San Diego Superchargers

I took my Cuda to SDS primarily because they are a dealer for Procharger superchargers. I needed to have my rear narrowed to fit some 11.5″ wheels. I left it to them to do the measuring of the axles and they ended up having the lip of the wheel about two inches from the lip of the fender. Way too narrow. Fail on measurement and style.
Next, they reassembled my Wilwood brake kit with non-​kit parts. Obvi, they lost the bearing retainer, which is specific to the wilwood kit and used the stock Dana retainer, which I turn throws of the spacing of the caliper on the rotor. This causes the pad to drag on the rotor.
Third, their welds look like a two year old used a car battery and coat hangers to weld on the mini-​tub and frame rails. We are all taught to look for a consistent beed to determine if it’s a good weld. Their welds look like gobs of hot metal was splattered on.
Recap, «measure once cut twice» craftsmanship, loses parts that are integral and uses poor choice to a. not tell the customer they messed up and b. tries to cover up mistakes that eventually show themselves anyway. Lastly, welds are sh*t. Never trust a «fabricator» that can’t weld. That craft has to be mastered before you start getting people to pay you for welding work. Shouldn’t have customers pay you to get practice on their ride.
Every time I work on my car or drive by their place a feel great disappointment, not just for myself but for anyone that is suckered by them.
I will trash talk them at every turn because they are dishonest. They might be able to get an old mustang running again or be able to look up German superchargers but as far as fabricating skills your better off sending your car to Tijuana. I wouldn’t trust them to change my oil due to them losing my brake kit parts and not telling me or replacing the lost part with the correct part. Nobody like a liar! Just so incompetent.

I took my 1972 Mustang to SDS after it was sitting for 10 years. Bill brought her back to life without leaving me in the poor house. I read his bio, then I called him for help with my car. Bill is a master at his craft, he overhauled the transmission, rebuilt the carburetor, fixed the brakes, and replaced the water pump. I would recommend Bills shop.

Was having trouble with a German supercharger, emailed San Diego Supercharger over the weekend. They got right back to me Monday morning. They told me that they did not work on the type of blower I have but they gave me the number to another company out of state that does. I really appreciated them pointing me in the right direction!
