This is our go-​to restaurant when we need a «Flint style» coney fix or a relaxed family meal. Specials are always good, service is good and they understand that the coffee cup should never get below half full.

Sam’s doesn’t even need a Unilocal review… everyone knows it’s a Lapeer Downtown staple! It’s been here forever, and my moms been there almost 20 years, and the foods awesome! Prices are cheap, and the staff is friendly. The home-​make their ranch dressing, and it’s AMAZING on anything you order! I love their chicken strips!

I really like this Coney Island. It is established and has an experienced wait staff and the food is consistent.
They have many regulars (a sure sign of a good place and a good price!) and the atmosphere is very small town friendly.

Love Sam’s! Great food and customer service. I’m glad Michigan passed the smoking ban law which makes this place smoke free and even more enjoyable to eat at now.

Food is great and for the most part the service is incredible. However they have this one waitress who has been there for years and she is the worst. I now look to see who is waitng on tables and where her station is to avoid her. The rest of the girls are sensational!

I lived in Lapeer, MI for most of my life and after moving for college, graduating, and moving to DC and more recently Boston, there’s no comparison for this little local restaurant!
DELICIOUS FOOD, FAST & FRIENDLY SERVICE, AND IT’S AMAZINGLY AFFORDABLE!
Every time I travel back to MI for a visit, I try to hit up Sam’s Coney Island for their double deck cheeseburger combo with cloeslaw or fish n’ chips.
Oh, and 1 more thing: COLESLAW, COLESLAW, COLESLAW!!!
I promise you, promise you that you will not find a better coleslaw than what they serve here! Also, my friends and family tell me they also have amazing «runny» ranch, but I NEVER stray away from the coleslaw when I have a chance.
