The Restaurant was not that busy today however they were very slow in seating about 30 minutes after we arrived and there were so many empty tables and booths Then when we did get seated and ordered our food oh my goodness, we will not be eating here again my scallops were dry and nasty and the corn on the cobb was raw. My husbands sandwich bread was hard like a rock and its bacon not cooked all the way. The waitress was nice, service was good, but the food is not good. We definately will not be coming back. Very disappointed as it was my husbands birthday.

Terrible service! Our waiter appears to have other things better to do. Our glasses stayed empty the entire time… never even offered a refill. We were seated next to the kitchen in which we listened to the employees talk loudly about their personal lives! We were going to have dessert but our bill was brought to us mid lunch and was never even offered to us. I honestly wish I could give negative stars. This is not the place to go if you want to quiet, relaxing lunch with a friend.

Service was slow, server was slow and inattentive, and the food didn’t even come out as ordered. Toast came out 10 min after the plate of food. Applesauce came in place of the ordered apple slices, but even after correcting the problem, the apples looked old and were browning.

Been awhile since I had been here but pretty much what I remembered. Americana setting with home style cooking options. Service was good and timely and food tasted great. With so many options in this area if you feel like some home style cooking then this is place to come.

Wow, this was probably the worst, absolute WORST dining experience I’ve ever had. So bad that I’m vowing to never go back and also tell everyone I know about how terrible this experience was. For Christmas Eve, my extended family and I always get together to do an activity in the morning and have lunch together. There were eleven of us who decided to spend our special occasion at Mimi’s Café. First off, service getting a table was already a bit slow(I’m not holding the staff against this however because it looked like they were short staffed and we’re a relatively larger party). Then, the server was not very hospitable, very quick with his requests and we felt rushed. When the food finally came, two of the people in my party ordered the French Pot Roast which was luke warm at best. My cousin ordered a burger well done, and it came out Medium at best. My brother and I ordered the American Pot Roast and were immediately disappointed at how bland and plain the whole dish wash. Broccoli was stale, the«roast» was dry and had zero seasoning… it was awful. A truly, spectacularly awful plate of food for $ 14. I can’t believe you guys get away with charging that much for a dish that is really just not good at all. Seriously, overall the food was at the caliber of maybe a Country Buffet… Finally, when all was done, the server presented us the check which was NOT split. When we asked him to split it for us, he instead asked us to do it ourselves and handed us a pen to write it down… Ummm… okay, not very hospitable again… but we did so anyways with clear directions. He brings the checks back maybe 15 minutes later and of course… they’re WAYYY off and incorrect. So we wait another 15 minutes before he even comes back and tell him that not only did he separate the checks incorrectly(I’m talking not even close to being correct at all), he also charged us extra for cups of soup. On the menu, it clearly says soup is $ 2.50 extra with an entrée but he neglected that detail. Anyways, he decided it would be best if we all huddled around his Point of Sale system to manually tell him what we ordered one by one… wasting an incredibly vast amount of our precious time on our special occasion. Seriously, this was probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had and I will never make the mistake of succumbing my family to such a terrible place again. Most customers… when they have a bad experience… they don’t generally tell you that. They just walk out never ever to return to your business. What’s worse is you’ll never know why or that something was wrong. I’m taking the time to tell you how horrible this experience was, hoping you can change your practices to better serve your customers in the future. **UPDATE** as of 1÷6÷2016: The server, his name is Donivan, also proceeded to give himself more tip than I approved. But just enough to the point he thinks nobody would notice or even care. Guess what Donivan, I noticed and I’m calling you out. I gave him $ 3 on $ 17 which is more than he deserves given this joke of a performance. I always save my customer copy cause I’ve been burned in the past by clowns like him who decide to pad in a little extra for himself. Well, bank statement came in and he gave himself a $ 4 tip. Look… its only a $ 1 more. But its the principal of the matter here… this guy gave himself just enough extra for people like you and I to not care. How many people has he probably done this to? Those dollars add up over time. So they have thieves working there too. Am I surprised… nope. Hey Donivan and Mimi’s Café, I have the receipt still to prove it. You guys are bloody awful. You forced me to say it and I’m not even British. Just bloody awful. Get it together.

I have always been a big fan of Mimi’s, but I am less than thrilled with the menu changes they have made within the last year or so. Now they’ve gone and messed with the bread basket. They have taken the absolutely scrumptious carrot muffins and made them into a French shape.(I forget what the name of it is, but it resembles a shell.) BIG disappointment. I know part of the reason they made the changes was to be more«French». I think this was a big mistake. Guacamole is NOT French. The dessert menu is limited and boring. Actually the whole menu leaves a lot to be desired. On our most recent visit — Friday December 18th — we were seated promptly. Our service was nice and friendly, but I think it must have been her second night. She was s l o w. We had to ask for everything(silverware, tea, water). My husband ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich and onion soup as his side. The soup was average. He disliked the sandwich so much that he only ate half of it. He said it was«blah». On previous visits I have LOVED the chicken pot pie. It was still flavorful, but it was mostly gravy/sauce. There was hardly any chicken or vegetables. Disappointing. My husband has never been a fan of Mimi’s, but he has gone because I used to love it! Key words — used to. After this last visit, I don’t care if I ever go there again. Au revoir Mimi’s.

I don’t know why I keep coming back to this location. Once we got seated, it took at least 10 minutes to get a booster chair for my son. The server was a young guy and didn’t seem like he was in the weeds. But sadly the other servers where to bust hanging out just talking and didn’t help him. My eggs benidict was cold and I was offered a muffin while I got a new one but it just took forever watching my family eat while I wait. The portions are small compared to the huge plates they use. At the end the server was anxious to get rid of us and dropped our check without asking if we wanted anything else. I needed a refill, never got it and we were going to purchase more items but I guess you guys didn’t want my business. Plus I never saw a manager or had anyone apologize for the inconvenience of my family breakfast.

The food was subpar. The food came out as if it was microwaved or turned to mush in preparation. Service, not so great either they forgot to bring out kid menus when asked, and then only after order.

I enjoyed this place. There was a problem with one of the dishes and the cook fixed it right away.

We’ve come here quite a few years. Their menu has changed since the first time we came, but the food has always been pretty good. However, the service fell apart with this visit. The hostess was rude enough to the party in front of us that they left. We had a long wait to get seated, then a long wait to get served. The mushroom Brie burger was pretty good, my kids liked their tilamook Mac & cheese. Overall our experience was so so. I almost forgot to mention the flies buzzing around the dining room and the filthy bathroom.

I wasn’t too fond of this place. The setting was nice but the menu had limited brunch options. I had the pot roast which wasn’t the best(too much gravy). Service was just regular. I doubt I’ll be returning back here!

What happened to this place!!! With so many good restaurants to go to near Colorado Mills, friends and I chose Mimi’s Café because of previous good experiences. WHAT A MISTAKE! Service was terrible. Really? A half an hour to get our order in and an hour to see our food? Really? There were only about 8 or 9 tables of customers. Maybe that should have been our clue. And dirty! YUCK! If the dining room wasn’t bad enough, if I’d seen the ladies’ room earlier rather than later, there’s no way I would have stayed and ordered. When we asked for utensil set-ups(Yes, we had to ask) we thought it was a fluke that one of the napkins that the waiter tossed on the table was dirty. Guess not. I’d hate to see the kitchen. If the food was really good, maybe you let some things slide. The food was definitely NOT really good. How do you make a chopped salad hard to eat??? I wish I could post a review that gave 0 stars. Do yourself a favor… go ANY place else.

Way to much money for what you get. Plus, on this trip the attitude of the staff was off… As though they were bothered by having customers. Of you want breakfast, consider The Egg and I, other meals, Summit Brewery — big yum! And good services CE at both places. Plus both are local.

Mimi’s is always such a pleasant time for eating out. My grandparents adore this place and its conveniently near their house. The service is always friendly and welcoming. I have been here countless times and I have not been disappointed. Their food is very good and flavorful. It’s made fresh and you can tell. The salads are always crisp, soups are always hot and muffins are sooo delicious. Their quiche and hamburgers are mouth watering, muffins and bread are so good. I have to watch myself because I could eat the whole bread basket that they bring to the table before my actual food arrives. lol Their French onion soup is one of my favorites. Made just right. Their tomato soup is also very good. If your on your way up to the mountains and pass the Denver west area but want something different and a little low key I would try Mimi’s. Grab a pack of muffins with you on your way out to have something to eat in the mountains too, you won’t be disappointed.

I read through the reviews prior to going here but it was someone else’s choice so away we went. First off, the area we sat if was pretty dirty, stuff all over the floor and the glass dividers had hand smears on them. We had a really new waitress and she did pretty good I must say, but the kitchen was REALLY slow. I wish I would have timed it to see how long it took to get our food, and the place did not seem that busy. A manager type did stop by to see if everything was«looking» okay and a couple of the guys mentioned the kitchen was slow. She did go back and talk to them and gave us a 20% discount on our tickets so I will give them that one. I had the fish and chips($ 13.99, not worth it). And like many of the other reviews, the fries were soggy and cold. The coleslaw was changing colors around the edge as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp or something. The fish looked good but was actually a bit tough. Maybe I made the wrong menu choice so check out the other reviews before going here.

I have many fond memories at this location from my high school years until now. I have mostly enjoyed my time as well as my food until recently. In the last 5 times I have gone here only once was my experience about par. As mentioned in my tip the one time I had enjoyed myself was at night when they did not have a lot of people inside the restaurant. The other times I have gone and had a bad experience have been at high busy times like lunch and breakfast. We also most times wait a really long time for the food to come out. I have had the wait staff apologize for mistakes and sub-par service just about every time and not just at my table but those around me as well. The wait staff I don’t really have a complaint against but I think that the staff in the back and the wait staff are on odds. On more than one occasion I have heard comments from the wait staff about the differences/issues with the cooking staff. I hear often their frustrations, as well as, actually hearing the cooking staff and wait staff arguing one time loudly. The wait staff openly complains about the cooking stuff to the customers. Our waitress today said«If I ask the cook staff where your order is one more time I think they will back hand me.» This was after we had been waiting 45min for our food. I don’t think that they perform as a team under pressure with stress and a lot of people inside the restaurant. The food is also mediocre, not perfect and they tend to make a lot of mistakes with your orders. We also had asked for something that had been on the menu before and they told us it wasn’t there anymore, but then moments after we saw the table next to us order it and they got what we had just wanted but was told was unavailable. They could use a lot of work working as a team.

Service was super slow. Food was wrong and cold and instead of comping the wrong breakfasts, the brought us muffins. Terrible. Won’t be back. Blue Sky Café in the same shopping center is way better.
