La Quinta Inn & Suites Las Vegas RedRock/Summerlin

Spent only one night here and the main reason is because they’re pet friendly. Our room was the Queen suite that had a stove and full size refrigerator and pullout sofa bed. Check in and check out was a quick and easy process.
Free continental breakfast which, according to my brother, is pretty decent and they offered good food.
Overall, decent and quiet place. Far from the strip, which is good if you’re not into partying and the Vegas nightlife.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is so nice warm n inviting! We loved our room. Had a full kitchen a jacuzzi in our room n king size bed. Free breakfast, very yummy BTW. N I got to bring my dog who was allowed to stay free no charge unless she ruined something which she didn’t. I’ll def stay here again n did I mention its 20 mins away from the strips! Love love this place!

I stayed here several years ago, but returned this week. I was quite happy. I asked for a quiet room and got one. I always feel like it’s a roll of the dice as to who stays in the rooms next to you, but my room was on the end.
The room was nice, clean and had all the amenities I could want (WiFi, kitchen, good TV). The staff was professional (Mary?) and friendly.
The breakfast was so-​so, with the usual motel free breakfast.
The price was reasonable and that’s what brought me back. I had stayed away because I remembered them as pricey, but it was quite reasonable, this time.
I shall return!

I was actually very happy with this motel. Things didn’t look promising at first. The man at the desk was about to downgrade me from what I’d booked. Had he done so I would have walked out. Thankfully, I got an upgrade for the same price. For some reason this motel has single queens in some rooms, beware. I never understand why any place would have that. I liked the location near Red Rock Canyon, Red Rock Casino and an easy distance from stores and restaurants. The room had a refrigerator which is a great convenience and the room was spacious. Decent pool and cookies at night; not bad included breakfast.

Our first room had a terrible double bed with mattress that sagged to the middle. Graciously,
La Quinta staff moved us to another room, which I accepted after testing the bed. It was OK.
However, after only one night this bed also developed a deep sag in the middle.
If you are renting a hotel room for a good night’s sleep, avoid this hotel.
I might be wrong, but I would assume that La Quinta like all financially oriented organizations orders things like mattresses in bulk for all its locations to save money. If so, the entire chain might be stocked with mattresses that easily sag to the middle. If so, avoid La Quinta altogether.

Just OK. Had two rooms. Both were marginally acceptable and needed better cleaning. The whole hotel needs updating.

The best service I remember getting from a hotel chain in a while. They made our family feel like we were staying with neighbors or close friends instead of in a random sector of Clark County Nevada.
Accessibility:
We checked in at about 6pm after having a buffet lunner at the Rio. It’s quite a drive from the Las Vegas strip, and I think considered a different city altogether. (Summerlin, NV?) The check in email will suggest you take 215 to Sahara, and then drive north to around Fort Apache street (if I remember correctly).
Would not recommend if you’re out of town and flying in, as it was a 15 min drive even at 11pm at night.
Service:
Everyone is so friendly! I consider myself easy going on the level of service I require– Chinese restaurants with rude as hell waiters? No problem if the food is still good! But when the service is good, it definitely enhances everything.
The 6pm front desk clerk (I’m so bad at names, doh) made personable small talk as my dad checked in– how’s the drive, what are you in town for, etc. I found it cute how she reminded us twice that they bake fresh cookies nightly at 7pm! About half an hour after check in I ventured out to request extra blankets and toiletries and she laughed and said she’d «give me the better stuff» LOL. She handed me a giant stack of Loreal volumizing shamppo/​conditioner in lieu of the hotel standard stuff .Well, she definitely had the goods, and it was definitely good shampoo hahaha.
At breakfast the next morning the employee who managed the area was also sweet. She kept the coffee and eggs refilled and also took plates away immediately as people finished.
The same goes for express checkout. I’m not sure if this is an executive suite only option though, because we were able to choose it but had a suite. This place apparently lets you simply call the front desk with your room number and tell them that you’ll be checking out, and just pack up and leave. I dialed for the front desk when we left and a bright young lady immediately quipped «did you enjoy your stay? Please come back and see us soon! :D :D» This may be standard for many other hotels but from my limited travel experience she sounded very genuine and made me feel very welcome.
Room Amenities:
As I noted above, our family rented a suite. We were on the first floor in a corner. The suite had a king bed and a sleeper sofa, both of which were rather comfy. It also had an HD tv, which made for a good hour of HD Dodgers game viewing.
A minor to moderate quibble is that the AC and in room fridge sounded like absolute tractor trailers at night, going off at intervals. But eh, hotel appliances, what can you do? No complaints otherwise.
Not sure what I’d be back /​for/​, but if I do ever need a room in the area again I’d go here. :D

This property, while decent looking from the outside had many flaws for us.
When I called to confirm my reservation the night before, I was upgraded to a full kitchen from a kitchenette. That was nice. What she forgot to tell me was, it was actually a downgrade since I had reserved a king bed and now had the smallest queen I have ever seen. I was given the option of switching to an ADA room after unpacking but, too much of a hassle. The reservation said room type «KS». He told me lots of people mistake that. Gee, I wonder why you would pick those letters!!!
When I checked in, the clerk told me that the air was controlled at the desk but, we could modify it from the unit in the room. Wat??? Why would you mention that at all? Turns out it is either freezing cold or you can shut it off– nothing in between and, I’m pretty sure this was his way of prepping me for it. Later, «Should I send maintenance up sir?» Will they be able to fix it? «No, not really». Then why send them? (They sent him anyway and, woke me from my only Las Vegas nap– bummer)
Wifi is spotty or nonfunctional in my room. I’m a gamer and being disconnected in the middle of battle is LESS than acceptable. News flash– It’s 2015 guys, upgrade your servers for about $ 15 a month. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SAVE MONEY.

Light switch in bathroom automatically put on fan and, it was extremely loud.
The staff was totally nice and friendly. I walked by the front desk about 10 times and, they were always having a positive interaction with a great attitude.
Walking the dog was totally cool around here cept for the few idiots that did not pick up the poop.
Overall, I would not stay here again. It’s the little things (easily fixed) that count when not staying in a casino hotel. I could get that for half the price there.

After 13 hours on the road we rolled into Vegas late trying to find a place to stay with our 110 lb bernese mountain dog. No hotels would accept a pup over 50 lbs. We were exhausted and worried we’d have to push on. Then I remembered a friend telling me La Quinta had no weight limits and she stayed with her German Shepard there all the time! What a life saver La Quinta Inn is, we were welcomed with smiles and dog treats Free breakfast in the morning is a nice plus too! Free wifi and parking, awesome experience!

We lived here for ten days while waiting for our place to be ready. It was a great introduction to vegas. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Dog friendly. We still drop by to visit and say hello. Right next door to Young Israel of Las Vegas for visitors who want to be next to a synagogue. Ask for the YI rate. Kosher cookies too!

Needed a pet friendly hotel as we were travelling from Bakersfield back to Salt Lake City and was looking for a spot in Vegas. Called them and they said they don’t put limits on pets or charge an additional fee so I figured would give it a shot since the reveiws here are good.
Check in was painless and the guy was so nice. Friendly, funny and knowledgable. Gave me all the info I needed. The room was bigger then expected which was nice since it was hubby, me and three small dogs and all their stuff. Room was updated and very clean. Had a little kitchenette which was nice too.
Out back in the parking lot, they have a small patch of grass for the dogs to do their business as well as baggies to pick it up. Nice touch. It was off the strip which was a plus for us as we had no interest in gambling on this trip.
Breakfast the next day consisted of the standard continental fare; yogurt, cereal, fruit, toast, hard boiled eggs and a waffle maker. They also had a hot try of cooked eggs and sausage. With juice and coffee, we were all set.
We would stay here again even if we didn’t have the pups with us. It was that great.

This is a nice, quiet place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I booked a studio and had a good experience. The bed was comfortable and room was clean, with newly tiled floors in bathroom and entryway/​kitchen. The kitchen has a full-​size refrigerator with ice-​maker, two burners, microwaves, sink, paper towels, toaster and Keurig single-​serve coffee maker.
The morning breakfast scene was managed well. The pool and jacuzzi areas were clean and well-​stocked with towels. This area also has a small fitness room with a bottled water cooler.
The surrounding area is lined w/​beautifully manicured palm trees. And, as a bonus, you can walk to dinner and have several options to choose from nearby, including; Italian, Mexican and the Old Chicago brew pub (my destination).

Was a great place to stay. Good value. If they had a hot breakfast (besides waffles) would be an easy five stars. Nice clean spacious room. Great customer service, good location, a movie theater and lots of places to eat near by. Would def stay again & recommend!

Stayed here for a few days before our house was ready to move in. Nice spacious room with a kitchenette and sitting area with a couch/​pullout bed, and DirecTv. The staff was nice and had a decent complimentary breakfast. My only fuss was the bed. I am used to a king-​sized bed. Not their fault it was only a queen. The problem with the bed was that it was waaaay too soft, and felt like it leaned backward towards the head. I felt like I was being swallowed when i got in. There was a pool also, but I didn’t have a chance to check it out. Would definitely stay here again if needed.

This place sure beats the campground at Red Rocks!
I stayed for a few days here to climb. I had a kitchen, and my dogs were with me. I was very satisfied with the stay. There is no casino, or slots in the building, or close by, so it was very quiet. Perfect after climbing some sweet routes down the road. The pool and jacuzzi were great too.
As of this review, there were no dog fees and the staff was very dog friendly. I will be returning!

First stay at a La Quinta. Room was nice and had a small kitchen with a full fridge, 2 burner stove and everything to go with it all including some dishes. The bed was pretty good and the TV had actual DirecTV service with most channels.
The reason it got 3 starts instead of 4 from me was the internet service. I had called and asked before I booked if the internet was good. I do some work on line and need a steady decent connection. I was told it was very good. Well from about 7pm till about 11pm you cant do much more then some basic checking email and pull a few web pages that you are in no big hurry to see. I was not at all happy after having booked the room for a week.
Added: 10pm at night .2 down and it just times out on the upload test… completely useless.

Great customer service! While on a climbing trip, we stayed two nights and loved it. 24 hour hot tub and pool. Decent little breakfast, super clean and modern rooms. Keurig, and a refrigerator, a very nice kitchenette. Great Prices. We called 4 or 5 different hotels in searching for a good room and a good rate. Most the hotels were competitive in price but Sally sold us on the phone with killer service. Once we checked in she was even more charming. Infectious smile, and laughter with engaging conversation. It seemed as she loved her job and the company she represented. We will be telling our climbing friends/​community on line, and any one else debating between camping and hotel to check out the la quinta red rocks.

I now have trust issues with the La Quinta brand name. I’ve stayed at several in the past and have never had unpleasant experiences. Based on those experiences, I did have high standards for this location. Unfortunately, they weren’t met.
One of my cousins was planning on driving into town for a few days, so I helped her find a last minute hotel room. She was traveling with her dog and decided she didn’t want to board him at a veterinarian clinic, so I suggested she book a room off-​Strip considering how the majority of pet friendly hotels were charging almost $ 300 nightly during the days she would be here. I chose this location for the following reasons:
+ Short drive to the 215 beltway
+ Although not near The Strip, the major side streets leading there are easily accessible; The Strip is about 15 – 20 minutes away
+ Great location with many nearby restaurants, stores, and parks
+ All rooms are pet friendly and there are no additional fees to pay if you have a pet
+ Complimentary breakfast
+ Free Wi-​Fi

My cousin booked a room with two beds, so I did bunk here for a few days and am able to share my experience about my stay.
The room we had was nothing fancy, but it was clean and spacious. Beds were also comfortable and free of questionable stains. Our bathroom was small and had a strange layout. The toilet and the shower with the leaky faucet were located in one room, and the sink was outside. In addition to the leaky faucet, our room had other quirks like the fire alarm going off when there was no smoke. Despite those minor concerns, we had a comfortable stay.
SERVICE
This hotel does have several hospitable staff members, but I question the quality of service we received from others.
The check-​in process was smooth up until I asked what their policy was for pets being left in the rooms if we decide to have the cleaning attendants tidy up while we were out, ex: Does the dog need to be placed in a crate? Do we have to schedule a time for when the attendants can come up and clean the room while we take the dog out? The guy at the counter’s answer was something along the lines of: «Um, you can leave it there or something.» Fortunately, another employee provided us with some real answers. You can schedule the cleaning attendants to clean your room during certain times while you’re out with your pet. We chose to leave up the «Do Not Disturb» sign instead, that works.
We received an unnecessary 6AM «wake up call» from the front desk informing us that a customer made a complaint about how we parked our vehicle too close to theirs and that they, «couldn’t get into their car.» I’m not going to get into the ridiculous details and the strong opinions my cousin and myself have about the problem, but in short: the issue could’ve been handled in a professional manner than waking us up at 6AM in the morning.
Lastly, we had a staff member knock on our door to ask if we were leaving that day. The answer: No. The suggestion we wanted to provide: Check your records.
OVERALL
The basic rooms are fine, but the customer service is inferior.

I have been living in this hotel for the better part of a year. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They have fresh baked cookies every night at 7 — chocolate chip is by far the best if you get them warm. My room has a full size fridge, two burner stove, cupboards and dishes. They are comfortable and clean, but not fancy. They recently upgraded to new flat screen TV’s in every room with dish satellite and nice coffee pots (Keurieg type).
The pool is small and clean, but open 24 hours so you can swim laps in the wee hours of the morning or evening when it’s cool out and the kids are nowhere to be seen. The exercise room is small and nothing to write home about — they have the basics, but I choose not to use it. They have three washers and three driers in the laundry room, $ 3 to wash and dry a load.
The breakfast is decent: yogurt, cereal, waffles, boiled eggs, coffee and hot chocolate, watery juice, toast, bagels, bananas, and one rotating item (such as biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs and sausage, or just scrambled egg disks).
If you are staying here long term, check out Smith’s for groceries. It’s several blocks NW on Charleston and Hualapai. Much better than the nearby Albertsons for produce and selection.
