Came back a second time for a eye pad replacement and adjustment.
Sadly I stepped on the mans glasses and bent them. *SMH* We had good luck the first time so we came back. He has very expensive fames and wanted the plastic nose pieces back when the service was done. He asked for this in advance. When we came back to pick them up the pads were nowhere in site. We asked about them, they went back into the back room they were gone for a bit and I angled myself to peer in. They were digging through the trash looking for them. She came back up front and said «you never asked for them and they are gone» My man said «we just saw you searching throughout the trash looking for them and now you are going to come to me and blame me?!»
It is not a huge deal for us not to have those pads but it is a big deal when someone makes a mistake, then turns to the person they made a mistake for and blames them instead of taking responsibility for the mistake they made. It is a huge problem in modern times.
Accountability
For that they have lost a customer.

Been meaning to get a couple minor fixes done on a pair of glasses, that I haven’t been able to wear for months. Went today and was in and out within 10 minutes. They popped one frame back in for free and only charged $ 12 for new pads on the other.
Great place.

My wife has a pair of cheap prescription sunglasses that are ½ frame in style. I broke the nylon line that secures the bottom half of the lens to the frame. Thinking that these folks would be able to fix them for a fair price, I went there & the gal informed me that the repair would cost $ 45. I was willing to go as far as $ 20 for a simple repair like that, but she informed me that $ 45 was their minimum charge for repairs. Needless to say, I took the glasses back home & fixed them myself using some 12lb fishing line & a bic lighter. Maybe they should change their name to Price Fixer from Frame Fixer.

I’m glad this service exists, and it’s quick and friendly, but for what I needed done, I found it overpriced and incomplete– took in a pair of glasses after the arm fell off. I originally took them to my optometrist to repair, who said he needed a double-​handed hinge tool in order to fix them, which he did not have. I found Frame Fixer on Unilocal.
At Frame Fixer, my glasses were looked at briefly and I was told the screw had broken inside the hinge. The charge was $ 45 (which seems to be their flat repair rate?) and told to pick them up a few days later. The paint has faded on my frames and developed a white, cloudy haze– I asked if anything could be done about this and was told they would make note.
Fast-​forward to Thursday, I pick up my frames from a less-​friendly employee who basically took my name, handed me my glasses, and thanked me. I felt rushed, but asked about the paint issue. Her brusque response was a short, «Your frames are old and wearing out.» She again thanked me, clearly done interacting. I was the only customer.
For nearly $ 50 for a very small repair, the arm is back on my frames and that’s about it. The screw wasn’t put in tight, so the arms are still quite flimsy, defeating the point of having them repaired. I had hoped for some insight or suggestions about the fading paint issue, but feel that once my money was taken, the bare minimum was done. The service I received was completely different (and not in a good way) than that referenced in the other, shining reviews– it feels like a totally different store.

Horrible service!!! I went there to see if I can get a replacement screw for a pair of sunglasses. All the lady kept telling me is that they couldn’t do anything to fix it because there was super glue residue on there and that it wouldn’t set correctly. I told her that if she sold me the screw, I’ll replace it. She said she was sorry that it’ll take time to find the right screw. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing!!! I am willing to buy the screw from them and do it myself, yet, they wouldn’t take the time to find the screw that fits because there were super glue residue on it? Unbelievable and very poor customer service. Recommend shutting down and go work for McDonald’s. — A very upset customer!

If there was a rating of a negative star they would get a –6 had them add nose rest to my wife’s glass at a cost of 110.00 when we wet back to pick them up the blond lady the gave the glass to us was vary rude my wife ask if they guaranteed they’re work.
She said there no if they break it is not there problem my wife then start to ask another question and the lady said I’m not finished talking!!!
This is about the most on professional attitudes for a company to have.
By the way the blond was out front smoking when we arrived there was a homeless lady close by and it was hard to tell which person was homeless.
So if you chose to got the just look for the blond that dress like a homeless person.

my gf broke my glasses, so i took em in here. the frame was cracked, so they told me they could laser weld it and itd take a couple days to fix, or they could replace the frames altogether and recut the lenses in 45 mins — 1 hr. obviously, i chose to replace the frames, and they had it done in about 35 mins and only charged $ 89.99 for the frames w/​recutting the lenses bein included, which came out to $ 97.24 including the tax. Theyre affordable, fast, and extremely friendly. I highly recommend them!

Amazing experience! I came in a few days ago, desperately seeking a shop that specialized in fixing frames. I accidentally bent one of the legs on my favorite pair of glasses, which are no longer made or sold. I was promptly greeted by Brittany. After explaining what happened, she took a look and said she would try her best to fix it. She was completely honest and told me that the part was so delicate, it could possibly break in the process. At this point no one in town was able to fix them so I went ahead. 10 minutes later she came out with my glasses completely fixed! She was nice enough not to charge me. I am so happy I came here, Brittany is amazing and I couldn’t be any happier with my experience. I actually gave her a hug I was so grateful.

Being the father of a teenage boy who wears eye glasses, translates to unfortunate repairs and prescriptions that change every year or two.
I 1^st sought this place out by referral of my optometrist and was hesitant of driving 20 miles each way to this location, but the drive has proven well worth it EVERY occasion and if they moved further away, I would drive further to patronize them.
Since then, several years ago, I have returned to purchase new eye glasses, repairs, sunglasses, etc. and have ALWAYS had an enjoyable experience making me feel comfortable enough to write this review and refer others to them.
Frame Fixer is family owned and operated for something like the past 60 or so years here in Las Vegas. Most businesses can’t last 5 years, so the amount of time this business has been open; should clearly make a statement of credibility of its own.
Everybody here is friendly. The store is always clean.
I usually work with a young lady named Brittany who listens really well to customer needs, offers options based on those needs, is a fun conversationalist, has great patience with kids and picky parents too, LOL. Most importantly, Brittany offers exceptional customer service that brings me back again and again for repeat business!
As I understand it, most of the repair work is done on premise. The quality of the craftsmanship, whether brand new eye glasses or a simple repair, are always top notch, with quick turn around times.
Product selection for new frames is excellent for kids and adults too! Additionally, they offer several options to help with lens clarity and eye protection.
I am firm believer in the concept «you get what you pay for» and believe the prices here are very fair.
Frame Fixer is located in the corner of a retail strip mall at the SW corner of Charleston and Valley View, a few doors down from M&M Soul Food; which serves delicious sweet tea!

Cost to repair the temple on my glasses is ridiculously pricey at $ 85, and I still have to wait several days before it’s ready? Not worth it! Go somewhere else

I would not recommend this optician to anyone! I spent$ 1200.00 on 2pair of sunglasses and one pair had to be sent back and redone and then, 6 months later when I needed to change one lens for a specific activity, they failed to return my original lens and by the time I realized it several days later they had thrown my property away. Opticians have always returned my lenses, always. I can forgive all that… but today I took my $ 800.00 pair of Pravda sunglasses back for a new prescription and they turned my business away because I was an unhappy customer.
Quite the business practice! Apparently they only want customers they can treat shabbily with impunity.

Sat on my glasses in my hotel room. I searched for help on Unilocal and wow!, There was a shop whose name is the very service I needed.
I went there the next morning. I was greeted by a very sweet optician. She said come back in one hour. The result was perfect. The price was fair. I love Frame Fixer!

Got my glasses fixed for (what I thought was) very little money. They are so nice and the turnaround time is FAST. Have used them twice on different pairs of glasses and the work was perfect both times. Highly recommend.

Yea, break your glasses on your first day of vacation… Don’t waste any time on this, just find Frame Fixer… They go out of their way to deliver more than they promise… it’s not just a sign hanging in their shop, it’s the way they do business! Great people… $ 20 cab ride from strip… Don’t fret… just go. Fixed and on my way in less than an hour. Good job!

I went into this store because I had purchased a pair of louis vuitton pair of sunglasses off ebay (paid $ 600 for them) and once I received them they were broken. I took them in to get repaired and she informed me that they were fake. I just wanted to say thank you so much for having a knowledgeable staff because if it wasnt for them I would have been scammed out of $ 600.

This place is a scam. they will refuse service to you if you look a certain way. My mother had a very bad experience here. Personally have been here several times and will never do business because not only are they unethical but dishonest. AVOID there are better places in Vegas for you eye glasses. I would strongly AVOID both places. Save yourself the headache time and money. You will be happy you did.

I made the mistake to ask somebody at the Walmart eyeglass store if they could repair my broken eyeglasses. They said that they could replace a screw but not more. Yeah, I can replace a screw too… I am old enough to remember the time when you could get free help in an eyeglass store or jewelry store regardless where you bought your stuff. But Walmart obviously has a policy to direct people to an overpriced dealer if you did not buy your glasses or watch at Walmart. I had fallen for that scam once when I needed a new battery for my expensive Swiss watch and a link removed from my watchband. Unfortunately I did not ask the jeweler how much it cost and ended up paying 25 Dollar for five minutes of work. I am certainly never going to go into that jewelry store again, so much for attracting business.
This time the employee at the eyeglass store at Walmart gave me a flyer for the Frame Fixer. I took my glasses there. I was immediately told that repair was too difficult. One of the temples was broken off. Well, I remember that my parents had that problems sometimes and the optometrist they saw was always able to fix it. Well, the good old days…
The lady immediately offered to sell me new frames, but I like my frames and I do not like the frames which seem to be in fashion at the moment and are available everywhere. It seems like nobody is willing to repair anything anymore. But then please so not advertise that repair is your speciality

Writing this review on behalf of my mother. She had to get her glasses repaired and took them in, they tried to sell her a new pair of frames but she just wanted them fixed since her insurance would be updated in a few weeks.
She dropped them off and came back to find they broke her already broken glasses and just offered her a refund or to purchase new frames from them. Really?! No discount or apology. The Manager was super argumentative with her and yelled at her many times in front of other people. My mom just wanted some kind of discount for their mistake. The lady just kept telling her it’s not their problem and that’s all she can do.
My mom said she was planning on leaving a bad review and the lady laughed at her and said she doesn’t care, it won’t hurt them.
This is horrible, they are trying to take advantage of older people. Now my mom is out of glasses for a few weeks because the ones they broke are beyond repair.

While visiting Las Vegas this summer, I needed to get 1 nose pad replaced on my glasses. I had it replaced while at home but apparently they did not secure it properly and out it came again. So I found Frame Fixer on the internet and the Unilocal reviews were pretty good, so I went! They charged me $ 15 for a nose pad! Really? I paid nothing at home, in Michigan, and have had nose pads replaced many times over the years with no charge … EVER! But, I had no choice, so I paid the $ 15. They did make sure they had tightened the small space that hold’s the pad, which was great. Then I noticed that my lens, which is a drill mounted lens as my frames are rimless, was coming apart. They told me it was from wear, which may very well be the case. However, they offered me no solution or possible repair other then to pinch the lens back towards the frame. That did not secure my lens at all, and during our Las Vegas stay, which was several weeks, I had to constantly pinch the lens to the frame, and hope it did not fall apart as I do need the glasses to see, obviously… Once at home, I went to the place I have found here and they said, with no hesitation … that I needed a new «plug». They did it in minutes and my glasses are like new again. The charge… NOTHING!
Oh and as an added thought … Frame Fixer carries the Silhouette frames that I am wearing and when asking the price for new ones, I was told $ 379! Here, at this business, that does not charge me for minor repairs … they are $ 305 and … they offer an online coupon for $ 50 off and give the discount whether you bring in the coupon or not! Hence the price locally would be $ 255 for the same frame that Frame Fixer wants $ 379 for! Would I go back to Frame Fixer when in Las Vegas? Doubtful! Just not happy with the charges and agree with other reviewer’s, that they try and do, scam people.

I have had to take my sunglasses here three times. All three times they have managed to fix them, the last time I was expecting to be laughed out of the store when I deposited my mangled wreck on their counter.
I have been charged $ 30 each time and see it as money well spent.
The shopping center may look a little grubby however rest assured the service here is anything but.
