Dr Gottlieb’s mission statement is to provide every patient with extraordinary care. Dr. Gottlieb and his associates are both glaucoma and «red eye» certified so they can be your primary eye care providers.

Our office accepts most insurance plans including VSP, Eyemed, MES, ColeVision, OptumHealth, Blue Cross and many others.

Our office has a wide varriety of designer frames to chose from including Rayban, Oakley, Tom Ford, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Coach, Juicy, and many many more. 1 Hour Service is available depending upon the prescription and lens options. Also, most contact lens wearers are fit in contacts the same day! Dr Gottlieb can also speak Spanish fluently enough to complete an exam. 3D computer technology digitizes every frame so that when mated with your prescription lenses the lenses and frame match perfectly. Perfect fits, accurate prescriptions, internet low price guarantee, and the latest fashion eyewear are what await you at our office.

Established in 1981.

Dr. Gottlieb Optometry was established in 1981 and has been in practice in the Lakewood community for over 20 years. We have recently opened a new practice in the Lakewood Mall to further serve the lakewood community!

Friendly & Helpful staff haven’t met the doctor have lots of eye wear selection and they even said if I wanted a certain frame they would order it for me and if I didn’t like it they would just add it to their inventory no charge. Price? Mmm I would say some are reasonable but if your insurance less of course get lens from Costco! Lol

The doctor is very nice and I really enjoyed my eye exam.
He takes almost all insurance and said getting me approved was no problem. I went in to some prescription sunglasses and the gal behind the desk was very sweet and showed me my options. I went with a pair or Ray Bans and got $ 100 off with my insurance.
He did up sell me quite a few things, but I enjoy the prism and mirror lenses.
Here I was the only one there and got the doctors full attention!
The after process however was less than favorable.
They gave me a promise date on my sunglasses. The pushed it back 3 separate times. Went for a week and a half promise date to around 3 weeks.
Finally got them, was pleased with the sunglasses.
However it took the doctor about a month and a half to give me any sort of follow-​up.
In store visit is good but after you leave it seems like they forget about you.

Dr. Gottlieb was fabulous. I saw him for the first time today. Not only did he get me in for an appointment in a timely manner, he was very thorough and helpful. He addressed an issue that I’ve been having for a long time. I had seen a doctor at Costco twice for the same issue and she brushed it off and basically said there was nothing that could be done. Despite the fact that I will have a longer drive, Dr. Gottlieb will now definitely be my primary optometrist. It’s worth the drive to get good care. It was a great experience!

Dr Lee was awesome, she was able to adjust my prescription to where my eye sight was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also gave Text reminders for my appointment. I plan to use this Office for now on. Oh, I almost forgot, they are going to mail me my contacts also! No driving back or waiting until I can get free time to pick up my lens like other places I e been to.

I have been going to this location for about 6 years now and always have a great experience with the Doc. He is always straight forward and answers all of my questions. Even gives me tips on how to help my eyes because I am really sensitive to light. Just great experience with a doctor who cares.

I have been going to Dr. Gottlieb since I was 6 years old and they were at Mainplace mall back in those days. I make the drive to this location because I always get great service. Dr. Gottlieb and his son are wonderful guys. I always recommend this office to anyone in need of an optometrist. Here’s to another 20 years!

The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond. Dr. Gottlieb is very professional and helpful with all customers. He made sure all of my questions were answered. I am very happy to have a place so close to home that offers exceptional service! I recommend anyone that needs glasses to stop by. This is my second year going here. Friendly staff and the doctor gave an accurate prescription. Also got my 4 year old an eye exam. He’s pretty good with children. Pretty close to where I live which makes it very convenient. Will be coming back for my next year.

Been coming to Dr. Gottlieb for two years. The service is great! The staff are friendly, and the Dr. I very knowledgeable about optometry. My immediate family uses this optometry office. I will tell friends and family about Dr. Gottlieb optometry.

Not very personable, especially with children. His demeanor is very lackluster and sleepy. He seems to brush off my questions about my child very quickly with no thorough explanation.
He also went to put numbing stuff in my son’s eye for the glaucoma test without telling me what it was until I asked, which I definitely do not appreciate. I think as a parent of young children we like to be informed on what is being done. I definitely would not recommend DR Gottlieb for children. Probably fine for adults.

I normally visit the other location, however was sent here to do a follow up visit following my Lasik surgery. The Dr. told me that I could buy my tear drops in bulk next door at the costco, he suggested buying the non name brand which are working just fine for a huge savings!

Amazing service! Myra was very helpful! We got a deal here on Unilocal $ 25 for $ 50 worth. I really thought that my lenses were price reasonably. I will definitely come back here again.

2nd time I’ve tried to come to the Lakewood Mall location and they are closed. Office hours say 10 – 8. I’m here at 655 and they are closed, time before that it was 1030am and same problem. Terrible, they are definitely losing my business!

I have been to this location as well as Dr. Gottlieb’s other location in Lakewood on Del Amo Boulevard. They are really great about getting me in whenever I need an appointment and have specially ordered me frames whenever I needed them. {I usually scout for the perfect pair online or at a Sunglass Hut} and they can always beat other prices. They take insurance and are very attentive with their patients. They also have a great email notification for when your glasses are ready that I really appreciated and liked.
Highly recommend for eyewear, sunglasses, or any other vision care. I know they also do laser referrals. A+++

First of all to make an appointment and get it within days was perfect. Had appt. at 2, got in at 1:30, seen by 2:15pm. Thats service with a smile. Any of my friends i know of that wear or need eyewear i will tell them to see Dr, Gottlieb.

Had my follow up here instead of their other office and I really liked Dr Gottlieb and the staff they didn’t try to gouge me and get me to buy anything I didn’t need. Really top notch service, Selection is good, could be better, but I guess they cater to the area. It doesn’t really matter, because they’ll order any brand if the frame you want is sister or partner companies with the brands they do carry. I’m a brand snob so they were able to order higher end name brand frames and got them to me quickly. I don’t think I will ever go to any office that isn’t operated by the Gottliebs.
