Epic Association Management

Wish I didn’t even have to give a star. WARNING to all people shopping around for a community managers do not waste your time with this one unless you like to be belittle, insulted, scream at, bullied, lied to, disrespected, and like to have your home look like it belongs to section 8. Not to mention the most recent sneaky event that Tonya gale has done, was type a 2 page letter at her office full of lies and slander about two board members, which are the only two with integrity, and have her peps going around posting them on doors while we were all attending the HOA meeting. She lied about it at first then finally admit to it and yes its on audio recording. Instead of trying to bring a community together Tonya has done NOTHING positive but try and destroy this place. what happened to the good old days when people took pride in their work and business. who tells residents that the board and herself do NOT represent the owners, honey with out owners you wouldn’t have properties to manage… residents would be forgiving and less upset if Tonya decided to make the right choices to benefit the community that WE pay her to do and stopped making up her own rules and fines violations! Let she what more lies she will use to respond to all these posts!

In her very first HOA Board meeting back in November, 2015, the owner of this company, Tonya Gale, yelled and disrespected one of our homeowners. What a terrible way to get acquainted with the people who care about their community! In the same meeting, she told us she doesn’t care what has happened within our community in the past. Extremely unprofessional and has a lot to learn about communicating with people.
It gets worse. In our HOA meeting this past saturday, it was found out that she helped write a two page scathing, disrespectful, deceit filled, letter to every door in our neighborhood. In it, she threw two of our HONEST board directors under the bus with false accusations and lies. What’s worse, the letter was secretly being placed on everyone’s doors WHILE WE WERE AT our meeting.
It was also learned that our Board President also has confidential meetings with the community manager without notifying any other Board member!
So far she has done nothing but hurt our village, sending out dozens, perhaps hundreds, of letters threatening fines for trivial things that are not even in our CCRs or Rules and Regs.

Epic spearheaded an underhanded, unprofessional, slam toward two of our board members of DCV that she is supposed to represent neutrally. She corroborated with the president to print and deliver a letter against 2 of 5 of our board and it was delivered to the houses during our HOA board meeting! Sneaky, underhanded, and biased. Would you want a CM working for your HOA who did this? Since HOA meetings are recorded by law, just order a copy of 1−30−16 DCV meeting from Epic and listen to the end when it became an issue of bias and unprofessionalism, because somebody came into the meeting with the letter that was delivered during the meeting. Epic admitted to printing the letter!

Honestly, I believe Epic is a poor example of a Management Company. The owner of the company likes to point out that they «only managed Lamplight Square for 5 months». Which was 5 months too long. Her lack of education is disheartening.
The look of our entire community was altered due to her and a TWO member board. Her and the board members SIGNED A LENGTHY (in which they did not even seem to understand, when questioned about the terms) contract with the water district, in which the grass that they had POISONED and RIPPED OUT (without notifying owners of the chemicals being spread) can not be replaced for quite sometime. The owner of the company even got a news crew to come out so she could boast about the «upgrades they were doing» BEFORE EVEN NOTIFYING THE OWNERS THERE WOULD BE A VOTE ON THE MATTER. How can she bring a news crew out to film our community and talk about matters that had not even been voted on, as if they already had? It’s incredibly shady.
I asked for the gate at the pool to be changed for safety purposes, because two locks (one inside and the other out) is overkill. She proceeded to tell me it was a county regulation. Hmmm… okay. So, low and behold I look into the matter of county regulations on community pools. Nowhere does it state two locks are required. Again, another lie and I called her out at the next meeting. You know what I got? A deer in headlights, no response. I guess she was shocked that I took the time to investigated her claims. Eventually, the gate on the pool was changed, funny how we could do that with (according to her) county regulations.
The landscaping company that was hired is a sham. All the workers do is stand around for hours and do nothing, but then doing nothing is better than the work they provide. Bushes are lope-​sided, homes have been cut into, and piles of debris just left out. Not to mention they even sexually harassed and owner outside her home. When approached none of the workers (mysteriously) speak a word of English yet seem to figure it out (again, mysteriously) when you begin speaking Spanish.
When numerous owners finally took a stand against the bs the board and management company were pulling they were met with unprofessionalism and crude remarks by BOTH the board and the management company. All you are met with is inconstant, rude, and utterly dumbfounding Mis-​truths. I don’t think this Management Company has any idea that people can find out the truth so easily. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for a Management company. This one will only leave you pulling your hair out in aggravation..

The owner lacks knowledge and professionalism. She speaks to residents in rude and unprofessional way advises board to do things poorly. Would highly recommend a different company to manage your HOA unless you would like your community to look like section 8 housing
