History

Established in 1992.

Card Player Cruises is the largest poker cruise company and has hosted more poker players on more cruises to more destinations than any other company. They have hosted the PartyPoker Million tournaments, been featured in many newspapers, and are recognized as «the poker cruise professionals» by novices to pros.

Meet the Business Owner

Linda Johnson J.

Business Owner

Linda Johnson is a poker player, journalist, consultant, and partner in Card Player Cruises based in Las Vegas.

She won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 1997 and has many poker championships and final tables in her resume. Known as «The First Lady of Poker» due to her lengthy association with the game, she was the publisher of Card Player Magazine for eight years and still writes articles for them. She co-​founded the Tournament Directors Association (TDA) which sets common rules for tournaments throughout the world. She was one of the founders of the Poker Player Alliance (PPA) and was its first Chairman of the Board. She still is on its Board of Directors. .

Johnson was the studio announcer for WPT’s first six seasons. In addition to being a partner in Card Player Cruises, she also gives poker seminars around the country and hosts poker tournaments.

She also helped found Poker Gives, a nonprofit organization that makes it easier for poker players to donate to charity.
