Accu-Time

I went down to get an appraisal on a watch service. I already had an identical service performed on an identical watch elsewhere.
I told him what I needed and he replied with «I know you type of guys, you know too much. I need to get in there and see what’s going on then I can give you an estimate.»
I told him I wanted the same service that I had gotten elsewhere and asked for a price. Again he replied that he had no idea and couldn’t tell me.
«Well, the other guy I had the service done with charged me $ 75 do you think it will be in the same ballpark?»
At this point he started laughing and told me to go back to the other guy. He basically called me a liar and said «I didn’t want to work on your watch anyway, I was going to do you a favor.»
The guy is nuts! Do me a favor? No thanks, I don’t need that kind of favor. I’ll gladly drive across town to the other store where they gladly give you quotes straight up and offer service with a smile.
If you find yourself in this store face to face with a man whose hair is stuck in the seventies, and is dripping with Vegas sleaze that you didn’t know existed in real life, turn around and run! The guy was so unbelievable I’m still in shock.
