Dr. Iwamotto who I was referred to for periodontal work by my general dentist was very professional, detailed, thorough, well organized and very precise and able to answer questions about the gum procedure I had him perform. He took a series of pictures both before and after. He was very gentle and meticulous during the procedure and really calmed my nerves throughout.
Their office environment was also very modern, sanitary and orderly. As a professional and periodontist his ratings here should be much higher than what I am seeing. I rated him a 4 out of 5 minus the staff, who weren’t the most personable, however at the end of the day I was there to see the doctor not the staff.

Unprofessional and inexperienced staff doesn’t understand how to build patient relationships. No confirmation call was made and the office moved between the time I made the appointment and the actual day. The old office has no sign that they moved and the staff doesn’t know how to give directions.
When you fill out the forms in the office, bring your lawyer. You are not required, by law, to give them everything on the form, but they can, and will, refuse treatment if you don’t surrender your information to them. There are lots of periodontist in this area, you should choose another.

I was referred here for a crown lengthening procedure. After a few bouts of difficult dental issues with a variety of dentists/​specialists, I have to say that Dr. Claudio and his staff provided the best and most personal care I have received. The preparatory appointment was very thorough and I felt well informed about the procedure, risks, and reasons why it was necessary. During the appointment they took extra steps to make sure I was comfortable, donned full surgical attire, and numbed me in a way that i never felt the pinch of the needle. Dr. Claudio just called me to check in and make sure my recovery was going smoothly. I appreciate everything he and his staff have done for me so far, which is why I’m writing this review.

I had a terrible and painful experience with their hygienist. I went in for a deep scaling of two quads in my mouth. I was surprised that the hygienist was the one to numb my mouth. I didn’t realize they could be liscensed to give shots. She gave me a minimum of 6 shots. When I questioned why so umany shots to numb the side of my mouth I was told the numbing agent was not as strong. After cleaning a portion of my mouth she had to apply 2 additional shots for a area she had previously numbed. Overall it was a very unpleasant and painful experience. I shared my experience with the office manager who apologized for the experience and emailed my records to me so I could have the work finished at another office.
I was also charged $ 150 for a missed appointment that I clearly had called prior to cancel and was told if I come in to have the additional work completed it would be removed. Really? Who does business like that? Later it was removed as a «Dr. courtesy»
Unfortunately I would not recommend this business.
