I had David as my stylist today for the first time.
AMAZING
He was very knowledgable in what he was doing and wasn’t shy to inform me. He actually cared about the state of my hair and wasn’t trying to just sell me a service or product. I’m buying all five products he used on my hair just because he was so good at what he did and my hair turned out perfect. I got a cut and treatment this time around.
I’ll be back every. single. time. to see David. Amazing cut. Can’t wait to see what he does with my color!

I have seen several of the stylist that cut here and my only advice is the more experienced the stylist the more the price but the better the cut. You do get more than just a haircut. You get a scalp and shoulder massage and hand massage during the wash. I have never been pressured to buy products.

I randomly found this gem when I first moved to Las Vegas from NC. I am a licensed massage therapist and the massage therapists at this salon are very good. If you request something they are very good about meeting your needs. I get facial treatments here, and I know I was having a period of time when I was breaking out a lot. The esthetician was very knowledgeable and gave me great tips on how to help my skin in this Las Vegas weather, and I stopped breaking out. I get my hair cut regularly here and I love the cut I get from my stylist, Tunithia. I am half Korean, half Black and she really knows how to cut and style my mixture hair. She’s the only person I allow to cut my hair here in Vegas. They have a variety of staff so you will always find what you are looking for. I highly recommend this place for all of your spa needs.

I started coming here off a friends referral. She had a color correction, cut, olaplex mask, and a style for the same price as my root touch up from a different place. Although I think $ 80 for a haircut is a bit much.
My hair is fairly long (about 10 inches), super thick (as in I feel bad for my hair ties because they stretch out after the first use), and extremely curly (strong enough that my Paul Mitchell flat iron is almost at 400 degrees and I still go over each section 4 times). Let’s just say Super Cuts does not have what it takes for this mane, and I don’t trust many people with it. David jumped right in and it took us 4 sessions (1 five inch cut, 3 color corrections) and about 12 hours total, to transform my hair from drab to fab! The issue I have is people were booking their January appointments in September. There should be a limit as to how many future appointments you can book.

I started coming to this salon about 10 months ago because it was near my old house. I decided change my hair color from blonde to red and was warned by family and friends that red would be very hard to maintain. Well, not when I have Heather on my side! She is by far the best colorist I’ve ever been to! She’s gotten me to the exact shade of red I’ve always wanted and she always recommends the best products for my hair. I see Heather every 5 weeks and it’s always a nice process that I actually look forward to. Her blow-​out also lasts three days, which is impressive with my long, thick hair! I’ve moved about 25 minutes away and still happily drive to this salon.
I haven’t had any other services here, but the reception staff is always incredibly welcoming and efficient. I always get offered a beverage upon arrival. Even when my color is setting and I’m flipping through a magazine, the owner or manager will walk around and check in with me to make sure I have everything I need. The other stylists also seem incredibly warm and friendly.

I absolutely love getting my hair colored and cut at this salon by David! He is amazing! I have long hair that reaches my waist and every time I come I try something new, but always some color variation of red. Each time I’ve visited David he immediately gets what I’m describing to him, makes suggestions based on my current color and then perfectly delivers an amazing end result! I am sure that there are lots of other amazing hairstylists at this salon, but I am so in love with my hair every time I leave David’s chair that I honestly couldn’t bring myself to sit in someone else’s. I highly recommend this salon and David Gary!

Came here on a whim for an underarm wax and they were able to accommodate me almost immediately! My waxer was full of humor and kept my mind occupied as she ripped off my unwanted hairs from under my arm. I have always had issues with pain or tickling in the past, however this time around, pain was minimized and tickling was nonexistent. Also, my waxer took the time to pluck all those stubborn baby hairs, leaving my underarms TRULY clean, unlike some other places I have been too. I will have to return and update her name for you when I can, because my girl was a PRO! :)

Fantastic service everyone here defiantly knows their craft. I’ve never had a bad time here. The first time I saw Melissa for My hair and I am picky she cut it perfectly. The next time I was treated to a 90 minute deep tissue and it were as perfect with Reika (sp?) who not only knew how to press but spoke with Me prior to assess My needs. Today I had Heather do Mt hair and color and I am hooked and will be coming here for My beauty needs from now on. Stellar.

My hair stylist is David. He is very friendly and fun! I trust him with my hair. I am a very picky person when it comes to hair stylists since my hair is very thick and coarse. He makes me look fabulous every time! I definately would recommend him. =)

Best pedicure ever! Try the cucumber pedicure with Wendy! This was the best pedicure I’ve ever had. $ 65 but trust me it’s worth it. Over an hour long and SUPER cooling and relaxing. Wendy was amazing, I definitely recommend booking with her.

I moved to Las Vegas last July and I needed a hairdresser. I had been going to an Aveda Salon in Virginia so I wanted to find one here. I found Centennial Hills Salon and Spa and found Melissa. She is the best hairdresser ever. She can do my color and highlights perfect and her haircuts are right on target. She cuts only what you tell her to. I have been to other hairdressers in the past who go crazy when they cut your hair. The salon is beautiful and everyone is very professional and courteous.
I love going there and I highly recommend it. Its very relaxing and I look forward to my appointments.

Overall, I will find it difficult to go back to Centennial Hills Salon & Day Spa because of the following:
I am writing this review with a very mixed emotions. I had always had the goal of wanting to donate my hair because I know that I have very good, thick, and healthy hair. I have also made it point over the last two years to not color my hair and let it grow out so that I can get rid of the color and have virgin hair to donate.
I called the Centennial Hills Salon & Day Spa because, since it is an Aveda salon, they would more than likely donate hair and they were also opened on a Sunday. Please keep in mind, this is the first time I have ever donated my hair. Around noon, I called the salon and was informed that my hair needed to be at least 7 inches and that the cut was free because I was donating my hair. I thought that this was great, because I am also a student. The ability to not only pay it forward but also work to may benefit was a highly desirable scenario. I was also able to set an appointment on the same day.
I went to the salon and the experience was exceptional. I was offered tasty tea, the place had a wonderful smell, and I thought that the stylist was so thoughtful and amazing. However, much to my surprise and dismay, I was charged for a service that I was informed earlier to be free. I understand if I had to pay for the extra things that are not necessarily related to the actual cutting of the hair (i.e. the shampooing and the styling), but I was not prepared for having to pay for the entire service. I also do not mind paying for a haircut, but I was really thrown off because I was informed that the cut was going to be free when I called earlier.
When I informed the receptionist that I was informed that the cut was free, both women (as there were two receptionists) looked shocked and confused. Then one of them informed me that the donation process, such as sending the hair to the company and the packaging, was free but not the hair service itself. I was so confused and taken aback. It also completely changed my overall experience. I paid the $ 45 bill without any further hesitations; however, I left the salon very confused for the following reasons:
1) With the exception of the check out, I was very happy with my stylist. I am giving this salon three stars (rather than less) because my stylist, April, was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable when I was sitting in her chair and she cut and styled my hair very well. I would be more than happy to go back to her for future services, but after my check out experience I am not sure if I would go back to establishment.
2) I don’t understand why a company would have the customer pay for the donation process or when the customer is informed «the service is free,» they should assume that «service» is the donation process. One of the receptionists at the counter informed me that some hair salons will require the customer to pay for the donation process. If that is true, I would recommend any person who reads this review to ask for details such as «what do you mean by service» and «what do you mean by free;» however, I find it unusual that such questions would be necessary.
3) I also don’t understand why a company would charge anybody to donate anything. If that is the case, I would expect (including myself) to just throw the donated object away. Charging a person to go through a process to donate anything that can easily be thrown away in a situation like a hair cut seems to defeat a simple and rather easy purpose (since hair normally grows back for that are in a position to donate their hair and the average populations seems to need a haircut) of promoting goodwill.
So now I have this personal dilemma. I really enjoyed the service that my hair stylist provided and would be more than happy to sit in her chair again. April was amazing and did an amazing job on my hair cut. I have wanted to donate my hair for a really long time. It has been a goal of mine and was really important to me, so I informed other people of how I wanted to donate my hair prior to this appointment. Now, since my cut was drastic, people are going to ask about my experience and I cannot help but to inform them that I had one expectation and received another. I will also not be able to hide my disappointment. The more I think about it and the more I tell others of my experience, I find it difficult to go back to the Centennial Hills Salon & Day Spa because, not only will I not be able to forget how one moment completely changed my entire experience, others will not let me forget it either.

I have the misfortune of being born a typical furry Latina and I have a preference towards body hair perfectionism. The struggle is real people! Lol. The first time I went to Centennial Hills Salon, I got a wax by Christina (?) and was pretty content. The second time I went in for a wax, Mallory totally fudged up the job. By fudged up, I mean she left plenty of unwanted hair behind and didn’t do a thorough job.
What’s worse, I was overcharged $ 10 for services I didn’t receive. This was Mallory’s fault for not communicating with the cashier come payment time. When I questioned the amount I payed, the poor cashier had to go back and forth with Mallory and the manager to resolve the issue. I was refunded the $ 10, but I still lost out because I tipped on the original amount and could not get refunded that part back. Which is a shame because that means the waxer received a good tip for a job done poorly. I don’t understand why I couldn’t have my erroneous transaction cancelled and then be charged for the proper amount. Or why the manager didn’t come out and apologize or handle the issue herself. Pshh.

I won’t be coming back. This place has poor communication skills and customer service needs to be improved. Wax on, Wax off beezies.
Unilocal 100 CHALLENGE 2015: #38

I was being taped for a segment on a local tv program and knew that I needed help with my makeup. My stylist, Melissa, who is THE BEST suggested that I try David for this event. What a wonderful experience. I was made to feel comfortable and I was not nervous at all. He is truly an artist and filled with heart so that the best comes out of each individual. I would highly recommend him for any and all of your makeup needs. I will be returning for future events and even to receive additional instruction on how to apply my makeup everyday so that I might look and feel my best. Thank you David!

I had David cut my hair from a Jew-​fro down to something that’s been getting compliments all around ever since he worked his magic.
I really liked the attention he gave my head. He cut with great precision and took his sweet time… no complaints here! I’m just so thrilled that I din’t have to go to Super cuts or Sports Clips again; who in the world would after coming here and meeting with David.
I’m now a regular customer; I would highly recommend David for any men who are sick and tired of cheap haircuts performed by lousy barbers.

Best massage ever from Brande Diaz! Would love to come every week.

This salon is the best! I have extremely curly hair so it’s hard to find a good cut. I go to Heather and she’s amazing! I even took my grandma to her to cut her hair and my grandma looked great after. She can truly cut any hair on any age group! If you need a facial go to Stina. She is so great and her services are so relaxing! I wish I could have had several facials that day.

I’ve been coming to Centennial Hills Day Spa for about two years for hair coloring, cuts and styles. I’ve also had the spa pedicures and a massage once. This place rocks! I come monthly to get a blow out and they give you a neck massage and a hand massage. While all of the hair stylists are great, here are my favs:
Tenithia — master stylist rocks color, cut & style
Melissa — never had a cut but her styles are great and she’s doing the color on Thursday
Vanessa — color, style and great scalp massages
Turner is always booked but she’s so cool no wonder everyone requests her!\
Amanda does an amazing blow out and style — very unique
I’ve only had Paige and Kim once but they both rock!
PS — The spa pedis are amaging as well. You can tell I love this place!

I’ve been going to Centennial Hills for many years. I’ve had hair services, massage services, facials and body treatments. I’ve had many different people perform these services. It seems like there is a high turnover rate. I’ve stopped getting hair services there because I followed my stylist to her new salon. There were only 2 massage therapists I liked but it’s been a while since I’ve had a massage there I’m not sure they still work there.
Kristen is definitely a 5 star esthetician. I’ve been going to her for the last 2 years. She’ll ask what is going on with your skin, take a look at it, and treat it accordingly. It isn’t the same treatment every time. She’s very good with massage as well. For the facial massage she starts with the chest and shoulder then gives the face a thorough rub. It’s a completely relaxing experience sometimes it puts me to sleep. If you’re looking for a good facial Kristen is the one to see!
