I was pleasantly surprised. Was dreading it when hubs chose this place for lunch. Had a chicken wrap with 5 million veges added to it. Was super fresh and delicious. Portions are HUGE.
You really cannot rely on Unilocalers — had I done that I would have never stepped foot in this place. We’re definitely coming back !

Great place for breakfast or lunch. We came here with friends and enjoyed a FABULOUS brunch on Saturday. My husband ordered the bacon and eggs plate. His scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious. He ordered the bacon and hash browns crispy. They came out perfect. I had the pastrami sandwich. YUM. They freshly slice their pastrami for each order. One of the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever eaten. The fries were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our friends had an omelette. They raved about the flavor and the generous portion. In addition to the great food, the service was spectacular. The waitress checked in with us periodically throughout the meal and made sure our drinks were always filled. Both the men and women’s bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I have been to this restaurant 3 times now, and I have always been very pleased with the experience. The service is always quick and friendly. The Turkey sandwich is my favorite, made with thick freshly sliced roasted turkey breast, lettuce, tomatoes on your choice of bread. I always add avocado for only .99 more. Their sandwiches are huge and delicious. They give you at least ½ of an avocado. It comes with fries or coleslaw or cottage cheese. Seriously the best turkey sandwich! The Turkey Cobb Salad is always good too with large chunks of Turkey and Bacon. Tonight we had their rolls for the first time… OMG! Fantastic! Great restaurant!

When there are more employees than customers and the service is very slow, this is not a good thing. Their food is okay but doesn’t make up for the service. This is the fault not of the young girls working there, but for the owner who was sitting at the counter watching TV, not noticing or acknowledging customers and not paying attention to what his employees were doing. He doesn’t seem to care about the business and this shows in the overall indifference of the place. The restroom was also very dirty. Just overall a big disappointment and we probably won’t bother to come back.

5⁄20 we ordered a to-​go order my husband went to pick it up waitress told him to sit down and wait took his debit card came back after 5 to 10 minutes said I’m sorry we charged two charges on your debit card one that wasn’t yours for $ 38 I refunded that and then charged yours for $ 21 my husband asked why would you make two charges on my card why didn’t you come tell me good thing I had the extra money on the card or we wouldn’t be eating dinner the problem is this was a debit card and now my other deductions are being kicked back I feel this should have been handled differently they never even offered any kind of Retribution for her mistake and because of the wait my food was soggy I wouldn’t go back there

So nice to be greeted by super-​pleasant hostess (Caitlyn?) who seated us right away and jumped in when necessary to help our server Shasta. We would give the food a solid 4 but when you have service like that, it immediately gives you the desire and incentive to go back for another meal. The Fried Chicken was perfectly cooked with a crispy, crunchy coating that wasn’t greasy at all and it was served with a zucchini corn succotash that was very tasty. I didn’t like the mashed potatoes cuz they had too much parsley in them so Caitlyn quickly substituted a baked potato for me when Shasta was busy at another table. They make a great team! Thank you!

Sat awkwardly by a man with broken English. Waitress took over 5 minutes to ask for a drink order. Ordered biscuits and gravy and a chicken fried steak. Took 25 min!!! Biscuits were chewy. The cook stood at a booth and stared down the restaurant. AKWARD. I used to love this place NEVER again.

Me and my dad come here often for breakfast and love it! We both always get the bacon avocado Benedict (our favorite), served with hash browns that have onions and bell peppers on top! The service is always great when we go and the food always comes out delicious. Definitely the place to go for good eggs Benedict! Oh and I like how they actually have vanilla creamer for the coffee, as many breakfast places I have been to do not offer creamer.

Been living in Lakeside for about 3 years now and this is the first time we’ve been in since it became Mila’s Café. I must say I don’t know why all the 1 – 3 star reviews. When I walked in I gave my name to the hostess and she informed me there was a 15 to 20 minute wait. 10 minutes later we had a table. Service was super friendly and efficient. Our server Angela was amazing, she was quick and made sure to check on every table of hers about every 5 minutes or so. They were super busy, and almost as soon as one table cleared out they got it cleaned up and turned around and were seating it again. When our food came out the portions were HUGE! The Steak was AMAZING! It was my hubby’s but I stole a piece before her even got to. I had the chicken strips and they were pretty good. But next time I’m totally getting the steak!

Came here this morning for brunch around 12. It’s pretty empty around this hour to my surprise. when we went in the server girls were talking to each other so they didn’t see us right away. Service was okay, but definitely not outstanding (but at least she’s nice tho). Food was a huge letdown. we ordered a chicken fried steak and pork chop breakfast. the hash brown and potato are flavorless. Pork chop was so DRY. The atmosphere was just okay.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away, however, a bit awkward. The hostess sat us next to another table, close enough to reach over to their side, while the rest of the room was empty.
Our waitress was wonderful — very friendly and upbeat. She catered to our every needs. Our order came out very quickly and everything was true to what the menu listed. The Monte Cristo was not battered or deep fried (like how it’s typically made). The onion rings were really oily and came out a little soggy.
Fish and chips came out very well, and easily could have been shared by two people.
The restroom was not very clean.

I’ve been coming here for a while, today it looks like they’ve changed owners. For my first time with the new mgmt, eventing was as expected. Good food, laid back ambiance, good stuff.
Our server (Sam) was a delight, friendly, funny and a great server. Big thanks to her for doing such a good job.

Was Lakeside Café under new management Now Mila’s Lakeside Café.
Lakeside Café was good home cook meals, good service and in a clean environment.
Mila’s has dirty floors, walls and tables and it took over 30 minutes to get our order. A burger with fries and eggs Benedict with hash browns.
The food quality was good. Great eggs Benedict and the burger was excellent, but the fries that came with the burger were now skinny fries that were overcooked and stale at the same time. Horrible fries!
In summary, they could use some paint and a good regular cleaning. Need to improve the speed of the kitchen orders too.
