Lancaster Transmission

First of all, I must apologize for the late review. However; a situation occurred that has compelled me to take time and write this review. On 1÷6÷2014, I had the transmission rebuilt on my 2002 Dodge Durango. After canvassing various transmission repair shops, I decided on this one… and it definitely proved to be the right choice. Dennis gave me what I thought was fair and market repair cost, which was not the case in others I had visited. I was very pleased with the repair. I eventually sold my Durango to a neighbor. My neighbor needed a SMOG check completed on the Durango and took it to a shop that told her she needed a new transmission with an estimated cost of $ 3,000.00. Upon informing me of this, I told her «ain’t no way.» I informed her to take the Durango back to Lancaster Transmissions, inform Dennis that the transmission was rebuilt by his shop and ask him if a new transmission was needed. Now, what compelled me to write this review is the pure honesty that Dennis displayed towards my neighbor. After inspecting and driving the Durango he told my neighbor the Durango was «purring like a kitten» and the transmission was just fine. He also did not charge her for this inspection. Dennis however did identify a problem with a sensor light that has nothing to do with the transmission. Dennis referred my neighbor to a shop that completed the SMOG check. Now, if this is not HONESTY… I really don’t know what is. For all of you that are looking for an honest repair shop that truly practices integrity towards it customers… please look no further. This is the shop to use. I just want to thank Dennis for his true honesty and integrity. It clearly shows that this is practiced… every day

Dennis is a super-​nice guy who spent the time needed on my husband’s truck to figure out what it really needed.
We first took the truck to another transmission shop who said we needed a brand new transmission at a cost of $ 2,100.
Dennis was recommended to us so we took the truck there for a second opinion. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the transmission at all it was an electrical problem that was causing the truck not to shift correctly.
Cost us $ 425 for a new computer and other miscellaneous fixes our old truck needed. She now runs like a champ and what a great guy Dennis is!!!

having lived in the antelope valley since 1957 and spending many days in the early 60’s with an old 55 chevy trans. being repaired by joe jones, decided to return to my roots and am I glad I did. dennis is a really fine owner and operator the business. did a fine job on my transmission and hopefully it will last till I make like a frog and croak. very nice, young, courteous receptionist who was gracious in thanking me for the business. kudos to dennis, his family and workers who continue to maintain the reputation of LANCASTER TRANSMISSION. Dennis is not only the nicest guy who welcomes all who come through his door as a visiting friend, he knows his stuff and is very professional. I’ve never felt so comfortable and satisfied going into and leaving a mechanic shop in my life.

These guys are amazing! They got my torque arm bushing replaced in under 2 hours and for dirt cheap! HIGHLY recommend them!
