We love this place. My daughter and myself are dairy free and we get the sorbet when they have the liquid nitrogen and when they are out we get the slushies. Great to have a place to get a treat.

Alright so I must admit that walking up to the door with a sign stating they would be back in 15 was not the highlight of my night. I actually came back because I wanted to see what the hoop la was about.
When I came back the guy working the counter was back from break and smiling. I am not sure if he was supposed to close the store but I’ll leave that up to the business owner.
I tried the blueberry cheesecake pop which was packed with flavor. I also had a bite of the Madagascar vanilla and that was delicious. At $ 5.00 a pop, I would expect the portion to be a tad bigger. The size that the pops were I would priced them at about $ 3.5. That being said, I may still return and try some other flavors but I would not make it a routine.

Shave Ice
I tried shave ice here. It was 5 $ (4.99 to be precise). And it was worth about 2 $ really. Max.
Honestly, that would be pushing it. They don’t even have coconut.

They should be paying me to eat this shit. No coconut! No coconut? No fucking coconut! Is this real life? Well … is it? No coconut? Shave ice … and … no coconut? No coconut! I should have just one-​starred them then and there and never set foot anywhere near that metal box again.

Shave Ice Redux
I ask how I can get coconut on the shave ice … (at the time I imagine ordering supplies from Hawai’i and then carrying them in my satchel, ordering ice without any fucking flavour, and then sitting in one of those tables outside next to all the annoying children and pouring the goddamn coconut myself) … and they explain to me that it could be via some other cream or something — I don’t know (I am not even drunk; these people …) — it is perplexing because anyone can go to Smart & Final® and buy the damn coconut syrup. I say sure. Whatever.
Not what I expected. Maybe I am just far too accustomed to the traditional Hawai’ian shave ice. I get the biggest cup and a paleta and it comes out to 10 $. Worth 5 $ max. Maybe 5.50 $, on account of the high rent paid to the Cult Leader and all.

Shave Ice 3.0
Perhaps I should look up the revised definition for masochist whenever the new DSM is published because I am thinking about going again. Maybe make it a hat trick and all so I can pull out the mighty one-​star and a lot more expletives* in a revised review a year from today.

Epilogue
I don’t play games when it comes to shave ice. I did not live in Hawai’i for longer than 95% of the useless carpetbaggers end up staying in this town for nothing. Do it right or don’t do it at all. Get some goddamn coconut …

Rating: Two-​stars, «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» (And 2s because I am truly a really nice guy. I should have one-​starred this establishment.)

Good popsicle in the container park, first floor. They rotate their flavors everyday so you get to try new ones every time you stop in.
They use real fruit flavors and you can really taste it in their Popsicles. The watermelon literally taste like you’re eating a watermelon. It was little heavy handed on the sugar but it was still quite delicious, especially on a cold Vegas day.
They’re $ 4 bucks a pop, so it’s on the pricey side, but definitely give it a try, they don’t taste like other pops with concentrated juice and whatnot.

the halo halo is THEE best.
the only con — come earlier in the day, each visit we’ve encounter sold out items; boba and ube pop. (the reason we visit!) I’m assuming they’re popular.

Been a wanting to try this place out and was alittle bummed. They only have certain popsicle flavors everyday ready made. I really wanted to try their white chocolate raspberry brownie pop but they didn’t have it during my visit. I instead tried their guava pop and it was really refreshing, good, and natural. But hopefully I can try what I was really craving for the next time i’m in Vegas. Also checkin for 10% off :)

We stopped by here for dessert and we weren’t really sure what to expect. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly employee that was very helpful.
My husband chose the shaved ice. The portion was twice the size of the cup. They provide the ice and then the flavors are on the wall so that you can choose your own flavors and how much you want. They welcome you to come back for more flavor if you don’t get enough on the first shot.
I had the Blueberry Cheesecake SasaPop which is a graham center surrounded by blueberry cheesecake gelato. I’m not a big cheesecake fan, but this was so creamy and decadent. I absolutely loved it. As we were paying we were told that they have a flavor guarantee so if I hadn’t absolutely loved the pop I could have traded it for something else. How cool is that?

This is an awesome place to check out when it’s too damn hot to be outside and you just want something cold. There’s no ice cream here, so keep that in mind if that’s what you’re craving.
I ended up getting one of the dessert bars, and was pretty happy about it. It was a white chocolate raspberry brownie. I don’t know where the brownie part was, but the white chocolate raspberry was delish!
I’d come check this place out again and try more flavors. It was good!

I’ve been to Container Park several times. But today was the first time I’ve tried The Chill Spot. I didn’t get to catch the name of the guy serving us, but he was very helpful. He described the Halo Halo dessert perfectly, and also added the fun fact that the recipe is from the shop owner’s Lola (grandmother).
I was unsure at first what to order, so he gave his suggestions. I went with the strawberry green tea with cream and boba, and it was delicious. The taste was a cross between tea and ice cream. Just wish there was less ice and more of the yummy drink. I thought that I couldn’t leave without trying one of their pops as well so I ordered the White Chocolate Raspberry Brownie pop. You could taste the brownie’s richness, which was nicely balanced by the tart raspberry. Those two flavors stood out over the white chocolate, but it was entirely satisfying to my sweet tooth. I’d definitely go back to have some more!

Love this place. Everything is perfect during the summer.

I love me some good olé icy shaved ice and this placed delivered. Here at the container park is CHILL SPOT a «cool» little no tiny spot that dishes out awesome pops and the shaviest of all shaved ice.
The store itself is super tiny with about enough room to fit 5 or six adults crammed into the front enough to order your stuff and get out. The home made pops offers a variety of fun flavorful and tasty flavors and they even have adult pops infused with alcohol as well very awesome. The prices are fair about for gourmet pops. The shaved ice is so fluffy it makes for the best treat in the hot summer heat or anytime really. I love the branding of their store front but inside is non existence. My favorite part is that they have a syrup bar so that you can flavor your own shaved ice or snow cone however and how much you like. I will definitely be back when I am at the container park!

Located in Container Park in Downtown LV, Chillspot is offering up sweets and treats that help people beat the heat in this soul-​breaking 100+ degree weather. Chillspot can be easy to miss because it’s tucked directly behind the elevator. My husband and I decided to stop in and check out the menu. The menu is surprisingly diverse and dare I say, eccentric. A coconut slushie with boba? Why not? My husband’s thirst was quenched — mission accomplished. The girl working the register was super friendly. It was around $ 6 for his drink. I’d come back to try the ice cream or frozen popsicles on a warm sunny day.

OMGOSH YES. I absolutely love their popsicles AKA SasaPops. One taste and I was hooked. They have a spot in Downtown Container Park that’s a bit hidden behind the elevator bank/​clock tower, but they also roll out a cart.
During the Life is Beautiful Festival last October, the cart was out and that’s how I discovered these wonderful treats. Ruben and I shared a Blueberry Cheesecake and a Vegan Mango/​Guava. Delicious. The dessert pops are a little heartier, but the Vegan fruit pops are refreshing and light.
My second visit was to the shop. Since the flavors are always changing, there’s no list, but the staff is more than happy to show you all the pops available. I opted for the Mango and my friend got Lychee/​Lemon/​Lime. Both were so, so good and even better was the Li Hing powder available for your frozen treats. Just amazing.
Their award-​winning frozen pops are made with real fruit and just a touch of organic sugar. Bonus: no stabilizers, gums, fillers, starches, preservatives, added colors or added flavors.
FYI: SasaPops are approximately $ 5−6/each.

Met Joe and Sasa herself… very nice people who believe in the quality of their products. The mango and fudge popsicles were very good and not too sweet. The halo halo was full of fresh coconut, jackfruit, corn and topped with delicious condensed milk. So refreshing to enjoy «healthy» while sweets that weren’t made with corn syrup and other additives.

Walking along Fremont Street, definitely pop into ChillSpot for a cool refreshing treat in the Container Park. We randomly found this place and were so happy that we did! Apparently they have won awards for their popsicles and they are known for their creative desserts.
Hubs had the white chocolate, raspberry, brownie popsicle, and I had a boba iced coffee. Both were great and just what we needed on a 95-​degree day. The boba was perfectly chewy and not stale at all. They ask for your sweetness level so you can adjust drinks to your own tastes. We were drooling over the Halo Halo, but ultimately decided it would be too much for us for a midday snack. Maybe next time! Save your receipt for 10% off your next purchase!

This place is hidden in the caverns of Container Park. But once you find it, you’ll feel like you just completed a level on Tomb Raider set to expert mode.
I’m a certified coffee junkie, I like to drink it at all hours of the day. So after a brief meeting in downtown and a shopping spree at Kappa Toys, my energy levels had greatly decreased. As I checked-​out of Kappa Toys, the fella behind the counter noticed my sluggish demeanor and mentioned that I’ll get 10% off my coffee purchase at ChillSpot with my receipt. Yay for caffeine & discounts!
I walked through the Container Park trying find the elusive coffee spot, when a beacon of angelic light bounced off a window and blinded me, as my eyes refocused there it was, «ChillSpot By SasaSweets». Right behind the elevator, in probably one of the smaller locations in Container park.
They not only does this place offer coffee both Iced and hot, the also have boba drinks, shaved iced, and ice cream made with liquid nitrogen… Science! Chill Spot will be the got-​to-​hot-​spot in Container Park during the many warm months here in Vegas.
Back to me… I ordered a basic iced coffee with some type Thai flavored cream instead of my usual nonfat milk, with the worker’s suggestion. The guy behind the counter offers it to me and says, «Try it, if you don’t like, I’ll make you another one. No Charge». I tried, I liked it, I bought it. The drink wasn’t overly sweet and the cream wasn’t super thick, a nice change from the normal iced coffee companion. The larger cost me $ 3, not bad considering I pay around the same amount at the BUX.
This place not only offer solid drinks, but their customer service is stellar! Next time I’m at Container Park, it’s boba time!

Located in the Fremont Street, Downtown Container Park this small shop touts having the best gourmet ice cream Popsicles in America.
Chipotle pineapple bar was the flavor I sampled to put their claim to the test. The yellow fruit bar was dusted in a chipotle chili powder and the whole thing reminded me of a sophisticated Mexican Candy.
It was a cold, wintery evening, when I indulged in my treat, but I can imagine that the Popsicles would be extremely satisfying during the hot Vegas summers.

There seemed to be no containing the enthusiasm of the staff at this little shaved ice shop. It wasn’t super hot out the day that we headed downtown to container park for a little ChillSpot.
Here you get to make your own «snowcone». I wasn’t really interested in that so I just let my daughter get what she wanted and I got the mango purée. It worked out nicely. Well nicely until it fell on the ground right outside of the door. I felt like I was in an Eddie Murphy comedy bit. One second I am all happy with my cold treat and the next I am super bummed it’s on the ground. Thankfully no neighbor kids were around to sing song at me.
Anyway just my like the head honcho of the place was just coming in the door and saw it happen. He totally hooked me up with replacement mango. That’s customer service!
Super friendly in a really small place. I would hate to see how busy this place gets during the hotter days of the year!
Tip.they have a minimum for credit purchases.

Gourmet popsicles are a good idea in the Vegas heat, and the sweet service to match can’t be beat! In addition to popsicles, the menu includes slushes, frozen smoothies, boba beverages, ice creams and ices, and halo-​halo, along other goodies.
I love that the treats aren’t too sugary, and the frozen fruit pops are my favorite: the staff favorite is a blackberry lemon that I have had more than once. Alcoholic pops are available on Fridays and Saturdays, kind of bummed that I haven’t been able to try a dessert pop as they look great but don’t seem to be in stock when I visit.
Slightly hidden behind the ground-​floor elevator, this place is about the size of a closet and I can see it getting busy and creating a monstrous-​looking line in no time in the evenings, but it’s definitely worth a stop. $ 5 card minimum, so take cash if you’re riding solo.
