Journey Dance Academy in Las Vegas is the best dance and fitness studio in the area. We focus on each child as an individual and help them perform their best at their level and their own speed. Whether it is a competition or recital, we are here to help reach personal goals.

We offer a diverse class list for both beginning and advanced students. Our dance classes include: hip hop, tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, ballroom, competition teams, stretch, and routines/​private lessons. We offer theater and voice classes as well as tumbling, fitness flex, mommy and me, and musical Pre-​K.

With an accomplished team of instructors and a fun and skillful standard, we are sure that you will enjoy your experience at Journey Dance Academy.

History

Established in 2014.

Journey Dance Academy was started in 2014 in Las Vegas. At Journey Dance Academy, we take pride in helping students grow to their full potential and reach their dreams whatever they might be. We hope for many years of success!

Meet the Business Owner

Suhmer Z.

Business Owner

Suhmer Zeiter, our Studio Director, has been dancing for over 30 years and has been teaching dance for 20 years. She graduated from UNLV with a BFA. Suhmer also competed on Television’s Star Search. She danced for both the Chicago Bulls (as a Luvabull) and for the Utah Jazz (Utah Jazz Dancers). She is thrilled to be the Studio Director of Journey Dance Academy. With three wonderful kids of her own, she loves to see young lives enriched by the Performing Arts.

My daughter had a great time in Miss Summer’s class. The class was well organized and structured, but the kids also were able to have fun, which is very important for younger kids. The only reason I took a star off was because of the class schedule. They only offered classes for 2 – 4 year olds on Saturdays. If they had afternoon classes during the week, my daughter would still be enrolled.

I put both my girls in the tap & ballet combo class. They count down the days until it’s time for dance! Ms. Christina and Ms. Suhmer are both amazing teachers. They both have great talent and also great patience. The way they control a class full of 3 – 5 year olds and still manage to teach them new skills amazes me! They even include some time on the mat for tumbling which the kids all seem to look forward to. My girls are loving it so much I decided to put them in a second class during the week– which was discounted $ 10! Now Mom’s happy too ;-)

Suhmer’s mommy and me class was so much fun for my 1-​year-​old and I. She was soooo patient considering I could only wrangle in my diva for a few minutes at a time to participate. She had no problem with her running around and doing her own thing. We can’t wait to go back and to grow with Journey!
