It’s family run! Best repair shop in town, hands down! They are honest professionals. Kyle, Scott and Pamela are very great people. I bring my cars in there all the time, I had to bring a car back one time BUT it was immediately corrected. The prices are better than most of the shops, in fact I don’t think you can find a better deal unless you find a street mechanic. I will be a customer for life, my son will as well. They fix Subaru’s as well. SPOTTED!

Had transmission problem for my 2007 Chevy Suburban while visiting Vegas with the family. Showed up at 7:30am and Pam and Kyle were able to fit me in for an inspection. Turns out I needed a new transmission. They ordered a replacement transmission on Monday and work was completed by noon on Saturday. Very friendly and professional. All work was done right/​on time at a fair price.

I would have to say this is the most HONEST shop i have ever been to. The are reliable, their prices are great and they have wonderful customer service. This is the ONLY place i trust to take my vehicle in Las Vegas.

Scott and Kyle are two outstanding businessmen! They both showed compassion towards my situation, helping me as best they could with great advice during a disappointing post transmission diagnostic. Kyle could have still did the $ 650.00 repair we initially agreed upon and after the fact produced a claim that there is another problem, but he did none of that. They were 100% honest and upfront. A rare find in the world of auto mechanics. This place has outstanding mechanics, I highly recommend this establishment of you’re looking for the best money can buy.

I was in Vegas on vacation and my 2007 Buick started giving me trouble. I thought it was the transmission. A potential $ 2500 repair. I literally could not sleep. 1000 miles from home with a broken car. I called Scott on A Friday afternoon and he told to bring it in Monday. I was so worried I took it in on Saturday hoping to find out something. Scott got my car in for evaluation. They found a cracked spark plug. They had to order the plugs for Monday. I took my car back Monday morning and within a couple hours it was running like new for far less money than I expected. Thanks Scott for friendly professional service.

Several weeks ago the «check engine» light on my 2006 Impala showed codes for possible transmission problems. Based on the great Unilocal reviews I drove 110 miles to this AAMCO to have it checked out. Just prior to my arrival the «check engine» light went out. The owner, Scott, had one of his technicians test drive it. He couldn’t find anything wrong. Scott said there would be no charge, but to bring it back if the light came back on.
Last week the light came back on and I took the car to a local Auto Zone to get a print out of the problem, which indicated two potential transmission issues (after which the light went out again). Last week I returned to AAMCO and gave him the error code printout from Auto Zone. Scott had a technician inspect various parts of the transmission. The cause of the periodic «check engine» light was narrowed down to several possibilities. Scott recommended that, since it seemed to be running OK at the moment it would not be cost effective to go further and start fixing things, running up a bill with no guarantee that it would correct the problem. He gave me some paperwork to take with me spelling out the potential issues. Scott said that since he couldn’t fix anything for me there would be no charge. The thing is, by having his technician spend the time to diagnose the problem and providing me with the results, I believe he really did help me going forward. Oh, and not only that. while checking for the original problem the AAMCO technician fixed a sloppy shift lever, which now shifts precisely and perfectly. Even so, Scott did not charge me even for that service!
I cannot praise this business highly enough. Two visits with quick, efficient, honest and competent service — and no charge — both times. I learned that this AAMCO can service anything on the vehicle except tires. If I have any vehicle problems in the future, I will definitely bring it here.

Great friendly service.
Brought my 2006 f150 into shop to have a slipping transmission fixed.
They called and said it was a misfiring cylinder .
They charged me nothing and diagnosed the problem quickly.

I wish I could give 10 stars to this Aamco! Scott (the owner) and his team did an amazing job fixing my car! They went above and beyond for me and my family while staying within my budget. This Aamco is family owned, professional, the shop is clean and immaculate. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease and confident my transmission would be rebuilt correctly. Aamco offers an excellent warranty on all parts and labor and they are nationwide. Keep this in mind if you go to another local shop. We had been through so much with our Jeep before finding this Aamco, which came highly recommended by several of my Father’s coworkers who are all police sergeants. I was on a road trip and my clutch went out on my car. I called up AAMCO and they let me come right in and they checked out my car and fixed it all up for me in a half hour! Super friendly staff and they all did a great job working on my car! I’m thankful to have found this store!

My wife’s Ford Explorer broke down recently and we had it towed to a shop we have been using for years. Had two problems, and over heat and a slipping transmittion. The first shop quoted me $ 450 to fix the over heat problem and over $ 3000 to fix the transmition. Because the individual I was dealing with was new to the shop and for some reason I just didn’t trust him in my gut I decided to get a second opinion. I called another AAmco shop in town and got a quote for the work. Then I got referred to this shop. I called and spoke to Scott, the owner. He gave me a quote for the work that was slightly higher than the other AAMCO shop but he made me feel very comfortable so I asked him to tow my car in and fix it for the $ 2,600 price we agreed upon. After he got the truck in and had a chance to really look into it he called and had me pick it up… He said he really would like to take my money but there were no repairs necessary. We figured the transmittion problems were a result of the over heating situation. We are driving the vehicle and hoping this is right but it seems to be driving perfectly. Scott could have done the rebuild and taken my $ 2600 and I would have been perfectly happy but he didn’t. This family owned AAMCO shop is now my shop for life!

I have been coming to this shop for several years. I was in charge of a fleet of limos and have had them do work for me on multiple occasions and every time was flawless. This is business done on a family level not a corporate one. Mr. Harvey, his wife and son will be greeting you when you walk in and you might even meet the family dog who has her own corner in the office. Transmissions are a unique creature and best not done by a regular shop. When money counts and you are trying to get the most trouble free years out of your car, there is no substitute for having it done right. Save your precious time and just bring your car here. They are without a doubt, the best transmission shop in the Las Vegas valley.

Came in with slipping transmission. They diagnosed the problem and within 5 days they had my truck transmission rebuilt. Appreciated the owners personal service and attention. I hope I won’t need their help but I’d come back again if I had transmission issues

Had a major problem with my Subaru on the drive from Cali to Vegas. I limped into the Rio with my car covered in some kind of red oily substance. Seems I blew my transmission hose, I expected the worst but was treated with respect and the work was very well priced. Got me back on the road for chump change — could have taken me for a ride. They do not do work they do not have to do. Latter I found out I still have a leak from an oil pump but I got home just fine after their help.

Best and most honest shop in Vegas. I take all my work vehicles here and they always get them done in a timely matter. I also take all my personal vehicles here and recommend them to all my friends and family. No reason to go anywhere else.

Had my car on the shop over there for a leaky transmission seal, they could have told me I may need major transmission work.
Well let me add another five store review for these guys. The guys are honest, helpful, and straight forward. These guys come highly recommended, and will use them again when the need arrives.

My car was not shifting right and revving when speeding up. I took it in because I knew it had to be the transmission. I dropped off my car and awhile later I get a call from them. They told me my transmission was perfectly fine. They diagnosed my car with a clogged catalytic converter. They recommended I take it into a muffler shop. I found Triple A Muffler in Henderson and they confirmed it was SEVERELY plugged. It’s hard to find an honest mechanic these days. AAMCO was honest and correctly diagnosed my car. They didn’t charge me. If I ever have a transmission problem in the future I would see them. I would recommend them to my family and friends!

My car broke down in the road, followed Unilocal’s advice here and boy was I grateful.
Family business, they are friendly, resonable, knowlegable and most importantly honest, which can’t be emphasized enough as it is a rare thing to come by in carshops.

I chose this shop based purely on Unilocal reviews. After years of dealing with dishonest shops, dealerships and big name chains, it is refreshing to find a family owned business who delivers honest, quality work. I know my car (I’ve had to learn, being a woman and all).
I bought an Oil Change special online (3 oil changes for $ 25) and took my car in for a routine oil change at the dealership that offered the service. I waited TWO hours for the oil change to be done (that’s with an appointment) and then was told I needed a new drive belt (which I already knew). The dealer wanted $ 280 to change the belt. I laughed and went on my merry way, knowing I could do the work myself. He told
me of some other relatively small issues that I fixed myself after he wanted to charge $ 400.
After purchasing a new belt for my car, I realized that the transverse engine, and my feminine lack of real muscle, would cause some trouble with the actual labor of changing it myself.
Thanks to my freshly downloaded Unilocal App, I searched nearby mechanics and came across Aamco. I read through every review and gave Scott a call. They were booked up, and I had to schedule my appointment for the following week, but I was completely ok with that!
The Harvey family owns and operates the business and I can tell they take great pride in what they do and what they stand for. I was litterally in and out in less than 30 minutes and was only charged for the labor since I brought my belt with me.
I will definitely be a repeat customer and refer friends and family to this shop! Thank you Aamco!
