Adorable tiny distillery on Whidbey Island. You would never guess it was there when going up their dirt driveway. Well done tasting room with tastes at no charge. Loganberry, Blackberry, and Raspberry flavors. They have a whiskey that will be available, I believe the guy said at end of August, we will definitely go back to try it.

Small tasting room. 3 liqueurs to taste, blackerry, raspberry, & loganberry. They also now have a burbon to sample. All complimentary tastings! Staff was friendly and quick. Lots of parking available. A must try! Great place to switch up your wine tasting excursion on the island

I’m so happy a stop to Whidbey Island Distillery was included in the Savor Spring event because I made the mistake of skipping this place during my last trip out to Whidbey. I think they converted me into a liqueur drinker and I can’t wait to try their blackberry liqueur in my ginger beer/​lime/​mint/​vodka concoction or poor it over some pancakes, both will be equally delicious. Very nice staff and the mini-​tour of the distillery and process how the liqueur is made was amazing to see, what a genius the owner is to come up with this process and the end result tastes fantastic.

This is a *MUST* if you’re on the Island! Whidbey has a lot of wineries to visit, but this is their only distillery. We’ve been to almost all of the wineries and I can say that they are all lovely, but Whidbey Island Distillery is one we go back to again and again.
This is a small operation where you get a very up close look at the distilling process. It’s got a great family vibe and you can feel the enthusiasm from everyone. Their blackberry liquor has been our favorite since we first visited over a year ago and it recently beat their own Loganberry for marks by Beverage Tasting Institute.
It’s great to support a very local business and I beam with pride when I see their liqueur on shelves in Seattle shops. I recommend this as a ‘go out of your way’ place to visit if you’re on Whidbey. And if you’re not in the area, you can buy your own bottle at Total Wines. An absolute must try!

If you’re not so much into the wine tasting scene, how about a liqueur tasting instead? Whidbey Island Distillery is a small family operation that makes delicious blackberry, raspberry, and loganberry liqueurs using local wine and berries, and you really owe it to yourself to give them a try.
The distillery is pretty small, but the owners are there every weekend and are happy to give you a brief tour and generous free samples. They’ll explain how the one-​of-​a-​kind computerized still works and take you through the distilling process, from distilling clear spirits out of local wine to crushing thousands of pounds of berries for that intense, concentrated fruity sweetness in the final product.
The liqueur is rather pricey (around $ 40 for a smallish bottle), but once you see all the hard work and top-​quality ingredients that go into it, you’ll understand why. We tried all three flavors and our favorite was the blackberry, but unfortunately it’s only available seasonally and they didn’t have any for sale then. We took home a bottle of raspberry liqueur, which you can use anywhere you’d normally use Chambord — it’s delicious with champagne, over desserts, or as a digestif.
A delicious treat for yourself or a wonderful hostess gift if you’re staying with friends out on the island!

An afternoon of bachelorette wine tasting became a lot more fun when we were told about this place.
So cute, Mom and Pop kind of production, excellent branding, and generous free tastes. It was actually the first day they released the blackberry liqueur, what a treat!
After a small tour and wonderful description of the production process, I ended up leaving with a bottle of the blackberry and loganberry. They were both so good, I couldn’t decide. This is a small business I will *definitely* keep supporting.

With the closure of the Whidbey Island winery, so was their famous loganberry liqueur. Imagine how excited we were to discover that the distillery is brewing their own loganberry liqueur! They owners are really friendly and happy to demonstrate the distilling process and answer basic questions. We bought three bottles and look forward to buying many more in the future.
