I visited a unique little shop yesterday called the«Chocolate Flower Farm» in Langely on Whidbey Island, WA. My friend and I were wandering along the quaint little street when we smelled something absolutely delicious from two doors down! I don’t think we really had a choice after that, we just sort of followed our noses and veered right in! It was enchanting! Everything is homemade fresh with chocolate and natural, local ingredients. There were candles, lotion, soaps, tea, seeds, jams, FUDGE! –all sorts of stuff! It was great! The shop says, «The Garden Shed» on the outside and that’s exactly how it’s set up and decorated. It was lovely. There were other things for sale without chocolate too like lavender and lemon verbina scented products. The shopkeeper is this extremely nice and hospitable lady who personally makes all the products on her farm with raw, natural materials. She was really kind and patient with me as I asked a lot of lame, obvious questions. I bought several exquisite gifts for my coworkers and friends which I’m sure will they’ll love. Tried the fudge almost as soon as we left the shop… it was just DIVINE! It just melts in your mouth and is so chocolaty and sweet – but not too rich. Just perfect! If you want a truly original, fine, yummy experience while shopping in Langley, stop in at the Chocolate Flower Farm!

The store smells amazing!!! I mean how can you go wrong with a chocolate store, right?! But they don’t just have edible chocolate here… all kinds of chocolate scented stuff… lotion, candles, seeds for chocolate colored flowers etc. Some things are made there, like the the candles… but other chocolate stuff is from other places, like the chocolate mint tea is just repackaged Harney & Sons tea, but it is delicious. Would be nice if they had samples of chocolate to eat

Ordered seeds on Dec. 13. Have not received my order, nor have I gotten any responses to my inquiry for status of order. Why would I send a company $ 17 for nothing in return???

How fun is this? A place that specializes in chocolate coloured and scented flowers! Hey, they also have some nice overpriced gifty stuff too. And special hot cocoa too, decorative plates, dishtowels, you know. That kind of stuff. The best thing about this place is out back… there is a huge back deck-type thingie overlooking the water(beautiful, wish you were here) and the side of a building that abuts the choco store is an amazing weathered brick red color. It makes me think of Tom Waits song«Murder in the Red Barn» and what’s not awesome about that??? This red wall is the most killer backdrop for group photogs. Check it out.

I visited the Chocolate Flower Farm before I was a Unilocaler, so I apologize for the post dated review. But this place was pretty sweet, so I figured I owed it to Whidbey Island tourists to write about it. It’s this really quaint shop that obviously centers on chocolate. Almost everything seems to be chocolate-inspired, even down to the color of the robe and slippers for sale. It’s a pretty random store, with soaps, teas, candy(chocolate, of course), stamps for scrapbooking, cards, candles, etc. My friend’s stepmom is way into roosters for some reason, so when I stopped in I picked up a rooster-shaped soap that had little soap eggs to put around it in a porcelain dish. The box it came in made it look super swanky to boot. The soap itself smelled incredible — incredible enough that I actually paid $ 26 for rooster soap. My mom picked up a gift for a friend of hers — a basket with chocolate mint soap, chocolate tea, and some simply delectable chocolate. The bathrobe they had there was tempting to buy simply because of how soft it was, but it was $ 87. So it’s a cute place to visit and pick up one or two things, especially if you’ve got enough money to spend on crap you may never use.
