Steven D came out to the house to do some work on our water softener. He knew exactly what he was doing and got everything up and running in record time. He answered all of the questions that we had about the unit. He was very polite and friendly. Usually friendly and knowledgable do not seem to come together but with Steven we got the best of both. We are going to request Steven if we ever have any electric, ac, or plumbing issues. He really kinows his stuff !!!

I’m very upset that my home warranty keep on sending this company to my home. I refuse their services. They are extremely rude and some does not know what they are doing. They did what they are not suppose to do and after making a hole in my ceiling they said they are not authorize to fix it. WTH! They didn’t even bother cleaning the area. Months later I have issue with my town house they sent the same company.
Of course, he walked in the house while he was on the phone with his buddy talking about a girl. Then after going to the bathroom less than a SECOND he walked out and sat in the van. I was inside the house waiting for him to tell me but he never came back. I was so mad I can’t see straight. I called ideal service and asks what happen they said he hasn’t called it in yet.

I request a plumber thru my American Home Shield (Home warranty) for a leak under my tub. Prior owner installed a jetted tub but it is still covered. There is a leak from the tub drain sealant and from the spout. When he got there I had Directv there as well. Directv was just finishing up but had me on the phone for last minute survey. So I took the plumber into the bathroom/​master bedroom (access panel is in the bedroom for the plumbing of the shower). Showed him where the leak was coming from and ask him to check it out and that I would be back in one second. (back in after showing out Directv guy) I went back to him and apologized, and I asked him what he thought. He said that he couldn’t see the problem, so I had to fill the tub with water and show him. (which I thought a plumber would do on his own but Hey whatever!!) Then after draining it (of course) it started dripping. I showed him the other leak (from the spout) and he said that there wasn’t a leak there but I showed him that it was «wet» and that yes indeed there was a drip. Anyway… He stated that the leak that was coming from the drain was not covered because it was out of CODE… I asked why? and he said that this was a remodel and that they did it wrong. That they would have to break into the foundation and make a new drain. Now I was in shock! Shock that was even possibly the problem. He also said the type of piping was wrong as well. (well after a little research I found out that he was wrong, because ALL the house in my neighborhood with this same exact floor plan, had the shower on the same side of the wall and they would of had to had the drain with a pipe to the main drain into the foundation to the mid-​side of the ground.) Number two!!! White ear plug in one ear for his personal phone calls!!! Just rude and unprofessional. I don’t need to hear about he and another person argue about WHATEVER when I am standing there with major questions on How I can get help with my plumbing! I asked him why in the world did I pay 75.00 for him to come out and tell me nothing to help. I asked him to call my home warranty company now. He said no because they take too long. I told him well I paid 75 and I would like to know now if it is covered or not. He said well I’ll call but I’m only holding for 5 minutes. I was WAY upset now… I said So I had you come out to tell me that I could not get help, it would cost 2800 to replace the tub and walls (just to avoid breaking the foundation for a new drain hole, which would cost much much more!!) and you cannot stay on hold for a little while so I can try to figure this out, Plus if it is covered then I will have to pay another 75 for another visit to have you come back out and do the work. He said you wouldn’t have to pay again IF youre covered but I’m telling you, this will not be covered. Well he did call and stayed on the phone for 2, yes 2!!! minutes!!! What a waste! So he said I will call tomorrow and let you know what they say. Two days later and I didn’t hear from him, but did receive an email stating that the «work request was completed». So I contacted my home warranty company and told them that I didn’t agree with this guy and that I wanted a 2^nd opinion. They agreed. But now with another company that has horrible reviews as well. In my experience, Jorge is not qualified to in this field at all. And in any way, shape or form, as a professional!!! Show alittle integrity!!!

Aaron was awesome! He not only called to give me a time, but also followed up with a call to let me know he was running early! I was so impressed.
He fixed our problem within minutes, and gave me all the information and a quote for another repair that is needed… who does that these days?
He was polite, punctual, and explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand. He’s been doing this for a long time, so let’s be honest, I was lucky to land him on our first plumbing issue.
I will use him for everything, I can assure you.

I wish I could just rate my technician Aaron. I’d give him a 5* He was fast and friendly. However the customer service and communication of this company is horrendous.

Despite my home warranty company calling numerous times about my approved upgrade to emergency service for my broken A/​C they still tell me they haven’t received anything regarding it. With a two month old baby in the house and the temperature being over 100 degrees it’s ridiculous that I have to wait three days just to get a technician out to the house. Customer service is a joke, they don’t offer any other solutions when I call. The only response I get is «We didn’t get anything k bye.» I’ll be sure to warn everyone I know away from them but unfortunately it’s my only option through my home warranty company so I’m stuck with them. If I could give them less than one star if I would.

I was taught to say nothing at all if you have NOTHING good to say. But I can’t let this go without at least giving this one star rating an answer for others to follow. Less than 3 years ago I had a water heater replaced by Ideal Services. The water heater in question went out and I was told by home warranty that the water heater was still under manufacturer warranty and that I needed to go through them. I called Ideal since they installed this leaking pile of crap (Bradford White water heater) and when the tech comes out and tells me they can’t get to it till the next day… and that even though it’s a warranty replaced water heater the labor and hardware changes were going to run me almost $ 500. I went with another plumbing company and got a Rheem water heater installed with ALL changes in hardware with labor for $ 125 more. Now tell me what is wrong with that picture? I cannot give them any kind of recommendation to do any kind of work. This is my first one star review.

I just had the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Terrible customer service. I don’t understand how this company is even in business. DO NOT BOTHER TO USE THEM FOR ANY SERVICES. How can you be rude, not listen and not be a little patient after you make a mistake?!? UNBELIEVABLE!

I called Ideal Services because we were having ac issues. The fan would not turn on but while on the phone the unit began running so the rep offered to send a technician to provide a diagnostic test on the unit the next day. My ac stopped working shortly thereafter. The next day, the technician arrived. He put a screwdriver in the fan and turned the fan and said immediately it was a motor and bearing problem and the cost would be $ 800. He didn’t explain how he came to this conclusion by simply sticking a screw driver in the fan so my husband said forget it. I spoke with Romero later on and he said that there is a spot in the fan that you can stick a screwdriver into and if it moves freely or there’s resistance, it tells you there’s a problem with the bearings and/​or motor? I appreciate the additional information but you can’t throw numbers around and expect the customer to be agreeable without explanation. $ 800 is a lot of money and what if it was something else? With a complete diagnostic test, shouldn’t we have received a list of other things that the unit may have issues?
We will not be contacting Ideal again.

Unreal is all I can say. This has to be one of the worst contractors I’ve ever done business with and I’m a real estate investor. I called my home warranty to fix the hot water heater. I explained that everytime the heater gets turned past vacation, the pilot goes out. Ideal services comes out 2days later. Guy shows up, complains about the stuff in front of the water heater (it’s still accessible) tells me it’s a valve then leaves. SHOCKER! That didn’t fix it. So then it’s almost a week before they can get back, they say the tech will call 20−30min before arrival. Guy calls says he’s 10min out shows up in 3 (I was a block away picking my daughter up from school and on my way back. He decides not to wait even 5min. I literally pass him leaving my community. What a pathetic excuse for a company they’re a joke!

I had Ideal Services through my home warranty. Electrician, George, explained the problem and replaced wall switch. This was the 2^nd time George repaired the problems. He is always polite and very professional! I’m happy with him.

Alex from Ideal Services just left and he did an amazing job. He was very professional and courteous! Problem solved!!! I am a very happy customer and will recommend Ideal Services to my friends and family because of Alex’s great customer service!!!

This is my first one star rating I have ever given. I cannot believe the service I have received. I moved into our house on Friday, went to start my washer on a Monday and it began to leak from under the wall. I called my home warranty people. They told me not to worry they would send out a company to look at the leak and we will get all of this taken care of. 05/​12/​2016 Ideal sends out this technician by the name of George or Jorge…
Jorge came into the house, he was very rude. He was very condescending from the start of our conversation. He already seemed like I am taking time out of his busy day to do me a favor. He asks me where the leak is and I show him. He tells me he can’t get to where the leak is and to remove the stuff, he has his ear bud in his ear from the phone and starts talking to someone while I take a door off, move the washer and dryer away from the wall with my step daughter. Didn’t even offer to help?
Before Jorge even looked at a leak, he tells me the washer box is too low and out of code and that will need to be brought up to code after repair. I ask him to look at the leak. He says «are you sure its not leaking from the washer?» I told him it does not, it leaks from under the wall. He proceeds to start the washer on rinse and drain cycle and gets back on the phone with someone on his ear bud. I know for a fact that Jorge or George didn’t do anything with the leak because when he began his paperwork there was no water from underneath the wall.
Jorge tells me that I have a cracked drain pipe or something (or something… smh), he has to open the wall and if he does and fixes the leak they need to move the washer box up to code to 48 inches. He says that the total amount will be the $ 75 deductible and $ 250 to raise the box to code and he begins to leave. I asked him if they are going to fix the leak and he says «not today and laughs» He says he doesn’t have the parts and hasn’t gotten approval from home warranty. I asked him to call and he says they will take 45 minutes to respond and he doesn’t have time to get approval. He will call me later. I told him I have 6 kids living at the house and laundry piles up and I need this done asap. He calls the warranty people. He tells them the box is out of code and that he needs to get into the wall to fix the leak. He tells them it is one hour work time. They talk for a while and then he gets back on the phone with who is in his ear bud and tells them he will call them back later.
He tells me I have to call warranty. I asked him for the «code» that explains I have to move my washer box up to 48 inches from the Pea Trap. He says he doesn’t have the plumber code book, its at the office. I asked him how then can he reference a code. He told me to call the office. He leaves and I measure the washer box, its 30 inches from this pea trap. I measure how high 48 inches is and it is two inches above my front loading washer. That didn’t seem right.
I call Ashley at Ideal Services and she told me there is no plumber code book, that it is a city code. She told me that if a city inspector entered my home that my house has to be up to code. She gave me a UPC number 804 and told me to look it up with the city. I asked again how can you reference a code if you don’t have it. She said the Technicians just know… I call my home inspection person, who tells me that my house was built during a time when the code stated my washer box should be at 30 inches but this code they are referencing is for new construction.
I called a plumber. He confirmed that I am grandfathered in at 30 inches. That I do not have to move the box up to 48 inches, everyone in Las Vegas is trying to make a dollar and my plumbing company doesn’t make much money on home warranty service calls. He told me to have someone come out and give me a second opinion. I did what he told me and decided not to use ideal.
on 05/​13/​2016 Ashley from ideal calls me to confirm when they are coming out to service the leak. She said Jorge/​George confirmed that washer box has to be at 32 (now its 32 inches?) from the pea trap. I told her my washer box was 30 inches and I am grandfathered in. She said well that is what you have to have if you want it fixed. Goerge/​jorge tells me 48 inches initially, then Ashley says 32 inches what is it?
UPC code 804.1 initially in 2000 universal plumbing «no less then 18 inches and no more then 30 inches». I reviewed the amendments in 2006, 2009 and 2012, doesn’t mention 48 inches or 32 inches unless there is something I’m not reading… either way I’ve been told by 2 plumbers and my home inspection team the box doesn’t need to be moved…
Wont be using Ideal…

This was the worst service I have ever had!!! They flooded my home with water and tried to blame it on me when I wasn’t even home! They made like ten holes and also burned my wall! Now my carpet is destroyed which since it was there fault it should have been changed or at least washed! On top of everything they didn’t even fix the problem now I’m stuck with a bill, holes in all my walls, and the dirtiest carpet. Would not recommend them at all!!!

I would give zero if I could. Couldn’t fix a leaky faucet, said they didn’t have time to hunt for parts. They can’t keep an appointment window and won’t take their shoes off when they enter your home.

Avoid Ideal. My home warranty uses them for electrical.
They didn’t bother calling me when my warranty notified them I had a claim.
I called them after about two hours and they thought they were doing a fine job.
They gave me a four-​hour block for my appointment. They finally called 3 hours and 42 minutes into the block and showed up five minutes after the four-​hour block had ended.
My porch light is in a relatively protected, enclosed area. The guy at Lowe’s insisted my indoor bulbs are fine for it. The fixture has blown out three bulbs. The «electrician» insists it’s the bulbs’ fault, that I need an outdoor-​rated bulb. But I’m the one who has to go back to Lowe’s and tell the guy there that he’s wrong.
They didn’t fix anything. They wanted $ 140 to change two light bulbs and $ 125 to change an electrical outlet from which my hair dryer keeps falling out. I will be having this work done, and I will pay for it – I just won’t be using Ideal.
Of course, they took the $ 75 warranty deductible in addition to quoting the $ 140 and $ 125 to actually do something.
Definitely avoid Ideal.

Excellent service from Ideal Services! My home warranty uses this company for repairs. From the lady who set up my appointment to the service man who fixed our plumbing problem, everyone was very professional and polite. Ozzy called me several times before my set appointment time and since reading the Unilocal reviews that they would cancel my appointment if I did not answer I kind of freaked out. I immediately called back and said I was not yet home and said my appointment was not for another 30 mins but Ozzy insured that he was not canceling my appointment just was done early with another appointment and wanted to head over early. He arrived 15 mins after I got home and within 30 mins had our plumbing issue resolved. No complaints from me. Excellent service from a friendly guy!

I created a Unilocal account today just to make sure that people can be aware that this is a TERRIBLE company. This company was employed by my home warrantee company.
Here’s the situation: I have a bad receiver on my fan. To buy the receiver would cost me $ 75. To use the home warrantee to have a company come out and replace the receiver was supposed to cost me $ 60. Therefore, I chose to have the company come out.
I phoned the company ahead of time to tell them the receiver needed to be replaced and to inform them of the receiver’s make and model. The person who had answered the phone for the company took down all of that information and told me that a technician would come out some time between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday to replace the receiver. So far, so good.
However, Saturday day came and a technician did not show up between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Therefore, I called the company to see why a technician had not shown up as scheduled and to see when I could expect to actually get serviced. The receptionist told me that she could not give me an answer to either of those two questions as the technician who was supposed to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM was not answering his phone. Finally, at 12:40 PM, the technician showed up to my home. At least now I was getting the receiver replaced. Or so I thought.
The technician took apart my fan and proceeded to inform me that the receiver was bad. Wasn’t that exactly what I had told the company earlier in the week? He then proceeded to tell me that his company only replaces one make and model of receiver; he would not be able to replace mine. A company that fixes fans can only replace one make and model of receiver! He explained to me that his company doesn’t want to put in the effort to actually order receivers for people. He said, «Sometimes I have to look at 5 or 6 fans a day. Think about how much work that would be if I had to order multiple receivers a day». Incredible.
He said his company’s policy is to replace a person’s whole fan with a very cheap fan. So, let me get this straight. For $ 60 I can upgrade my high quality fan to a low quality fan? I was waiting for him to add that his company could take away my high quality fan for free.
The worst part of this whole experience is that the company could have just told me all of this over the phone so that I did not have to wait for this technician from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on a Saturday. The technician admitted that he had in fact received all of the information on my receiver from a company receptionist earlier in the week, but that he still came out because he had forgotten about it all. He tried to excuse himself by shifting the blame to the receptionists who should have known their own company’s policies and who should have informed me of the policy at the time I had originally called. He continued to explain to me how uniformed his company’s receptionists are. Can you say «dysfunctional»? How about «unprofessional»?
I believe the technician knew how useless he was because on the sheet where he was attempting to actually charge me the $ 60, he didn’t put his whole name. He just signed it «J».
AVOID this company. Choose a company that will take down your receiver’s make and model and actually order that receiver for you. Choose a company where departments actually communicate with other departments. Choose a company that actually takes pride in their business. What a first Unilocal review.
P. S. I considered writing «TERRIBLE experience» rather than «Terrible company». That was until I saw how many other people on Unilocal have also had terrible experiences. TERRIBLE company.

Horrible customer service! Made appointment four days ago to service A/​C unit for house. No show! Why, because «Danielle their dispatcher» said that you must answer a phone call from them 10 – 15 prior to the technician showing up otherwise they cancel the appointment.
That is their policy! WOW, dumb me for not spending hours and days researching their operational/​business practices and policies prior to agreeing to a 4 hour window appointment.
Oh yeah, while trying to explain this to «Danielle» their dispatcher she hung up on me.
One star is far to generous!
