some of the cup cakes. They had my order ready and the lady at the counter was friendly. Would recommend and come back. Only problem is I wish it was closer to my house!

Given the flavors of cupcakes plus all the flavors of icing, they have a pretty good selection of cupcake combos to choose from! The only issues I have is I felt like a filling plus the icing onto was a little too much icing, and he cake itself can taste a liiittle more like their advertised flavor. Still super good cupcakes though

Customer service was good… cupcakes themselves were dry. We just basically threw away $ 15 for (4) dry cupcakes. Probably won’t be back.

Hands down the worst cupcakes I’ve ever had. Ordered a chocolate one and the coffee one. The cake itself was very dense. Not to be confused with rich and flavorful. It was like corn bread minus the flavor. The icing was flavorless and the execution I saw when they put it on was abysmal. She just started at one end and shot it out. No skill went into this what so ever. Just looked sloppy. And then to top it all off it was nearly 4 bucks per cupcakes. Blew my mind in all the wrong ways. Will never go back. I will always pay more for good food. But you couldn’t pay me to eat one of these cupcakes again.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Let me rewind first. I went here a couple months ago, ordered a peanut butter cupcake and did NOT enjoy it at ALL. But… since it had been months later, I decided to try them again… when I walked in, I stood there for quite some time and a young lady with blue hair did not even lift her head to greet me… Something told me to walk out then, but I didn’t. I asked her if I was interrupting something. She said, no. ((Coulda fooled me))… Anywho, so I ordered a half dozen of cupcakes. I questioned the young lady about why my cupcakes weren’t decorated neatly, considering what they cost. She explained that the cutely decorated cupcakes in the front of the store were for «show» only. I asked her to please decorate mine accordingly, which she did. However, I was disappointed at the over abundance of frosting she squeezed on my cupcakes. When I got to my car, I tasted them before I drove off and they were just how I remembered, DRY, FLAVORLESS AND BLAH. Don’t waste your money. YOU’LL BE SORRY! This is Vegas. We can find BETTER CUPCAKES THAN THIS!

I guess when a business states they are open until 7:30pm on a Wednesday, it actually means they are closed at 7. We drove over here after seeing they were open until 7:30pm because my girlfriend wanted to grab a cupcake, only to find that the doors had been locked and the employee was busy in the back and did not notice us at the front door. Next time when a business closes early, they may want to turn the «open» sign off for the night. Very upsetting.

I got a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting (only one small cupcake) and I paid 3.79 it wasn’t even good! I love red velvet and this tastes worse then something you could pick up at the grocery store! Not worth the price at all. I give two stars because the girl working here was friendly. will not return!

The girl who works there is very friendly and helpful. She will make your cupcakes look perfect. There is big choice of tastes, which I like. They are delicious.

We’ve lived here in Vegas now for two years and have been meaning to try this place and always forget! Happen to be having lunch next door so we popped in after.
OMG!!! They are so delish! I cannot believe we waited this long! Definitely will be back soon! They are seriously so good. I will be using them for any parties in our future. They are amazing!

Got a half dozen cupcakes today and have had Mad Hatters Cupcakes before and they are always great cupcakes. The service is excellent helping with the menu. Best cupcakes in Vegas.

My company perfect air and pipe some work for the air conditioning unit last summer.
I decided to try the cupcakes cause I was already here and happened to be craving something sweet. The cupcakes are absolutely amazing. They are priced well for a bakery and they have a huge selection.
The staff is easy to deal with and the owner page is super cool. That makes it an overall good experience. It is a little far from where I am but it is worth the drive for me.
I would definitely come back here for another serving at my sweet tooth’s request.

I Love this place again! There has been many really great changes! The cupcakes were always great. I see now better customer training has taken place. The 1 person who needed it actually had a great suggestion and even better attitude! Ashley is always a true pleasure but this whole place is a joy now! I Love to see such great improvement in such a short amount of time!!! The new eggnog cupcake is so AMAZING! I Love this place again! You will too :-)

Went in there with my mom for the first time today after hearing a lot about it here on Unilocal.Had an excellent experience. The girl helping us was very nice. Gave us a menu with everything to make the perfect cupcake.
I chose the Snickerdoodle with the original cinnamon cream cheese icing and no filling (after seeing how much icing they put on top, filling was not needed). My mom got the carrot cake with the vanilla buttercream icing and also no filling. My cupcake was outstanding. The top of it was a little crunchy but not too crunchy and the rest was incredibly soft and fluffy. Perfectly crafted cupcake.
5 stars all around. This will be a once a month thing for me (won’t go overboard) but man, this was great. Highly recommended for cupcake lovers.

Cupcakes! Cupcakes! Our family has a thing… try cupcakes everywhere! Could be a lot of peoples thing lol. My sister in law saw them on cupcake wars so we had to try it.
Love the idea of being able to pick the filling and frosting. Create your own cupcake, fun idea! Tons of delicious flavors to choose from as well.
Aside from the idea of creating your own cupcake, the awe of their cupcakes ends there. Unfortunately the flavor of the cupcakes is a little on the bland side. I expected the sweet flavor of red velvet but it tasted like regular cake. The same for the strawberry, which I expected to be sweet, very bland. if it wasn’t for the frosting the entire cupcake would be close to tasteless. The frosting saved the cupcake and was pretty much the entire taste.

Just the saddest looking cupcakes ever!
My daughter wanted to be nice and bring me a dozen cupcakes for an early Mother’s Day treat. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Not for the fact that she made the effort to bring me something nice, but because she wasted her money on food product unsuitable for human consumption.
So here are my issues:
#1, Aside from a paper cup for which the batter is baked, everything else should be edible. Is it really necessary to push plastic rings inside a cupcake where only the top of the ring shows? They looked like candy and thank G-​d I removed them before giving one of your cupcakes to a toddler here in the house. Seriously, WTF!!!
#2, We’re in Vegas, baby. It gets hot here and though it was only in the 80s yesterday, you should find a better way to present your expensive cupcakes. After five minutes and having the buttercream literally slide off the cupcake is unacceptable. If placing them in covered plastic makes them sweat in this desert heat, then find a solution.
I love good baked goods and the appearance of your cupcakes to me is like having a lousy graphics card on a computer — it makes me want to cry.
Would I ever step foot in your establishment for a cupcake? Never! Not even if you had the last oven on earth.
If you wanted to do the right thing, you would refund my daughter the money she paid for a dozen of your cupcakes and apologize.

I love their cupcakes, but I have to be patient going here.
I usually see only 1 person working as both my cupcake maker and my cashier, and they’re usually busy.
I can tell if the individual is feeling the pressure when a large group comes into the establishment, and they try to be as patient with you as possible, but it doesn’t always work.
I think I got mad at one instance because I wanted specific fillings and decorations for my siblings, and they were just trying to do their usual.

Custom Cupcakes
Located west Flamingo near the 215. The store is quite close to Fudruckers and a Thai restaurant Aryana Thai.
If you have a sweet tooth and cupcakes are your thing, Mad Hatters maybe just something that can satisfy your needs. There is a little system to ordering
1) select a cake flavor
2) select a filling
3) select a topping.
It’s pretty simple. If your like myself who is hopelessly not very creative, they do have a menu of cupcakes that you can choose from.
The half dozen cupcakes I ordered were not bad. A little dry and not as moist as say Cupcakery cupcakes but the simple fact that you can tailor make your cupcakes is pretty cool.

The older reviews here are lower than the more recent ones, and apparently they changed something, because I was pleasantly surprised by the cakes I received and I’m not easily impressed by miniature baked goods.
As Dana details in her review, the gimmick this place has that other bakeries don’t is that you customize your order: the cake flavor, the filling, and/​or the frosting, from several appealing choices. They also have a list of 20-​odd suggested combinations with cutesy names.
Cakes I’ve tried here were decently moist and not too sweet, frosting is sugary but also has strong flavors: the peanut butter here is a favorite among many places I’ve tried it. PB and coffee are my usual flavors of choice, keep meaning to try the snicker doodle and carrot cake.

Was over at Manhattan Fish Grill and my wifey couldn’t help but notice the big words «Cupcake» across the parking lot. So off we went as soon as we were done with lunch.
Since we have never been there, we found out that their specialty was making custom cupcakes made to order right in front you. Basically, they have cupcakes already made for you to pick out and add whatever to your liking.
So we went with the Chocolate Cupcake and had them fill it with White Chocolate Crème topped off with Java Frosting. The total came out close to 4 bucks.
What happened next was pure disappointment. Wifey took one bite and said it was way too dry. I tried it as well and verified her claim. I think even on her worse day, my wifey could of made a better cupcake. We should of took a bite before we left so we could of either got a refund or at least another replacement in hopes that it would be better.
So for the price and quality it was not worth it. The only good thing that came out of it was that the mini Strawberry Cupcakes that were on sample were actually pretty good. Maybe we were given an old cupcake. Maybe it was just baked that way. All I know is that we ate only half of it and my wife loves her sweets, but she said she could not bring herself to finish it. Not coming back any time soon.
