So often, medical professionals are not recognized for the outstanding work they do, only criticized for the times when things do not go perfectly. «Like Barack Obama said, ‘It’s time for a change.;» ~Three 6 Mafia.
From the minute you walk into Insight Eyecare, you feel valued. The front desk staff are very friendly and attentive, which is so important, since these people give you a first and last impression of an office. The practice is busy (always a good sign), but appointments are not triple booked, so you never have to wait too long. The tech is thorough and streamlines the appointment. When you are seen by Dr. Steed, he takes his time, answers questions and never seems to be trying to hustle you out the door.
Perhaps my favorite part of being a patient here, is that I have never felt pressure to purchase products or see a specialist unnecessarily. Dr. Steed makes recommendations but leaves the choice to his patient, as all good providers should. Because my reading glasses are from 1999, I decided an upgrade was in order. Scott (?) was really helpful in helping me pick out new frames. Great experience all around. This is my second year seeing Dr. Steed and I plan to be a patient for many years to come.

I have a previous prescription for contact lenses and eyeglasses somewhere else prior to coming to this office. I never experience any headaches on the prescription and my vision was great! I decided to go here since it was near by me and I needed to update the prescription, it turn out to be a bad decision I made. Dr. Steed give me a lower prescription and said that the prior one was too high. And told me to let him know if it does work out or not. I called back to schedule for a re-​exam since the prescription he gave me, I could see near but not far!!! This is so frustrating due to this I have experienced headache and can’t focus! The staff wasn’t so sure about the billing. She told me I might have to pay more?! I don’t think so… I don’t mind paying for a whole new fitting but theres no way I’m going to pay more for a wrong prescription… no thank… I’ll save myself some trouble and go to another office and pay them to do a good job!

Dr. Steed and his staff are talented and professional. They work efficiently and are always helpful and courteous. The optical staff always help me pick out frames that I love (and it’s really difficult to choose when you can’t see yourself!). Over the years, I’ve always been happy with what they help me select, and so I trust and appreciate them. Excellent work!

Professional. More than just an eye exam.
No dilation imaging available ($ 30 out of pocket I did not mind spending) clear view of the optic nerves, etc.
Timely. Very efficient intake and testing.
Detailed. He really takes the time to explain any findings, offers suggestions and answers questions in a down to earth manner. I would have given 5 stars, I would like to be called regarding my referral soon. I felt when I left it was a loose end that needed tying. All around great experience.

Nice facility, doctor is nice, but has no concern about customer satisfaction. We sent them payment for the outstanding bill minus the deductible. One month later they never received our check. Presumably lost in the mail, so we advised them we would stop payment for fraud protection and send them a new check. Well they received the original check 6 WEEKS Later and attempted to cash it. 8 days after the second check was written and they haven’t even got to that one. Needless to say, the doctor refused to speak to us and wanted the fine paid. No problem paid the fine on the spot. No problem we just won’t be return customers along with our family.

Horrible customer service! Will never return back! I highly discourage anyone visiting this place!

I am upset they do not know how to bill my insurance correctly. They had informed me my insurance would cover my contacts and they did not bill my insurance. Even if I pay I need a Explanation of benefits because I have a health care savings plan. They did not care and did not provide me with one as I asked. This was also the case with my father. I will go elsewhere!

Finally got an appointment in but when I got there they didn’t have me on the books. Glad they took care of the situation. The exam was good the doc was thorough and knowledgable. The eye drops to dilate your eyes made my eyes so blurry to the point where I almost couldn’t drive home. I do like the hours of operation as its more flexible to those who get off later

I’ve been going here for a couple years now with my daughter. I use to live a block away when I started going, which is why I chose this optometrist but I now live on the other side of town but still drive to them because they have amazing service. The staff is all very nice and helpful and Dr Steed is great with both me and my daughter. They have a great selection in frames too. I highly recommend them.

I use to live in this area. And came upon it from Google. Since then I’ve been coming here 3yrs. I currently moved to other side of town. But because service is great. And Dr Steed takes the time to care. It’s my fave place to go. Dr Steed is very thorough. I had dry eyes apparently that made it hard to see sometimes. He started me different eyedrops to see if that would solve the problem. I tried about 3 different ones. My eyes were still dry. Next step. Eye plugs. I was nervous at first, cause it sounded scary. I was like plugs in my eye. He explained everything and assured me things would be ok and put my mind at ease. Now my eyes are perfect. I go so much everyone knows me and my boys by name. If you have appointment. You’re seen right away. The staff is great and good with kids. I highly recommend them

I am a new patient to this clinic and let me just say my experience was very good. Everyone had a smile and were so polite and nice! The doctor is awesome as well he made conversation and was so nice. It’s refreshing to go to a clinic and be treated so well. I have had many eye exams before and let me just say that they took the time and patience to check out my eyes correctly I’ve never had some of the things done to me there in other clinics it just seemed like they actually care. I would definitely recommend this clinic to everyone the great staff and great doctor by far.

This is where my son gets his glasses from. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The wait time wasn’t too bad either. In fact, last time we were there we were in and out.

I was so impressed with this office. I made an appointment with Jen and she was so kind and accommodating! Dr. Steed was super thorough and listened to my concerns with my chronic cornea ulcer and it was so comforting to be meeting with a doctor that knew his stuff! After my exam I met with Mark who helped me find the perfect pair of glasses. It was so awesome to have someone helping me that had style and could point me in the right direction! I have been so pleased and happy with everyone here! Recommend it 100%

I have been going to Dr. Steed for about 5 years, and there was always some kind of problem. The first time I went there he did a contact fitting and didn’t inform me that there was going to be a separate charge, which was fine but it was very annoying to be hit with a charge that I wasn’t expecting. Last year I had an appointment in April for contacts. Then in September I needed to order some more contacts and they told me that I had to have a full exam before I could get new contacts. I explained to Jennifer that I had just had an appt in April and she said that they had no record of it. I wasnt going to argue with her so I did the exam. The next month I wanted to get glasses and they also informed me that my contact prescription was 2 years old. At this point I’m so angry because this is the second time I was told this and I JUST had an appt a month prior. I spoke with Dr. Steed and basically he said that I didn’t have those appts. The staff there were all very nice except for Jennifer she was very rude and talked down to me. I’m not happy with all the problems that kept coming up. I have found a new eye dr that I love!

Very close convenient location to where I live. All staff polite and professional they have a great selection of frames and people to assist you in finding the right pair for you. Dr. Steed was nice. Very to the point as soon as he comes into the room doesn’t waste your time. Diagnosed my issues right away and had my prescription right away. Will more than likely make this my primary eye doctor. Only negative is my copay was a little high compared to other offices I have been to. Not sure if that’s cause of them or my insurance but not that big of a deal.

My wife and I have being Dr. Steed’s patients for over 10 years. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I would recommend and have recommended people to his office several times. His office is clean and modern. My only critique is that as the practice has grown over the years, he has understandably had to delegate some responsibilities to his staff. In the early days of his practice, he would do everything, and because he is so personable I loved that. His staff is less friendly and less personable, but still pleasant.

Very impressed from the minute I walked in. Wonderful friendly staff. This is the first time I have ever had anyone find a good enough prescription for me to see ²⁰⁄₁₅. So thankful the Dr has a vast knowledge of all the various lenses out there on the market. I’m an extremely happy camper!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Steed’s for over 10 years and have always been impressed with the thoroughness of his eye exams. A couple of years ago after having eye surgery, an ophthalmologist fitted me for contacts and after a few months of not being able to see and bouncing off walls, I went back to Dr. Steed and he fixed the problem. I am a Physician Assistant and have to be able to see fine details etc. and he has always made that possible. The office staff is always friendly, courteous and efficient. I love the level of technology used in the office and that I can make my appointments on-​line. I highly recommend Insight Eyecare and trust them with my eye care as well as my patients.
