Established in 1986.
Our property was built by 8th generation of the Herr family. The Herrs were the original founding family of Lancaster County. Three generations of Herrs lived here until 1986 when a couple from Australia bought the property and developed the Australian Walkabout Inn Bed & Breakfast. In its 23rd year of operation, the B&B has welcomed visitors & guests from all over the world. We look forward for the opportunity to make your stay in Lancaster County a memorable one.

I’ve always wanted to own a b&b, but it was one of those ‘someday’ dreams. Then in 2006 while staying at another b&b, I realized that this dream didn’t have to wait. After much research, we sold our house and left our jobs in the Metro DC area and moved to Lancaster, PA. Every day is a new adventure and we’re still enjoying all of it.
