Aces Braces & Dental

This is the first visit here to cleaning. The dentist’s waiting room is clean and Receptionists are all polite and friendly and kind. And dental hygienist and dentist is good also, but treatment is rough, just very rough and painful. It was bleeding just cleaning… This is the first time for me during the cleaning treatment. After I endured the pain, refreshing sense of front teeth only. What happened?! Anyway I prefer to visit another place.

The staff was very professional and friendly, as well as racially diverse. Dr Gupta was very pleasant and did a good job cleaning my teeth. Both my husband and I were very satisfied with our treatment.

I’ve basically spent every Saturday here for a year. I needed a lot done and I’m happy with my results.
Dr. V!!! he is the man to see!!! If at all possible with your schedule, make your appointments with this man. He has a comforting quality, I can’t quite explain but he makes you feel like you are in good hands and from my own personal experiences you are. He is so nice. Have you ever been to Dentists who look at your teeth and were like «wow, that’s bad!»? LOL, I have terrible teeth, probably because I will NEVER give up sweets… never ever. I’ve definitely been in a dental chair and felt judge by my teeth and then ultimately embarrassed. But Dr. V. never made me feel insecure or bad about the poor shape my teeth were in. He walked me through everything that needed to be done before getting started or scheduling appointments and while I was getting the work done he always told me what he was about to do before proceeding and I really appreciated that.
I had to get a TON of work done, I mean… mucho dollars worth. Sometimes I was uncomfortable about my bite after I had work done, and I would keep going back in for the same tooth… just over and over… because I was unsure if I was just being silly or if something really needed to be adjusted. Honestly, I was that annoying customer who just wouldn’t go away! BUT no one in the office every made me feel unwelcome or as though I were being ridiculous. They were always happy to keep bringing me back in and listen to what I felt and make adjustments if needed.
Ultimately, the facility is clean, the staff is more than awesome and Dr. V. is the BEST! AND I am so pleased with all the work I’ve have done here. My two front teeth is my favorite, they were pretty pathetic and I was always embarrassed to even talk to people because they were so gross. But now that they are fixed I am SO happy and have more confidence in my smile. Thank you Aces Braces and Dental!
Without any hesitation I give this place 5 stars because I believe they are deserving of it!!!

I’ve had now SEVERAL unpleasant experiences here, and am pretty much at my wits end with Aces Braces.
Let’s run down the issues:
* I’ve had 2 fillings break/​come loose (I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this, but in retrospect, I think that it was just shoddy work).
* I’ve come in for a scheduled appointment, only to be told in the waiting room that the dentist had an emergency and had to reschedule.
* I’ve waited 35 – 45 minutes on several occasions to be seen.
*They schedule several appointments for each dentist at once, so he is constantly running between cases. This leads to the feeling that your case is not important, and makes you worry that he is not giving you full time, attention, or proper care.
***Most frustrating– my permanent crown did not FIT! So, the entire process had to be redone… this was after the anesthetic had been applied, the temporary crown removed, the area cleaned out. The dentist went to apply the permanent crown that had been created. and OOPS. It doesn’t fit! So now, they had to take new impressions, a mold, then install a new temporary crown and cement it. I now have to wait for the permanent crown AGAIN and go through the process AGAIN. This was after a 37 minute wait, so this visit took almost 3 hours in total.
So… after all of that, what did they propose to appease me? Oh, we’ll schedule you on a Saturday to do it so you don’t have to take off another day from work. Um… that doesn’t really solve the problem. I will still have to go through another unpleasant procedure, and now will have to waste my Saturday to do so because of your mistake. Thanks.
This is ESPECIALLY frustrating because this was an expensive process that insurance covers very little of. A partial refund would have been more in order to rectify this error.
Again, everyone was very nice and pleasant within the office, but between operations and the dental work… I’m looking for another dental office, and I wouldn’t recommend them.
UPDATE: The temporary crown they installed fell out within a week and had to be replaced. The billing/​office manager (Jasmine) was supposed to call me to discuss my dissatisfaction, but did not. I finally reached her the following week, and she was quite unsympathetic and offered NOTHING to rectify this issue. Mysteriously, after I voiced my complaint, my permanent crown suddenly came in from the lab.

This was the absolute worst dentsl visit I have ever had. Obviously they only want to charge more money from unnecessary services. Make excuses and do a poor job. Some guy flossed and polished my teeth and I could tell he had no clue what he was doing. Then they wanted to try and charge me for deep cleaning I dont need. Worst dentist I ever been to.

Granted they saw my daughter in an emergency situation, they fixed it and the tooth was okay. Staff seemed a little rude and music was loud in the office.
When we came in for a routine visit, Dr. Gupta was nice and she explained to me what needed to be done (extraction and space maintainer.)
Second visit (my daughter got her first tooth extracted, no fuss, she did need another tooth extracted.)
Third visit, my daughter had extreme anxiety and Dr. Gupta (no work was done) said we should come back another time.
Fourth visit same anxiety took over my little one, Dr. Gupta referred us to a pediatric dentist (no work was done.) No space maintainer was installed nor was the second extraction done. (Later on I learned at the new pediatric dentist, no extraction was needed.)
A few months later, the pediatric dentists office said Aces Dental already billed and was paid for the space maintainer that never was installed.
I went to the office and the billing manager Jasmine yelled at me. I mean yelled about getting my daughters information up. This was in front of the entire staff and in the lobby. Good thing no other patients were waiting in the lobby.
When I asked her to come closer and speak lower due to HIPAA, she asked why.
This was the icing on the cake for me. I asked politely for her to talk about this in a more confidential place because everyone was staring and she refused.
I asked the receptionist if Jasmine was always this brash, and she said she didn’t know what that meant.
In the end, Jasmine said she will look into it and refund the money back to the insurance.
I certainly hope this gets resolved. Charging for a procedure might’ve been an accident (and should’ve never happened,) but getting yelled at was the utmost unprofessional experience I’ve ever had.

My 3 kids ages 11, 5 and 4 have been coming here to get their teeth regularly cleaned and I haven’t had a problem yet. Text message and email reminders are great since I’m always on my phone and forget to put it on my schedule sometimes. The office is clean and the staff are nice.
Not sure about the other 2 negative reviews but you’ll always have to go to a place and experience it for yourself to know for sure ;)

I went to Aces and Braces on a recommendation for the orthodontist.
Let me say first off the scheduling is a total nightmare. I would get texts reminding me of my appointment for days that it was not scheduled and would have to call and get it clarified. This happened on each occasion for all 3 of my appointments and oddly enough, more than 3 times.
I had to have several consultations for the spacing in my teeth on the request of all 3 Dr. s in the practice, because they could not decide what was best treatment plan for me.
The actual Drs. were very nice and I’m sure they do great work, but Ill never get to know because upon showing for my last consultation I was told it was a charge because «we already gave you two for free».
I’m unsure if the front manager is aware, but no one actually WANTS to come to the dentist. No one actually WANTS to take time off work and make the commute to them during the week. Would I have preferred for the Dr. s to have been able to make a decision on their treatment plan the first or even 2^nd visit? Of course. I was asked by them to come for a 3^rd time. This was not a situation created because of what I wanted. Needless to say I walked out and did not have a 3^rd consultation.
Now, as far a basic cleaning I figured I would give that a go and the other part of their practice (front staff) was just a bad experience and I really needed a cleaning. Poor decision making on my part.
The hygienist or dentist did not bother flossing behind my permanent retainers. I have one on top and one on the bottom. Also, the tool they use to grind the plaque was turned up way to high and was bouncing off my teeth. I had to actually stop the dentist and ask him to turn it down and he comment was «yeah that was turned up a little high».
I will never go back or recommend this place to a soul unless they get different front desk staff and a more experienced dentist that isn’t fresh out of college.

They’re teeth work sucks. I don’t think they know what they are doing. Had deep cleaning. They numbed my upper and bottom gums. Every dentist knows you’re not supposed to do upper and bottom at the same time that’s because you can’t feel your tongue & I was choking on my tongue and nobody was around. I had to figure it out myself how to breathe with upper and bottom gums numb. It was the worst experience at a dentist ever had. And now I have bigger gaps between my teeth since the cleaning and they haven’t been able to fix my left side of my mouth when I chew it stills hurts.

You tell me if this is scam or not, I got a volume package in my mail for this place cleaning plus X-​ray for $ 30 so i called them and make an appointment I said I have a coupon for cleaning, is this for adult and everything on paper is correct? They say yes of-​course. I went to the one on Owens street, it was so dirty, the glass door seems like they never clean ., so let’s get to the point so they put me to the chair X-​ray then polished my teeth and flossed that was it for $ 30 really really!!! Its a rip off !! I’m just a regular people when see on add said $ 30 cleaning I expect cleaning, I can floss and would cost me nothing anyways $ 30 is not a big deal, I just want to warn people out there might get trap in this scram don’t go to this place guys !! They just want to rip people of this place should be shut down!
