Love the roasted salsa… Their salsa verde is very good also, spicy and tasty. Chips are always fresh. Place does not look like much from the street but if you like good MX food, try this place. It is somewhat hidden on McPherson Rd. past Calle Del Norte (going S).Usually not very crowded. Their menu is Spanish but the wait staff is accommodating if you have questions. Dishes like chicken XXX (place’s name or the chef’s name etc) always puzzle me so I asked couple of questions and the waitress was happy to explain. Molcajates are very unique and full of flavour. I usually ask them to put extra nopales. If you cannot decide what to get when ordering a molcajate, ask for half and half. Their mole is good and even though I did not have the chance to try their breakfast, my food crazy friend told me it is very delicious. Big portions and good food. If you are looking for a restaurant with ambiance, this may not be the place but for authentic food, you’d like this place.
