I took my car here when my engine died, Mike was great with helping me. Very fair with prices, doesn’t try and rip you off like a lot of mechanics. Got everything done within a week. Being a female its hard finding a good, trust worthy mechanic and I found one in Mike. Im always bringing my car here from now on. Definitely recommend this shop.

A friend recommended Mike to me when I moved back to Cali from Arizona. Just before I returned, I had my ’08 Tucson’s’ 45k service done at the dealer I had bought it at and always used for service. They told me that I needed new breaks and a new timing belt, so I took it in to Mike to have the work done. As a new customer, he did a once over to check it out and told me that the timing belt was good for another 15k miles and that the breaks could wait till my next oil change or even the one after that. He did replace my wiper blades and a light bulb and I got out of there for less than $ 25!!! What a blessing just before Christmas! Mike isn’t getting coal in his stocking! LOL.

I found A&M on Unilocal when my car had died out front of my home. When I called, I actually got the opportunity to speak with the Owner who went above and beyond to help me get my car to his shop and get me back on the road faster than any mechanic I’ve ever done business with. His prices are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!! His staff is professional, so sweet and treat you like «one of the family». We refer everyone we know to him and everyone is extremely happy with his service, treatment of his customers and his skill! Outstanding business, owner and skill!

I have been going to Mike for years — knew he was a good man the moment I first met him. Him and his crew run the shop like a well oiled machine. Honest, fair and get the job done fast.

By far the best service. Dropped off my 2008 Saturn vue with a exhaust leak around 9am and picked it up at 4pm completely fixed for a CRAZY amazing price. Above quality work cleanest and organized shop I have every seen. These guys a truly amazing don’t think twice about a mechanic just come here guarantee you will be happy. took truck to this mechanic (Mike) for what turned out to be a clogged catalytic converter. they had my truck for three days. when I picked it up, it had a bad exhaust leak. they had not welded around the joint where the cat connected to the pipe. I returned to have them weld the cat to the exhaust pipe, during which time he stripped two of the three studs which hold the pipe to the manifold, and told me, I might have to bring it in some other time to repair it. the next time I called, he would not return my call. I have been driving the truck for several months by applying high temp silicone sealer around the flange, which lasts about a week each time. I had the cat on the other side replaced about a year earlier by wally’s muffler @ about three hundred dollars. A&M charged me over five hundred for the same repair and damaged my truck. I’m not sure what else they did to it, but it often will not start unless I depress the accelerator while cranking the engine over. these guys totally screwed up my otherwise nice truck. I don’t think my truck will ever run right again, if so, I’m sure it will cost me.

Based on reviews from Unilocal,I took my car to A&M. I’m surprised I had not checked this place out previously since it is only a couple of miles from my home and I like to keep things local if I can. Anyway, I stopped by yesterday to inquire about a tune up for my car. I met Mike and he took a look at my car, went to check if he had the necessary parts on hand and I made an appointment for this morning. I arrived to drop my car off and expected to walk home and return later. He said he could have the job done quickly if I wanted to wait. About 45 minutes later, the job was done! And for what I thought was a very reasonable price! I will definitely be going back to A&M with my other vehicles.

Mike Martin has been our auto mechanic for over 10 years, servicing our Dodge van, a Lexus, and 2 Toyotas. We have never had any issues, and his pricing has always been more than fair. If we need, he will come to our home (or anywhere here in San Diego) to provide service at a minimal «trip charge». Always friendly, and willingly offers advice over the phone when needed. We highly recommend you give him a call and see for yourself.

I called, e-​mailed this business Christie and Mike for ten Days straight and they are
the most rude, unreliable people I ve seen in a life time.
I took off a full tour from work to wait for an appointment after 10 days of
drama and drama and stories upon stories just for this company to come and check out my car. This guy is a complete flake and calls to say again that he cant make it he is so busy after he made an appointment guranteed. and I am out $ 300 lost
wages for taking the day off.
Do not use this business under ANY CONDITIONS unless you have the patience
for nonstop bs, put the answering machine on, no e-​mails answered, no, calls returned unless
you call them over and over and over. Customer service TEN STARS BELOW

Spoke with a friend who said she had the same exact experience with them
being totally UNRELIABLE and FUlL of DRAMA stories for calls not getting returned, e-​mails not answered and appointments not kept.
If big winded stories is your bag then call and use them.
I highly suggest to look elsewhere and dont loose $ 300 in a days pay because
they are full of balony.

I just couldn’t see taking my car to my old place anymore. No matter how many times I told them what the problem was they always charged us for diagnostic ($ 75) just to tell them what we already knew.
So, Mike was referred to us by a neighbor about three years ago and we’ve been taking our vehicles there ever since. He’s honest and very trustworthy. We never need to go back for the same problem twice.
Recently, my husband’s car wouldn’t start for him so we called up Mike. He was going to make repairs on site however, the part was going to come later in the day. He came over to our place, picked up the car and took it back to his shop.
We got a call back to confirm it was what I had previously suggested and now our vehicle is up and running even better before.
There was an incident when a mechanic caused damage to one of our vehicles. Mike had all the damage repaired and reduced the cost of our bill drastically to compensate for the damage.
I cannot be happier with the workmanship and integrity of this shop. I’m very pleased with the excellent service we continually receive.

All of my coworkers use these guys as their mechanics so I tried them out when I had a problem with the electric in my car. The 2 owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. They found the problem very quickly (it was 80 cents stuck in the cd slot!) and charged me a reasonable price. Mike also made a list of other things that I should slowly start fixing on the car-​without charging me for it. These guys will come out to your place of business as well to do oil changes. They are very competitively priced and will not rip you off. After that great experience I will only trust them with my cars and recommend them… if you don’t live in the east county it is worth the drive to get your car repaired by this company.

Mike is truly the definition of a good guy. As a young female, most mechanics will try and rip me off and sell me things that I don’t need. Mike is completely honest, friendly, fast and efficient and I disagree with Meesh B about his prices being slightly higher. I’ve found his prices to be much lower than other places I’d been previously quoted for the same work.
You can call Mike at any time and he’ll give you the advice you need. I currently live in LA and I still call him for advice if my car is acting up. He’ll let me know the price range of what I should be paying and what the problem should be (so I don’t get an up-​sell kind of mechanic ripping me off).
All of the guys at his shop are friendly and trustworthy. I won’t take my car any other place. My entire family makes sure to bring all of our vehicles to Mike, even for something like an oil change. He even does the fleet of trucks for my dad’s business. He’s truly the best mechanic I’ve dealt with and a real stand-​up guy.
I can’t recommend him enough! Definitely give him a call if your car needs some work (he’ll even come to you if you can’t make it to the shop). You won’t be disappointed.

I drove from Mira Mesa to A&M Mobile Mechanic on the suggestion from my fiancée. Mike… the mechanic was extremely nice, and in fact, so was everyone else who works there. Everyone said either «Hi» or «Good Morning» to me. He helped me understand my car. I’m waiting for a call from him to give me an estimate on what needs to be done to my car. I’ll update once he does the work on my car. So far, so good. 5 stars all the way around.

Recently, I found out, through other mechanics, that a lot of stuff on my car was not how it should be. Such as, the wrong battery was put in (so the hood stand did not lie properply, which could have shorted my battery)…the timing belt cover was broken by the mechanic, who did not tell me, and did not replace it (by that time, I was over the idea of ever going back)…and a few other things. I will never go back to that shoddy work.

Mike has been servicing my cars for nearly 8 years now. I can’t say enough good things about the quality of service and his reasonable prices! He has helped me out of some bad situations over the years and I cannot imagine trusting my cars to anyone else. It can be hard to find a quality mechanic that you can trust. Mike is definitely one of the best in the business!
