Specialties

Apiary offers prepared meals that are freshly made with natural, locally sourced ingredients for the whole family. From lobster rolls to panko chicken fingers, from brisket sandwiches to an assortment of whole grains and green salads, there’s something for everyone at Apiary!

Apiary also sells a curated selection of artisanal snacks, specialty foods and ingredients such as organic maple syrup, farmstead cheeses and organic miso paste. In-​home/​venue catering and in-​store private cooking parties (kids birthday or adults cooking class) are available too!

Chef/​Owners Joerg Zehe and Kim Née have been friends and business partners for over 20 years since meeting as student chefs at the French Culinary Institute. Since then, they have worked together and individually at Ed’s Lobster Bar, Magnolia, Matsuri, Bolo and Maloney & Porcelli.

Looovvvveee it !! I been going there for half a year and I never actually eaten a chicken kale wrap, until this one girl told me to try it and I’m glad I did ! She was so helpful since the moment I got there, when I notice she was so quick at making the wrap I barely waited 3 mins until I got my food ! She was so kind and very energetic ! When stores have good customer service help the store way more because makes a person come back everytime ! Deff try the chicken kale wrap ! It’s to die for

Wonderful service, wonderful food! I was planning a baby shower for my daughter and son-​in-​law in NY and I live on Cape Cod. Theresa was so timely and so helpful and kept in touch with me on a regular basis to ensure timelessness and superb expedition on a custom order that went off without a hitch. She and her husband are simply lovely and down-​to-​earth. I highly recommend their catering services and if you simply want to indulge in luscious eating, stop in at the Apiary for an assortment of breakfast and lunch edibles.

I had the fruit parfait it was so delicious, very fresh. I also had egg whites they were reallygood as well. My boyfriend had the philly cheesesteak (i had a bite) it was juicy and toasty just perfect. Very cute place for breakfast brunch or a late lunch. Next time i’lltry the butternut squash soup.

I’ve been to this place before for a cup of coffee & some pastries and had a good experience with the good pastries. So, I decided to take my husband and our daughter today for brunch. It was a mistake. I ordered the scallion pancakes with smoked salmon ($ 13) and my husband ordered the breakfast roll. (about $ 8 – 9 with cheese & bacon) The pancakes were the size of a slice of pizza (cut in tiny pieces) but thin like paper. Didn’t taste scallions at all. Just flour pancakes with corn starch which anybody can make. Tiny size of smoked salmon was placed on top of the pancakes. This is the $ 13 dish. I wouldn’t even pay half the price if I knew what it looked like. My husband’s breakfast roll was also disappointing. Poor thing, he had to stop by at another place for a sandwich because he was still hungry. Too bad, I thought I found a good neighborhood café. They need to figure out the portion, quality & pricing otherwise they will lose more customers.

Amazing lobster roll!!!
Whenever I’m in the area Apiary is my go to lunch spot. The lobster roll is so good I’ve gotten it everytime. Next trip I’ll try one of the sandwiches.
During the taste of larchmont I tried their sample which consisted of steak corn and potato salad absolutely delicious.
Today I started with butternut squash soup which was fresh and delicious!
My lobster roll was amazing as usual!
Very relaxing atmosphere, cool playlist enjoyed listening to some Maxwell during my lunch and family friendly!
Don’t forget to check the desserts on the right side when you come in, the brownie is awesome.
Great gourmet restaurant, amazing service you won’t be disappointed!!!

We were a little thrown off by the sign in front of the store advertising Gluten Free Vegan because when we walked in there was only a few options and even fewer were both gluten free and vegan.
However what options they did have were yummy.
He loved the quinoa and I had the organic tofu tower.

I often stop in Apiary for coffee or lunch. They have good coffee and I really like their side salads (lentil salad, soba noodles, and quiona are my favorite). Their lobster roll is delicious! And the décor is simple and modern bistro so nice to be in!
Their service is friendly but slow… it’s not a great spot to stop for any of their sandwiches that they need to prepare if you’re in a rush but that could change as they are still really new.
We just had them cater my grandmother’s birthday and for catering they were excellent! Food was delicious (marinated steaks, chicken, side salads, grilled vegetables with feta, shrimp platters) and well packaged. The only item I probably wouldn’t order again was the crudite, it was totally fine and fresh but nothing particularly special about the veggie options or presentation.

I hired Apiary this past weekend to cater a memorial service for my mother. After having tried to contact several other local places, I happened upon Apiary. I sent an e-​mail explaining what I wanted and was called immediately by the co-​owners. She discussed the event, listened to my ideas and then promised a proposal within in the next 2 days. A detailed breakdown arrived in my «in box» that evening. They even suggested that I order less food than I initially had proposed, saying that I had over-​ordered. On the day of the event, everything was packed neatly and organized with a check-​list. The staff brought it out to my car and were prompt and courteous and then they came to the event later in the day to pick up their platters. The food was amazing — — fresh, interesting, healthy and beautifully presented. My guests must have thought so too because sadly there were very few leftovers. My highest recommendation for this great wonderful local place.

AMAZING!!! We went last night for a girls night out and to celebrate a 30th birthday. We learned how to make pasta, gnocchi and a fresh Pomodoro sauce and we able to enjoy the fruits of our labor! The owners and staff could not have been more gracious, patient and informational. I can’t say enough of how wonderful the experience was and I hope others will try it as well. I took a catering menu and expect to use them in the future.

Everything I’ve picked up from Apiary has been delicious. I haven’t used them for catering or eaten in store, but I’ve picked up food for dinner. I hope to eat lunch there sometime soon, there’s a lot more seating than you’d think. Apiary is still working out the kinks. They’ve gotten a lot better about showing what you can order — a new board announces dinner options so you don’t need to just check the case. But they always have such small amounts on display, I never know if what they have in the case is all they have (and enough for my family) or if there’s more in the back! I’ll keep coming back for the ease of picking up a healthy dinner/​having a different option than the same take out options.

Perfection. Fast casual fresh wholesome foods, especially for quick coffee, a casual breakfast, brunch with a friend or brunch with your kids. Lovely seating areas and a nice assortment on the brunch menu as well as grab-​and-​go organic treats, like turkey chili, panko-​crusted chicken, kale omelette cups, and all sorts of salads.
Conveniently located too. Support this local business! We need more lovely little places like this.

If you want organic, locally sourced, high quality thoughtful food… this is my new go to gourmet shop. I was very happy with their Thanksgiving offerings. We ordered the Thanksgiving turkey seasoned and ready to go along with a few sides and were delighted. The turkey was moist, tied up and ready to roast and it delivered what they promised and more.
The chocolate chip cookies are to die for. One of our guests suggested he might move to Larchmont just for the cookies.
The advice i got this past weekend when i purchased the bolognese sauce offered me a dairy or a non dairy option for preparation. I love the thinking and the food!

Stopped in for a quick bite earlier this evening. Had a lobster roll a pretzel and a brownie. The lobster roll was perfect! Better than anything I had in MTK this summer. The pretzel was on point too. I brought the brownie home to my gf. I didn’t get to sample it. It was gone in half a second. Im guessing it was good too. The guy working the counter was really friendly and offered me a few samples of their prepared foods. The bacon and potato salad was really tasty. I don’t know if it was supposed to be served cold, but was great nonetheless.

Fresh from the microwave! This place is new so I guess you give them the benefit of the doubt to get the operation up and running, but… this place is really disorganized and seemed overwhelmed by a small number of people in the store. Worse though was the lobster bisque — not one piece of lobster in it, not a shred. Soup so hot that it was clearly nuked to order. I think it was tomato soup from a box.
They seem to think they’ve uncovered a niche with their kids menu (mac and cheese, hot dog, etc. with carrots and milk). The mac and cheese, while purportedly organic, was also shamelessly microwaved in plain view.

First lunch at apiary was fantastic! The lobster roll was the best we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and delicious particularly the carrot ginger soup which should not be missed. What s great new addition to the neighborhood — can’t wait to go back!
